Abstract

This study aims to analyze the basic teaching skills of the students of the Elementary School Teacher Education study program as follow-up material for Civics learning course. This type of research is quantitative research using survey methods. The research subjects were the students of the Elementary School Education Study Program who programmed the Civics Learning course, totaling 36 students. The research instruments used are the teacher supervision assessments which are divided into preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities, which includes the elements of the basic teaching skills namely; 1) opening the lesson, 2) material mastery 3) teaching and learning interactions, 4) language use, 5) classroom management, 6) learning evaluation, and 7) closing the lesson. Data collection procedures include students lesson preparation documents, online micro teaching practice, lecturers’ observation, and the learning assessments carried out by the students. The data analysis uses descriptive quantitative technique applying percentage analysis. The research results are divided into four categories namely; (1) very good category is in the language use skill component, (2) good category is in the opening skill component, the interaction of the learning process, and the learning closing skill, (3) the moderate category is in the class management and (4) the lack category is in the components of material mastery and learning evaluation skill.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning, implementation of the planning program for developing the independent attitude of scout members and evaluating/assessing the development of the independent attitude of standby scout members. The approach and type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data sources for this research are ES (head of the madrasah), SF (teacher), AR MS AD ED MY (coach) and DV MA AF RH (standby scout member) MIN 01 Bengkulu City. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation with data credibility testing through extended observations, member checks and triangulation. The data obtained was analyzed through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research, the process of implementing scouting activities in developing the independent attitude of alert scout members, the coach plans the development of independent attitudes through integrating attitudes within the RM and designing an attitude habituation program. Then the development of the independent attitude of the alert scout members emerged in the activities of creative work, tekpram, creating chants and persari. Assessments to determine the development of students' independent behavior use behavior assessments and behavior journals.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe Civics learning planning in developing students' disciplinary behavior; (2) implementation of a planning program for developing student disciplinary behavior; and (3) assessment of the development of student disciplinary behavior. The approach and type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data sources for this research are the deputy principal, teachers and students of SD Negeri 08 Seberang Musi. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation with data credibility testing through extended observations, member checks and negative case analysis. The data obtained was analyzed through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are that in the planning stage the teacher plans the development of disciplinary behavior through integrating behavior in the RPP and designing a behavior habituation program. At the implementation stage, the development of students' disciplinary behavior appears in activities designed in the habituation activities carried out every day, including routine activities, spontaneous activities, modeling and conditioning. In the assessment stage, the teacher assesses the development of students' disciplinary behavior using behavior development journals and student behavior observation sheets in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the creativity and student achievement on mathematics subjects building material space through the use of the Android WPS Office application helped wireless projector. This type of research is a mixed method research conducted in 2 stages. The first stage was carried out Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in 3 cycles. The second stage was carried out quasi-experimental research (average difference test). The CAR Subjects were Grade V students SD Negeri 10 Rejang Lebong with a total of 20 students while the effectiveness test stage was fifth grade students SD Negeri 02 Ujan Mas (experimental class) with a total of 20 students and SD Negeri 119 Rejang Lebong with a total of 20 students (control class). CAR results concluded that the use of the Android WPS Office application helped wireless projector can improve student creativity and achievement. The effectiveness test results can be concluded that there are significant differences between the average value of the experimental class and control posttest which proves that there is a significant increase between student learning achievement and the use of Android WPS Office applications helped wireless projector compared to conventional learning. The recommendation of this study is for the next teacher / researcher to make a creativity observation sheet based on its dimensions and be able to test the effectiveness of students' creativity in using Android applications with WPS Office helped wireless projector compared to conventional learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the proportion of basic science competencies, the proportion of cognitive levels, the quality of grade 4, 5 and 6 items on school exam questions for the 2019/2020 school year. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were students of grade VI SD Negeri 19, SD Negeri 53 and SD Negeri 59. The object of this research was the lattice of questions, questions, answer keys and answer sheets for the school exams for students of Natural Sciences subjects. The technique of collecting data and instruments in this study is documentation. The data analysis technique uses quantitative analysis techniques by calculating validation, reliability, distinguishing power, and level of difficulty. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of items per level for grade 4 has 10 total items, so if the percentage is 20%, for grade 5 the number of items is 18 items, then if the percentage is 36%, and for class 6 the number of items is 22 items if the percentage is 44%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the quality of multiple choice items in terms of material, construction, and language aspects. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the quality of multiple choice items in elementary schools in Muratara district for the 2019/2020 academic year. This research uses descriptive quantitative research. The sample used was 156. Sources of data in the study were question compilers, grade VI teachers at the Musi Rawas Utara Regency, and documentation. Analysis of multiple choice items used qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis used content validity analysis techniques according to Gregory, and matching cognitive domains. Quantitative analysis uses the help of the Anates V4 program. The results of this study indicate that multiple choice questions analyzed in terms of material, construction, and language aspects have very high categorical content validity. Based on this research, the preparation of questions should be done through the item analysis stage, especially rational logical analysis, which includes the validity of the content and the level of difficulty, so that the questions compiled can be of quality.

Abstract

This study aims to describe aspects of scientific literacy; 1) Science as the body of knowledge in the science textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI students; 2) Science as a way of investigating science textbooks for grade IV, V, and VI students; 3) Science as a way of thinking in science textbooks for grade IV, V, and VI students; 4) The interaction of science, technology, society, and the environment in the science textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI students. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects in this study were high class students. The object of this research is the textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI elementary school. The research data was calculated the average value of each expert and then the percentage was calculated according to each aspect of scientific literacy analyzed. The results of the first study show that the indicator presents the concepts of the number of occurrences of 6 with a percentage of 100%. The second aspect shows the largest number of appearances compared to books of class IV and VI. The science aspect as a way of thinking shows the largest number of occurrences compared to books of grades V and VI. the third aspect is deductive and inductive reasoning, skepticism and criticism, and various ways of understanding the natural world. The last aspect shows the largest number of appearances compared to books of class IV and V. Indicators Describe the usefulness of science and technology for society.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with a quasy experiment method. The research design was The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The population in this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 02 Rejang Lebong and grade IV students at SD Negeri 10 Rejang Lebong. The samples of this research were 30 students of class IV A SDN 02 Rejang Lebong as the experimental class and 30 students of class IV A SDN 10 Rejang Lebong as the control class. The research instrument is a written test which includes tests of fluency, flexibility, original thinking skills, elaboration of thinking skills and evaluation thinking skills. Significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of the posttest hypothesis test for the experimental and control classes using the Mann-Whitney U test, it was found that there was a difference in the effect of using different learning models on the dimensions of creative thinking abilities. Statistically, N-Gain the average value of the dimensions of creative thinking skills using PBL is much higher than learning using conventional models. Hypothesis test pretest-posttest experimental class using Paired Samples Test all dimensions of creative thinking ability obtained value t-count < t-table. It is concluded that there is an effect of the application of the PBL model on the creative thinking ability of class IV in the material of energy and motion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop learning materials for students' worksheets with a scientific approach to material force for fourth grade students. The research subjects were 22 students and one grade IV teacher at SDN 59 Bengkulu Tengah, while the research object was students' worksheets with a scientific approach. This study uses the ADDIE model development which is carried out to produce a learning product. These stages include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, the development carried out is only up to the third stage (development). The instruments used were expert validation sheets, interview guides and practicality test questionnaires. The results showed that the learning materials for students' worksheets with the scientific approach developed were very feasible and practical to be used by fourth grade students and teachers in science learning, especially force material, muscle force sub material.

Abstract

This research aims to (a) create and develop contextually based animated video learning media for learning science on Gaya material. Learning media is created by combining text, images, animation, audio and video. (b) to measure the feasibility and practicality of contextual-based learning video media. at SDN 11 Central Bengkulu. This research is research and development using the Borg and Gall model. The research object is contextual-based learning video media. The research stage includes (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) use trials, (7) product revision. The data collection technique used was a validation questionnaire from material experts, language experts and presentation experts which were analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The research subjects were 18 grade IV students at SDN Bengkulu Tengah. The results of this research are contextual-based learning video media in science learning style material with material aspect feasibility of 0.81 high validity with very feasible criteria, language aspect feasibility of 0.75 high validity with appropriate criteria, and presentation aspect 0.80 high validity with criteria worthy. Practicality with a score of 79.38 with a percentage of 79.38% meets the practicality criteria. So, contextual-based learning video media in learning science material in Gaya is feasible and practical to use.
