El-Mujtama: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat adalah jurnal ilmiah tentang program dan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sebagai bagian implementasi dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Libraries are the places where information providers and information seekers are most in demand. Libraries cannot fully meet all the needs of information seekers. To overcome this problem, libraries can collaborate between libraries or more than one library. Collaboration in the library should be planned in advance. With the collaboration of libraries to achieve the same goal, namely to find the information needs of users. There are many types of libraries and one of them is the school library. The school library was created to meet the information needs of the community in the school environment. The problem at the PMI Medan Denai Reading Park is that the collections are inadequate and the equipment is still limited, as can be seen from some visitors who are confused about finding the collections they need. In achieving the goal of a reading garden, what must be done by the manager is the procurement of collections for convenience and comfort in finding the information needed by users. This study uses a type of qualitative research, with a descriptive research approach. Descriptive research is research that seeks to describe current problem solving based on data. This type of qualitative descriptive research used in this study is intended to obtain information about the role of single parents in shaping the ethics of communication in children. This study resulted that the availability of library collections has not been able to meet the information needs of visitors at TBM PMI Medan Denai. Community Reading Centers (TBM) are facilities established for reading that offer reading material services in the form of: books, magazines, tabloids, newspapers, comics, and other multimedia materials. The Tengku Luckman Sinar community reading center has a collection of books on history, art, culture, law, novels and encyclopedias. The management of the Tengku Luckman Sinar reading garden has not been fully implemented properly. This study aims to see or know visits to children's reading interest and the use of children's reading collections at TBM Tengku Luckman Sinar which has provided a large collection of books. This study uses a qualitative research methodology that uses primary data. The results of this study are that Luckman Sinar TBM is still constrained by the problem of low funding, which is the biggest obstacle for this TBM library/facility. TBM admits that it does not have any funds, including TBM Tengku Luckman Sinar, and continues to use the funds used by TBM as personal funds. Evaluation of the library's financial strategy is a measurement and evaluation of the impact of financial measures that compare the results achieved with the goals set. Information seeking behavior refers to patterns of human behavior related to the nature of information, both in terms of using and seeking information. The term "behavior" refers to how a person obtains information through his behavior. The Kulthau literature review method is used in this paper. According to Kulthau, information seeking behavior has several characteristics, including initiation, which is the initial stage where users are aware of their information needs, selection, where users begin to collect the information topics needed and then look for them through OPAC, browse directly to shelves or by asking users. Perpustakaan adalah sebuah Lembaga yang memberikan atau menyediakan aspek layanan informasi yang utama bagi para pengguna/user. Perpustakaan tidak akan bisa berdiri sendiri tanpa adanya sebuah jaringan kerjasama yang dianut perpustakaan tersebut. Perpustakaan sebagai Lembaga informasi. Perpustakaan tidak mungkin ada perpustakaan yang lengkap dengan memiliki jutaan bahan Pustaka karena pada hakikatnya tidak ada satupun perpustakaan yang bisa memenuhi kebutuhan informasi para penggunanya tanpa terjalin kerjasama antar perpustakaan. Arti kerjasama dalam perpustakaan adalah kerjasama yang dijalin antar perpustakaan dengan bertujuan untuk menambah kualitas system perpustakaan yang disajikan dan menyediakan materi atau bahan Pustaka yang memadai untuk para pengguna perpustakaan. Dalam jalinan kerjasama perpustakaan dan informasi, konsep jaringan perpustakaan adalah hal yang tak boleh terlupakan. Jaringan perpustakaan adalah sebuah system yang menjalin hubungan antar perpustakaan yang disusun dengan sedemikian berdasarkan persjutuan yang memfokuskan komunikasi yang berlangsung untuk sumber daya informasi.

In measuring the welfare of society, we can use the Human Development Index as one of the measurement tools. However, not all aspects can be measured by human development, but at least the Human Development Index can provide an overview of the implementation of development with three basic indicators namely; quality of health, educational attainment, as well as economic level in the form of the level of buying interest in the community. on December 31, it was recorded in data from the Ministry of Home Affairs that Muslims in Indonesia reached 237.53 million. Or right at 86.95 of Indonesia's population of 273.32 million people. However, it is very unprofitable if the people of Indonesia do not become a country with a prosperous society. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the zakat fund distribution program for scholarships for students or Muslim students or Muslim women who are less fortunate at BAZNAS Pematangsiantar City. This method uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. The results of this study show that the distribution of zakat funds for underprivileged students has been running effectively, according to several benchmarks of effectiveness. Even though there are still deficiencies in channeling zakat funds, the current method carried out by the BAZNAS of Pematangsiantar City is quite right on target for students in Pematangsiantar City.
