Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Islamic education supervision at MTs Swasta Ummi Lubuk Pakam, which has tended to be understood as an administrative routine rather than a means of developing teacher professionalism. The purpose of this study is to analyze internal factors such as the competence of the madrasah principal, supervisors, and teachers, as well as external factors in the form of institutional policies and resource availability that affect the effectiveness of supervision, while identifying obstacles in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method through interviews, observations, and documentation of the madrasah principal, education supervisors, and teachers. The results show that the implementation of supervision in madrasahs is still dominated by an administrative culture, time constraints, and a lack of understanding of the essence of supervision, thus failing to have a significant impact on improving teacher competence. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of transforming the paradigm of Islamic education supervision to be more oriented towards collaborative and sustainable teacher professionalism development in order to improve the quality of learning in private madrasahs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital-based madrasah leadership on teacher performance at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Palembang. The study used a correlational quantitative method with a population of all teachers and madrasah principals, involving 45 teachers and 1 madrasah principal as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression. The results show that the digital leadership of the madrasah principal is in the good to very good category, especially in terms of digital vision and technology-based communication indicators. Overall, teacher performance is classified as good, especially in digital learning planning and implementation, although teacher professional development still needs to be improved. Regression analysis showed a positive and significant influence between digital leadership and teacher performance (β = 0.62; p < 0.05), indicating that digital leadership improves learning effectiveness and teacher motivation. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of digital leadership with Islamic values, strengthening a technology-based work culture in madrasahs. These findings provide practical and theoretical contributions to the development of digital leadership in Islamic education.

Abstract

Social and technological changes in the era of globalization have shifted the orientation of education towards cognitive and technical aspects, thereby marginalizing character building, spirituality, and moral values. This situation has created an urgent need for an educational approach that can maintain the integrity of values while remaining adaptive to the times. Tarbiyah Nabawiyah, as a prophetic education model based on exemplary behavior and the instillation of values, is an important foundation for responding to these challenges. This study maps the development of literature related to Tarbiyah Nabawiyah through a bibliometric analysis of Scopus publications from 2015 to 2025. The data was analyzed using VOSviewer to identify publication trends, author networks, institutional collaborations, and major thematic clusters. The results show a significant increase in studies since 2019 with three dominant clusters: prophetic theological foundations, character-spiritual strengthening, and the integration of prophetic values in modern educational innovation. Publications are dominated by Southeast Asia and the Middle East. These findings provide a structured understanding of the direction of scientific development and have important implications for strengthening Islamic education theory and practice that is more contextual, adaptive, and based on prophetic values.

Abstract

Strengthening religious moderation in educational environments is an urgent need amid rising cases of intolerance among students. Lahei 1 Public High School, as a multicultural school, provides a strategic space to examine how Scouting extracurricular activities function as a means of shaping moderate character. This study aims to describe the implementation of religious moderation values in Scouting activities, identify the values applied, and analyze their influence on student character. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data validity is strengthened by triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that Scouting activities are an effective medium for internalizing religious moderation values, especially tolerance, anti-violence, national commitment, and accommodation of local culture. These values are evident in interfaith cooperation, peaceful conflict resolution, discipline, spirit of nationalism, and integration of local culture in Scouting activities. The implementation of these values of moderation has a positive impact on students' character, making them tolerant, empathetic, and able to live harmoniously amid diversity. These findings imply that Scouting activities can be a model for strengthening religious moderation in multicultural schools.
