Abstract

The activity aims to analyze financial planning in a quality industrial salt processing business based on technology implementation. The research background is based on the still high national demand for industrial salt and the dominance of imports, so that a business strategy is needed that can produce quality salt through the use of modern technology. The PKM method is through initial preparation to identify partners and problems, conducting workshops, mentoring in technology implementation in the salt industry and monitoring and evaluating activity results. The implementation of technologies such as geomembranes, automatic pump systems, IoT-based sensors, and modern processing equipment requires relatively large capital investment, but can increase efficiency, quality consistency, and product competitiveness. Thorough financial planning includes estimating initial capital requirements, calculating operational costs, cash flow projections, break-even analysis, and evaluating investment feasibility through Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Return indicators. In addition, risk management aspects also play a crucial role in anticipating market price fluctuations, dependence on climate, technology maintenance costs, and industrial salt import policies.

Abstract

This activity aims to analyze human resource planning and risk management at PT Nuno Care Post Partum Depression, a postpartum care center. Postpartum maternal health services require the support of competent, professional, and empathetic personnel, considering the physical and psychological vulnerability of patients. This PKM method involves mapping needs, training, mentoring, and workshops to prepare documents for the required HR planning. Human resource planning at PT Nuno Care is carried out through the stages of workforce needs analysis, competency-based recruitment and selection, continuous training and development, and employee retention strategies. Meanwhile, risk management includes identifying medical, operational, financial, and reputational risks; analyzing the level of probability and impact; and developing mitigation strategies such as implementing service SOPs, a workforce reserve system, emergency response training, and crisis communication protocols. The integration between human resource planning and risk management has been proven to be mutually reinforcing. Appropriate human resource planning helps minimize operational and medical risks, while the results of risk evaluations provide input for improving human resource strategies. Thus, PT Nuno Care is able to provide safe, comprehensive, and high-quality postpartum services, thereby increasing patient and family trust, while building the company's image as a professional and empathetic postpartum care center.

Abstract

Children in orphanages often face challenges in the form of low self-efficacy, lack of exploration of potential, and a mindset that fulfilling basic needs is enough to survive, this condition inhibits their readiness towards social and economic independence. This service programme was carried out at Panti Asuhan Nurul Iman, Pontianak, with the aim of equipping foster children through experiential learning. The series of activities included entrepreneurship education, visits and mentoring by MSME partner Kopi Bubuk Bang Azis, market surveys in the Car Free Day (CFD) area, and practice selling products made by participants. Evaluation was conducted through observation, debriefing, and pre-post intervention questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase from 4 children who understood the basic concepts of entrepreneurship to 19 children after the programme. The success of selling out all products is a concrete validation of the effectiveness of experiential learning methods. Overall, this programme succeeded in increasing the understanding of entrepreneurship, building self-confidence, and instilling a foundation of socio-economic independence for the foster children of Nurul Iman Orphanage.

Abstract

The program “Sharpening the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Orphanage Children through Clay Creation and Simple Digital Marketing” is a form of empowerment for children at the Muhammadiyah Tunas Melati Orphanage in Pontianak City in facing social and economic challenges in the digital era. The program aims to instill an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age through a combination of creative skills and the use of digital technology. Using a participatory and hands-on approach (Participatory Learning and Action), 23 orphanage children aged from elementary school to high school were equipped with an understanding of their potential, clay craft-making skills, and digital promotion training using Canva. The activities consist of three main stages: mapping dreams and strengthening self-management, digital literacy education and social media ethics, as well as an introduction to AI, and entrepreneurship training through product creation and promotional design. The results of the activities show a significant increase in self-confidence, creativity, cooperation, and awareness of technology-based business opportunities. The children were able to produce marketable works and understand moral values such as courage, perseverance, and independence. The program was deemed effective in fostering an adaptive and competitive entrepreneurial mindset. It is hoped that this program can be replicated in other social institutions as a model for sustainable community empowerment based on local potential and digital technology.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an urgent necessity for promoting economic independence and improving social service efficiency in Kampung Tangguh communities. However, most Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kampung Tangguh RW 27, Siantan Hulu Subdistrict, Pontianak City, lack digital business identity and presence on digital platforms, while integrated service posts still use manual recording systems. This community service program employed a Community Development (CD) approach with active community participation. The program was implemented over one month (July 7-31, 2025) and focused on three main interventions: MSME digitalization through social media training and digital branding, digitalization of integrated service post recording systems using Google Sheets, and development of community digital identity through official social media accounts. Three out of six targeted MSMEs participated in content creation training using CapCut and social media management on Instagram and TikTok. One MSME completed a rebranding with a new logo design. The integrated service post successfully transitioned from manual recording to digital spreadsheet format covering five categories: post profile, child development data, school age and adolescent data, adult data, and elderly data. Official Instagram and TikTok accounts were created for community information sharing and local product promotion.  The gradual, contextual, and humanistic digitalization approach effectively increased community awareness and readiness to utilize technology. Despite not all partners being fully involved, positive impacts were observed among active MSMEs, integrated service post cadres, and village residents. This transformation provides an important foundation for larger and more sustainable program development in local economic improvement and social service efficiency.

Abstract

This training activity aims to resolve existing problems among partners in order to support efforts to address the limited competencies of the Kapnewon Ngemplak Elementary School Teacher Learning Community in developing bilingual digital storytelling. The objectives of this training program were to: (1) introduce the concept of a bilingual approach at the elementary school level; (2) introduce the digitalization of learning media; and (3) provide assistance in the development of bilingual-based digital storytelling using the Articulate Storyline software. The community service activity was carried out through a training program provided to teachers from 27 elementary schools in Kapanewon Ngemplak, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The training was delivered in three sessions. The results of the training showed that: (1) the teachers gained an understanding of the bilingual approach concept for elementary education; (2) the teachers developed an awareness of the importance of developing digital learning media; and (3) the teachers were able to create bilingual-based digital storytelling media using Articulate Storyline software. It can be concluded that the training program has equipped teachers with the skills to integrate technology into more meaningful elementary school learning, in line with the demands of 21st-century education. Abstract

Sambak Village is recognized for its abundant agricultural output, particularly cassava. The local Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT) of Sambak Village has actively engaged in processing cassava into ready-to-consume products, which are marketed within the surrounding areas. Initially, these products were well received by consumers. However, over time, increasing competition from similar products has led to a decline in consumer interest and a subsequent decrease in income for the group. To address this challenge, a community service team proposed product diversification to enhance the competitiveness and value of cassava-based products. The solution introduced new processed products—cassava-based brownies and soft cookies—that have higher market value. The program consisted of socialization, demonstrations, and mentoring. Participants in the program consist of 20 KWT members. They received socialization on the importance of product diversification for improving household income, calculating cost of goods sold, ensuring hygiene and product safety, and applying proper packaging techniques. The demonstration phase included the preparation of both steamed and baked brownies, as well as soft cookies using cassava as the main ingredient. Mentoring sessions focused on improving packaging quality to meet consumer expectations and enhance marketability. Based on ease of preparation and participant feedback, the group decided to focus on producing baked brownies as their primary follow-up product. The training sessions were met with enthusiasm, as participants acquired new knowledge and practical skills that they were eager to implement. Their motivation was further supported by the provision of baking tools and raw materials from the community service team. This community engagement initiative is expected to have a meaningful impact on the economic empowerment of the Sambak Village KWT by increasing their capacity to produce innovative, value-added cassava products that are more competitive in the local market.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Lingga Village, Kubu Raya Regency, face challenges of low digital literacy and limited awareness of business legality, resulting in the absence of Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and restricted access to government support. To address this issue, a community service program was implemented using Service Learning, Technology Transfer, and Community Development approaches through stages of material preparation, socialization, technical assistance with the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, and evaluation. Among 15 participants, 14 (90%) successfully obtained NIBs, while understanding of business legality increased from 10% before the program to 90% afterward. These results indicate that a combined strategy of mentoring and hands-on practice effectively reduces administrative barriers and overcomes digital skill limitations. Formal business legality not only strengthens MSMEs’ credibility with consumers and financial institutions but also expands access to financing and government programs. This finding highlights the role of legality assistance as a catalyst for integrating MSMEs into the formal economy and contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 on inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Reforestation and stingless bee (Trigona sp.) cultivation efforts serve not only as a conservative activity but also as an integrative strategy in addressing global environmental challenges. Reforestation can improve air quality, maintain soil fertility, and provide a sustainable food source for bees. Conversely, stingless bees contribute significantly to maintaining ecosystem sustainability through pollination processes that directly impact biodiversity and food security. This research encourages critical thinking on how the synergy between the two can be optimized into an environmentally-based circular economy model. The evaluation shows that the program's success is determined not only by the availability of green space, but also by awareness, active community participation, and innovation in cultivation management. Thus, the integration of reforestation and stingless bee cultivation can be a transformative solution in creating a sustainable environment while sustainably improving the socio- economic well-being of communities.
