Abstract

The development of science in the field of construction in Indonesia at present is very rapid, including in the construction of housing, offices, high-rise buildings, hospitals, bridges and other infrastructure. To achieve high concrete quality, it is very dependent on the materials of sand, gravel and reinforced concrete used in the planned construction. Therefore, from the principles stated above, a number of problems related to concrete quality can be identified, considering the scope of the problem is very broad, so not all of the above problems are studied the actual concrete design content. The purpose of this study is to determine the Quality of Concrete Construction Materials in the Pastori Tiga Building of GMIM Yudea Paal Dua and is expected to provide general information in the world of Civil Engineering and for areas that have natural resources so as not to cause doubts in its use as a coarse aggregate in a concrete mixture whether it can be in accordance with the desired or expected quality. The method used in this study is the Exploratory Survey Method where this method is used to determine the quality of sand and gravel building materials, through laboratory testing. To obtain data on the quality characteristics of sand and gravel quality, these materials are tested through the laboratory by assuming the regulatory instructions regarding the quality testing of sand and gravel quality according to PBI 1971 NI. The data analysis results obtained showed that the sand tested, from Manado City, was suitable for use because it met the requirements of ASTM C 35-37, PBI-71, NI 2, and did not require washing. The gravel tested, from Manado City, was unsuitable for use because it did not meet the requirements of ASTM or PBI-71 and required gradation improvement. This was due to the presence of grains larger than 31.5 mm.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational technology in supporting lecturers' performance and its contribution to student learning outcomes in the Building Engineering Education Study Program at Manado State University. The research design uses a sequential explanatory approach, starting with a quantitative stage through a survey of 20 lecturers and 100 students, followed by a qualitative stage through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research instruments include a Likert-scale questionnaire, interview guidelines, and classroom observations. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression, and thematic analysis. The results showed that the level of educational technology utilization was in the high category (M = 119.77; SD = 7.11) and lecturer performance was also high (M = 119.13; SD = 7.13). There was a significant positive correlation between educational technology and lecturer performance (r = 0.317; p < 0.01), as well as a direct effect on student achievement (β = 0.189; t = 2.826) and mediating variables such as commitment (β = 0.366; t = 4.038) and learning independence (β = 0.211; t = 2.130). These findings reinforce the theories of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and Task-Technology Fit (TTF), which emphasize the alignment between technology, pedagogy, and content as the foundation for increasing learning effectiveness. The study recommends strengthening lecturers' digital literacy, integrating technology into lesson planning, providing adequate infrastructure, and periodically evaluating the use of educational technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the influence of hard skills on job readiness at SMK N 1 Tondano, 2) the influence of soft skills on job readiness at SMK N 1 Tondano, 3) the influence of 4C skills on job readiness at SMK N 1 Tondano, 4) There is a significant simultaneous influence between hard skills, soft skills, and 4C skills on job readiness at SMK N 1 Tondano students. The research design is quantitative with a correlational research approach, using simple and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study are: 1) there is a significant influence between hard skills on job readiness at SMK N 1 Tondano, contributing 13.76%. 2) there is a significant influence between soft skills on job readiness at SMK N 1 Tondano, contributing 10.82%. 3) There is a significant influence between 4C skills on the work readiness of State Vocational High School 1 Tondano, which contributes 19.36%. 4) There is a simultaneous significant influence between hard skills, soft skills, and 4C skills on the work readiness of students of State Vocational High School 1 Tondano, which contributes 26.01%. Thus it can be concluded: that the improvement of hard skills, soft skills, and 4C skills includes critical thinking skills, problem solving, time management, to the ability to deal with pressure, communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, and work ethics of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication is expected to improve work readiness in the form of critical thinking skills, problem solving, time management, to the ability to deal with pressure, discipline, and responsibility in work. Or in improving work readiness must pay attention to hard skills, soft skills, and 4C skills that actually provide a meaningful contribution. With the existence of conducive hard skills, soft skills, and 4C skills, it is hoped that they will be able to provide maximum work readiness for students. In other words, having a high level of hard skills, soft skills, and the 4Cs can foster good or high levels of student job readiness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for empowering teachers and parents in the implementation of early childhood education (ECE) in Mapanget District, Manado City. Empowerment is understood as an effort to enhance the capacity, participation, and collaboration between teachers and parents to support children’s holistic development. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document studies involving five ECE institutions and fifteen informants consisting of principals, teachers, and parents. The results show that teacher empowerment is carried out through continuous training, academic supervision, and reflective learning forums. Parent empowerment is implemented through parenting programs, active involvement in school activities, and two-way communication between teachers and families. The main supporting factors include local government policy support and a collaborative community spirit, while the main challenges are parents’ low educational literacy and limited institutional resources. This study recommends strengthening community-based school–family partnerships and developing participatory empowerment models suited to the local context.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of business capital and pricing on culinary business revenue in micro-enterprises in South Tidore District. This study uses a quantitative method with a population of 77 active culinary businesses in South Tidore District. The results of the study indicate that the business capital variable has a positive and significant effect on revenue, as indicated by a coefficient value of 0.423, with a calculated t-value of 4.069 > t-table 1.992 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The pricing variable also has a positive and significant effect on revenue, with a coefficient value of 0.498, a calculated t-value of 5.283 > t-table 1.992, and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Simultaneously, business capital and pricing have a significant effect on culinary business revenue, as evidenced by a calculated F-value of 228.719 > F-table 3.119 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the greater the business capital and the more appropriate the pricing applied, the higher the income obtained by micro culinary businesses in South Tidore District.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Tidore Islands City Education Office. The purpose of this study was to determine what efforts were made to improve the performance and work discipline of ASN in the Tidore Islands City Education Office. The data collection techniques used by the author in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the data analysis technique used by the author in this study was descriptive qualitative, namely the collected data was processed and analyzed by describing and linking it with theories that were in accordance with the existing problems, then conclusions and suggestions were drawn. The population was all ASN employees at the Tidore Islands City Education Office, a total of 38 people. When viewed overall, the results of the study show that there has been an improvement from before where there were some employees who were already disciplined at work, however, there are still a small number of employees who still often commit disciplinary violations while working. Such as not obeying the rules of work hours, going home not according to work hours and often leaving their desks.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Keandalan (Reability), Daya Tanggap (Responsive), Jaminan (Assurance), Empati dan Bukti Fisik (Tangibles Terhadap Kepuasan Pasien Pengguna BPJS di Puskesmas Tomalou Kota Tidore Kepulauan. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda.. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 273 orang responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial variabel jaminan (assurance) dan bukti fisik (tangibles) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pasien, sedangkan variabel keandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), dan empati (empathy) tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Secara simultan, seluruh variabel bebas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pasien dengan nilai Fhitung sebesar 53,331 dan signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05). Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan aspek jaminan pelayanan dan fasilitas fisik dalam upaya meningkatkan kepuasan pasien BPJS di tingkat puskesmas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of strategic management in enhancing business competitiveness in the digital era, particularly among MSMEs in Kepulauan Sula Regency, North Maluku. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that businesses applying strategic management principles consistently tend to be more adaptive to digital transformations and are able to access broader markets. Key success factors include business vision, the ability to seize digital market opportunities, and support from local policies and communities. This research reinforces the significance of strategic management in navigating digital business dynamics, especially in island regions with limited infrastructure. The results are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers and entrepreneurs in designing locally grounded strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of women's roles from housewives to online entrepreneurs in Makassar City and identify the driving factors and challenges faced in this process. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling of women transitioning to digital entrepreneurship through platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results show that Makassar women have experienced significant social transformations along with the development of digital technology. Social media plays a crucial role in transforming domestic activities into productive economic activities. Key driving factors include economic needs, technological convenience, and social support from family and community. This transformation demonstrates the conversion of social capital into economic capital, as described by Bourdieu and Coleman, where trust and social networks are key forces for women's empowerment. Despite facing challenges such as dual role conflict, limited digital literacy, and limited access to capital, women demonstrate high social resilience by leveraging community networks and local solidarity. This research confirms that women's empowerment in the digital era depends not only on technological mastery, but also on the ability to manage and maintain social capital as a sustainable economic force.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of parents' roles in shaping children's gender understanding in Makassar City, particularly within the context of the intersection of traditional Bugis-Makassar values and modern urban values. This study employed qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach, involving ten informants, parents of children aged 5–12. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources, techniques, and member checking. The findings of this study highlight three main points. First, parents' roles in childcare are still heavily influenced by traditional role divisions, with mothers being more dominant in the domestic sphere and fathers in the public sphere. This pattern shapes gender symbols that children internalize from an early age. Second, family parenting is in a phase of negotiation between traditional and modern values. Young families tend to adopt egalitarian patterns, but pressures from tradition and the extended family maintain the strength of traditional values. Third, children respond differently to gender messages. Some adhere to family values, while others question gender boundaries due to exposure to digital media and more egalitarian school environments. These findings reinforce Mead's Symbolic Interactionism perspective, which states that children's gender identity is formed through the process of interpreting symbols from their parents' behavior and their social environment. Overall, this study concludes that children's gender understanding is the result of a dynamic interaction between parenting styles, local culture, and the influence of modernity. Therefore, gender education in families needs to be directed toward a more equal, reflective, and responsive pattern to social development.
