Abstract

The feud between Russia and Ukraine has taken the world by storm. Reports related to the dispute between the two countries were presented in various ways by various mass media around the world, including the Indonesian mass media. One of the interesting news on the sidelines of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is the news of the shooting of US journalists in Ukraine. The topic became a hot issue between the onslaught of war between the two countries. The purpose of this research is to look at the framing done by CNNIndonesia.com and Sindonews.com in reporting on the shooting of US journalists in Ukraine. The research method utilizes a qualitative paradigm and applies the concept of framing Pan and Kosicki. The results of the analysis of CNNIndonesia.com and Sindonesws.com chose the same issue in reporting information. But both framed the shooting of US journalists in Ukraine with different styles of expression. CNNIndonesia.com uses the concept of an inverted pyramid while SindoNews.com does not use the concept of an inverted pyramid. CNNIndonesia.com gives freedom to readers to construct the issue shooting, while Sindonews.com blames the Russian army for the shooting of the US journalist, thus defend the victim. The language used by Sindonews.com is more interesting than CNNIndonesia.com. This shows that the two media have different expressive styles in providing information to the public. The results of the analysis can be used as one of the news text teaching materials so that students can love each other between humans.

Abstract

Social media is increasingly showing its speed in the world of technology. Today's social media users are very diverse, ranging from children, teenagers, adults, to parents who are free to access it anytime and anywhere. The current rapid development of technology in social media has both positive and negative impacts on its use, and one of the most common negative impacts is cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a form of threat in the form of ridicule, hate speech, slander, defamation, or others from one person on social media and is usually in the form of writing/text, images, or sounds. This study uses the literature review method as a source or data material from the paper related to the topic of this research, namely the analysis of the lack of ethics in social media, especially in the case of cyberbullying. This paper aims to analyze or find out cyberbullying from the ethical point of view of communicating on social media.

Abstract

The motifs on woven fabrics actually have deep meanings and serve as media for stories from generation to generation, but the current generation uses gibitir keti and gibitir merek weavings as clothing in traditional dances, dowries in marriages and as expressions of sympathy in mourning and other traditional events. know the meaning of these motifs.There are two purposes of this research, namely 1). to find out the meaning of the gibitir keti and gibitir merek’ woven motifs as a medium for stories about the identity of women and the people of North Kolana; and 2). to find out the study of feminist theology on gibitir keti and gibitir merek’ as a medium for stories about the identity of women and the people of North Kolana. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and the data analysis technique uses data presentation, data reduction, and conclusions. The results of the research are gibitir keti and gibitir merek’ weaving as media in which there are motifs that tell the identity of women and the people of Kolana.Each motif contained in the woven fabric has a deep meaning and value for a kolana woman. Thus, it can be concluded that the motifs on the gibitir keti and gibitir merek’ tell the identity of women who have existed for a long time, which were born from the ideas of women who have actually fought for their equality with Kolana men so that the position of women is not made second class. by men in a patriarchal culture.

Abstract

This research aims to determine wheater employing the language game Spelling Bee as a reading comprehension strategy for eighth-graders at SMPN 7 Medan in the academic year 2021/2022 is effective or not. This quantitative research with a quasi-experimental study utilizes a pretest, treatment, and post-test design. The population of this study is 288 eighth-grade students at SMPN 7 Medan in the academic year 2021/2022, and the sample is 40 students. The data is collected through a multiple-choice test consisting of 10 questions with four choices and the write-down of the meanings of 10 words. The Spelling Bee game contains the study's independent variable, while students' reading comprehension is the study's dependent variable. According to the computation, the post-test result shows that the experimental group's mean score is 85, which is considered good, and the control group's mean is 58,75, which is considered sufficient. It can be concluded that using the language game Spelling Bee as a strategy effectively improves students' reading comprehension at SMPN 7 Medan eighth-grade students in the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, barriers and challenges of character education through online apples to motivate student learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This type of research uses a qualitative case research method that describes the experience of an intensive situation. Sources of research data are school principals, PAI teachers to parents. The object of this research is to motivate the learning of Smart Global Skills Vocational High School students in Bandung. Collecting data by observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model with steps; streamlining data, presenting data, drawing conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) Planning for character education through online apples to motivate student learning during the Covid-19 pandemic first identify and analyze character education problems, formulate goals for online apple activities, make schedules at the beginning of lessons and arrange online apple officers and religious programs, develop assessment instruments, and communicate with parents. (2) Character education through online apples during the research was carried out well by going through the stages; the teacher communicates things that are prepared by students in online learning, informs the schedule and divides online apple assignments in turns, carries out online apples, the teacher motivates with praise. (3) Evaluation is carried out during the online apple ceremony through attendance, discipline, cooperation, and maintaining the online apple situation through an assessment rubric. (4) Obstacles during online apples include; Internet access is not stable, parents do not accompany learning, students feel bored and bored. The solution is that teachers are required to master creative and innovative technology, provide internet and study quotas, and respond quickly to learning difficulties.

Abstract

The shaft is one component of a motorcycle that is no less important than other components. These components function to support the load of the vehicle itself as well as external loads such as humans or cargo on a motorcycle. This study aims to determine the working stress and also the safety factor on the shaft. The component that will be discussed is the front axle of the Supra X 125 Helm In motorcycle. The method used is an experimental method with qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the analysis show that if a load of 70 kg is given, then the value of the working stress is 230.45 N/mm2, while the safety factor is 1.488

Abstract

The aims of this study are 1) to describe the strengthening of Character Education in State Senior High School 9 Ternate City, 2) describe the inhibiting factors of Character Education in State Senior High School 9 Ternate City. This research is a qualitative research. The research location is at State Senior High School 9 Ternate City. The results of this study indicate that strengthening character education in State Senior High School 9 Ternate City is developed through two activities, namely intracurricular and extracurricular activities. Intracurricular includes planning, implementation, and evaluation in a structured manner. Meanwhile, extracurricular strengthening is carried out through; a) Basic Leadership Training, b) Scouting, with scouting students are taught to have high discipline, the spirit of defending the country, mutual cooperation, and love for the homeland, c) interpreneurship, the attitude of students working together, working hand in hand to seek funds Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS). The positive impact of strengthening character education at State Senior High School 9 Ternate City can be explained through: a) there is motivation for students to do good or be honest at all times, b) not break promises or lie between others, c) respect and respect those who are more parents, especially teachers, d) always grateful for every blessing given by God, e) praying in congregation even though there are still many left behind, f) caring for a clean learning environment, g) accustomed to living together in groups, both at school and in their environment. stay, h) have an independent attitude, i) trained to be a leader in the future, j) likes to help friends in difficult circumstances. The inhibiting factors for character education at State Senior High School 9 Ternate include; 1) school environment; Schools as formal spaces are still lacking, for example, there is no theater stage in the school yard. Whereas stage theater can improve students' expression (character); 2) family environment; Most of the parents of State Senior High School 9 Ternate are farmers.

Abstract

The village is one form of embodiment of regional autonomy adopted by our legal system in Indonesia. The election of village heads as representatives of regional autonomy and democracy in Indonesia aims to elect leaders who have the capacity to regulate authority, policy, and management of villages and village communities. The village head election is based on Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages that the village head election is held by the village consultative body and is directly elected by the village community. In the implementation of village head elections, it is possible that there will be dissatisfaction from the contesting parties, causing conflicts and disputes. So the purpose of this study is to find out what and how the legal remedies for resolving village head election disputes are based on Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning this Village. The results of the study will show how legal remedies are in resolving village head disputes and who has the authority to resolve this village head election dispute based on Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning this Village and also implementing regulations and local government regulations because this is the authority local government. So that local governments must make and facilitate rules regarding village head elections in a comprehensive and concrete manner so that there is legal certainty and it is also necessary to establish an ad hoc judicial body that is authorized to resolve village head election disputes.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the results of analysis and interpretation of online learning using zoom cloud meetings which affect the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students, student interest in learning affects mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students, and online learning using zoom cloud meetings and interest student learning affects the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. This research is a quantitative approach research using a descriptive survey method. The instrument used in this study was a closed questionnaire. Descriptive analysis of this study was used to describe the creativity of teachers and students' learning motivation on the learning outcomes of class V Elementary School 03 Manado. Descriptive statistics include the calculation of the mode, median, mean, and standard deviation, with the prerequisite test for normality test and linearity test. In this study, data analysis used simple regression statistical tests and multiple regression. 1) The results of the first hypothesis test which stated that there was a significant influence of online learning media on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class V, State Elementary School 03 Manado. 2) The results of the hypothesis test II which stated that there was a significant effect of student interest in learning on mathematics learning outcomes in class V Elementary School 03 Manado, and based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis III data through SPSS with a significance level of Fcount = 8.886 > Ftable 3.22 with a significance level of 0.000 and 0.001 < 0.05, so from the results of this data analysis, it can be concluded that the multiple regression model has a significant effect jointly between online learning media and students' interest in learning on students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of video vlog on student’s vocabulary mastery for grade 8 junior high school students at SMP ADVENT Sei Bamban. The research method used is experimental research methods. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test where divided into two research classes; experiment and control group. As many as 16 students being in experiment group also 16 students in control group. In calculating the effectiveness of using video vlog on students vocabulary mastery for grade 8 junior high school students at SMP ADVENT Sei Bamban, researchers used Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The data analysis technique was assisted by SPSS. The results showed that the average value of the N-gain score for the experimental class is 81.553 or 81.5% which is included in the category of very effective. Meanwhile,The average N-gain score for the control class is 50.3744 or 50% is included in the effective enough category. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the use of video vlog on student’s vocabulary mastery for grade 8 junior high school students at SMP ADVENT Sei Bamban is very effective to improve students’ vocabulary mastery. This research can be a helpful teaching methods for teacher in teaching vocabulary to students.
