Abstract

This community service aims to improve children’s financial literacy from an early age through socialization activities and creative training at SDN 27 Cempedak. The lack of students’ understanding of the importance of saving serves as the background for the need for enjoyable and practical financial education. The activities carried out include socialization about the benefits and purposes of saving, as well as training in making piggy banks from recycled materials such as plastic bottles, decorative paper, and origami paper as learning media. The implementation method uses a participatory and interactive approach that directly involves students. The results of the activities showed an increase in students’ understanding of the concept of saving, the emergence of motivation to set aside pocket money, and the development of creativity through handicraft activities. This program has had a positive impact in instilling the habit of saving, fostering a frugal and independent character, and introducing the concept of simple financial planning from an early age. It is expected that this activity can continue to be developed into a positive culture in schools with the support of active roles from both parents and the school.

Abstract

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)s in Pare-Pare City face various obstacles in financial management, such as low digital and financial literacy, the use of manual recording systems, difficulties in separating personal and business finances, and low utilization of digital financial applications This community service program aims to increase the capacity of digital-based financial management in Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs in Pare-Pare City, South Sulawesi. This activity is motivated by the rapid development of digital technology but has not been optimally utilized by MSME players in the city. Through this program, the service team from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Hasanuddin University will provide training and assistance in digital financial management, simple financial reporting, and the use of financial applications to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness of MSMEs. The program implementation method includes seminars on the introduction of digital financial technology, training on the use of financial applications, and assistance in implementing digital financial systems. The output targets of this program include increased understanding and skills of MSME actors in digital-based financial management, scientific publications in reputable national journals, online media publications, and IPR. It is expected that this program can contribute to improving the professionalism of financial management of MSMEs in Pare-Pare City so that they are able to survive and develop in the digital era and support regional economic growth.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, particularly in the use of flexible and interactive website-based learning media. However, many teachers still face obstacles in mastering digital skills, thus requiring systematic training. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' competence in utilizing website-based learning platforms, particularly course.akademimerdeka.com, through a series of face-to-face training sessions. The training was conducted in four sessions, namely platform introduction, instructor account creation, digital product development with Canva, and uploading digital products to the platform. There were 12 teachers from Cluster 4, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City, who participated in the activity. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teachers' motivation to design interesting learning activities (96%), their ability to create game-based activities (92%), students' learning skills (91%), and teachers' involvement in continuing education (95%). Additionally, teachers were able to produce digital products such as e-modules, PowerPoint presentations, posters, and animated videos that are integrated with the learning platform. These findings confirm that technology-based training can strengthen the role of teachers as facilitators and innovators of digital learning. In conclusion, training in the use of website-based platforms is effective in improving teacher competence while encouraging interactive, creative, and flexible learning. Follow-up activities include periodic ongoing training, technical assistance, and expansion of implementation to more schools to optimize the use of technology in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The Community Based Ecotourism “Kampung Kita” in Kertarahayu Village, Setu, Bekasi, faces challenges in enhancing digital marketing capacity, mainly due to limited promotional skills and inadequate access to digital media. To address these issues, this community service program applied a Sustainable Digital Marketing Strategy (DAWISMAPAN) through a participatory, needs-based training approach. The activities included identifying partner needs, developing training materials, and conducting a one-day workshop focused on social media optimization, creative visual content creation, and basic digital branding. The program results show a significant improvement in the abilities of the local Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) to promote tourism. Post-training evaluation recorded no low scores; only 4.5% of participants were at score 3, while 40.9% gave a score of 4 and 54.5% gave a score of 5. Participants successfully produced promotional content and managed social media independently, indicating a capacity increase of up to 100%. These findings confirm that targeted digital transformation through structured training strengthens community-based tourism appeal and supports the implementation of smart tourism concepts in rural areas. This program has created a relevant and sustainable model for community empowerment in tourism marketing that can be replicated in similar ecotourism destinations.

Abstract

The Turmeric and Asem Herbal Home Industry is a pioneering MSME by housewives in RW.007 Cikeas Udik, Bogor Regency, and still faces several obstacles, including the still simple equipment used in production, the packaging used is still simple and in its marketing activities it has not implemented green economy-based marketing (green marketing). The purpose of this community service is to increase the productivity and marketing of the turmeric and asem herbal MSME, encouraging MSME actors to increase business productivity, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in order to develop their business. The method of implementing the community service is the presentation of training materials that begins with a pre-test followed by a lecture on the material by the community service team and a question and answer discussion, closing with a post-test to determine the final abilities of the training participants. The results of this activity can increase the productivity and marketing of MSMEs turmeric and tamarind herbal medicine, encouraging MSMEs to increase business productivity, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in order to develop their businesses. The output targets to be achieved The output targets to be achieved are improving management skills, improving the ability to design marketing strategies, publishing articles in reputable journals, IPR, posters and audio-visual works. In this activity, the Community Service Team distributed technology grants to partners from the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology through LLDIKTI 4 in the form of a spice or flour grinding machine. It is hoped that this program can increase the productivity, creativity, innovation and enthusiasm of MSME entrepreneurs and subsequently there will be several times of mentoring from the PKM team to ensure the sustainability of this activity.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the quality of Catholic faith formation among students at Pelibaler Elementary School by implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method, supported by audiovisual media. The program is grounded in the need for a more creative, relevant, and contextual approach to faith education for children who live in an era marked by rapid digital information flows. The CTL approach was chosen because it positions learners as active participants capable of linking religious teachings with their everyday life experiences, thereby fostering a learning process that engages not only the cognitive domain but also the affective and spiritual dimensions. The use of audiovisual media further supports students in understanding faith values in a more concrete, engaging, and comprehensible manner. The implementation included several stages: contextual delivery of faith materials, reflective experience-based activities, group discussions, and a value internalization phase that included an evening of silence and contemplation, followed by a concluding Eucharistic celebration. Evaluation results indicate that the CTL method supported by audiovisual media significantly enhances students’ understanding, engagement, and depth of spiritual reflection. Participant satisfaction data show that the majority fall into the satisfied and very satisfied categories, demonstrating the effectiveness of this method and its suitability for the cognitive and spiritual development of elementary school children. Furthermore, the program highlights that structured faith experiences that address affective dimensions play an essential role in holistic faith formation. As a follow-up, the school is recommended to develop a sustained CTL-based audiovisual module, provide further training for religious teachers and facilitators, and conduct regular faith formation activities. Thus, this PKM initiative not only yields short-term impact but also serves as a foundation for more systematic, creative, and contextual faith development efforts in the future.

Abstract

Borderline Personality Disorder or BPD is a personality disorder whose main symptoms include significant emotional changes, impulsive behavior, and impaired interpersonal and/or occupational functioning. Individuals diagnosed with BPD typically experience discrimination and stigma, resulting in poor identification and delayed treatment. The purpose of this community service is to provide mental health education and early detection of BPD in the community. The implementation method is carried out online via Zoom Meeting. Mental health education begins with pre- and post-tests to measure participants' knowledge before and after the education. There was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results for participants tested using the nonparametric Wilcoxon test (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.014). After that, participants were shown a display of the McLean Screening Instrument for early detection of BPD, along with its interpretation results. This is expected to prevent the emergence of stigma in individuals with BPD and help them recognize early symptoms of BPD, which are risk factors for suicide. In addition, participants can learn about their mental health condition and immediately seek help if needed.

Abstract

The communities in Senayu, Sanegi, and Boepe Villages have long relied on foraging activities such as hunting and fishing as well as gardening around sago plants to meet their food needs. Reduced access to forests on investor-managed land has increasingly limited these food sources, creating the need for a rapid strategy to optimize home gardens to meet household consumption needs. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve community knowledge and skills in cultivating organic plants, thereby strengthening household food security while supporting sustainable environmental management. The program was carried out through training and mentoring, using a participatory approach that actively involved community members at each stage of the activities. The initiative was conducted by lecturers from Yasanto Agricultural Polytechnic and participated in by 26 residents from Senayu, Sanegi, and Boepe Villages. The process included initial coordination, preparation of tools and materials, six days of organic farming training, and three months of home-garden cultivation mentoring. Evaluation was carried out through field observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that participants understood and applied organic cultivation techniques, including the production of organic fertilizer and the management of growing media. These practices resulted in vegetable harvests that were used for household consumption, shared with neighbors, and partially sold. The program proved effective in enhancing community capacity and strengthening household food security. The implications include reinforcing sustainable agriculture practices based on local resources, reducing the use of chemical inputs, and providing an empowerment model that can be replicated and adapted in other villages.

Abstract

This training program is designed to instill anti-violent values through visual storytelling in the form of educational comics created by teachers themselves, adapted to the cultural context and environment of students. This initiative stems from the need for teachers to have engaging, relevant, and effective learning media to prevent violence in elementary schools. The Service Learning (SL) method integrates academic learning with social services, emphasizing direct experience through activities such as designing, discussing, and practicing the skills taught. The training begins with an introductory session on the forms and dynamics of violence in elementary schools, followed by an introduction to comics as a medium for communicative learning. The next stage is comic-making training, in which participants design stories grounded in anti-violence values, covering the following themes: norms in everyday life, anti-bullying, peaceful conflict resolution, the courage to report, deliberations on forming a violence-prevention team, and the character "BOWO" as an anti-violence ambassador. The pre-test results showed that teachers' initial abilities were in the adequate category, with an average score of 38–43. Teachers had strengths in visual creativity, but remained weak in plot development and the use of digital applications. The training process was conducted through hands-on practice, demonstrations, and intensive mentoring, enabling participants to master technical skills ranging from script writing and character design to integrating violence-prevention messages and using digital technology in the creative process. The post-test after the training showed significant improvement with an average score of 80–90, or a good category. A gain score of 0.685 indicated a strong and effective training impact. Overall, the training program was shown to increase teachers' empowerment in producing educational anti-violence comics that are engaging, contextual, and applicable. The resulting comics are expected to serve as a strategic medium for building a positive culture, strengthening student character, and minimizing the potential for violence in elementary education environments.

Abstract

This community service aims to enhance the financial management and marketing strategies of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Maros. Many SMEs struggle with financial management, particularly in cash flow management, cost control, and long-term financial planning. Additionally, SMEs face challenges in marketing, especially in digital marketing and product branding. This program provides training on financial management, including the use of spreadsheet software for financial reporting, and digital marketing strategies. The implementation method includes lectures and tutorials, with support materials such as accounting software and instructional guides. The expected outcomes are improved financial management skills, enhanced marketing strategies, and increased business competitiveness. The program will help SMEs manage finances more effectively and expand market reach through better branding and digital strategies.
