Abstract

PT. A is a company engaged in the production and sale of paper, cardboard boxes, and other similar products in Indonesia. The products it offers include paper, tissue, packaging, and other products. The Carton Box Department, from the results of observations made, the average actual setting time on the Flexo B1 Group C machine is 47 minutes/order, this is one of the weaknesses that causes a 32-minute gap from the target set by the company which is 15 minutes/order. The research objectives are to analyze, improve, and obtain improved setting time results on the Flexo B1 Group C machine and the production process time carried out. The SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies) method is one approach that can be pursued in improving setting time. The influence of the SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies) method in optimizing the setting time of the Flexo B1 Group C machine results in a decrease in setting time with a setup duration of 49.11 minutes, normal time of 59 minutes, and standard time 66 minutes to a setup duration 25.36 minutes, normal time 27 minutes and standard time 34 minutes and the percentage obtained is 51.8%. Abstract

In the current business activities characterized by technological integration, the role of salespeople remains crucial as the frontline in enhancing product sales. Due to their contribution, it is imperative for companies to evaluate their performance. This research proposes an evaluation model for salespersons using a multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach. Two MCDM methods, namely fuzzy AHP and EDAS, are employed to determine the weight of evaluation criteria and rank 13 salespersons in a grocery store situated in an Indonesian traditional market. This study considers seven criteria: revenue (C1), honesty (C2), communication skills (C3), empathy (C4), extensive relationships (C5), work motivation (C6), and responsibility and discipline (C7). Using fuzzy AHP, criteria C2, C6, and C3 are identified as the main priority. Subsequently, the criteria weights are integrated into the EDAS calculation to rank the 13 salespersons. Salesmen SP2, SP3, and SP6 emerge as the top performers. This research provides an applicable evaluation model for decision-makers in the store, enabling them to assess their salespeople not solely based on quantitative output but also considering other criteria that may have a lasting impact. Abstract

Hikmah Jaya Garment is a company that produces various clothing equipment and apparel manufacturing. With the number of production requests that continue to increase every time as well as the application of the make-to-order system which causes an uncertain production schedule, it causes the emergence of its own work demands for workers. These conditions can affect the quality of the production results they are working on, so this study aims to analyze the mental workload experienced by employees at CV. Hikmah Jaya Garment is a reference for providing improvement solutions to increase work productivity. This research uses the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and Rating Scale Mental Effort (RSME) methods through a questionnaire containing factors or indicators of mental workload to workers. Based on the results of calculations and analysis, the average NASA-TLX score is 74.9% and the average RSME score is 83.1%, which means that the mental workload experienced by workers is in a high category with the amount of effort expended included in a large enough category. These high results cause less than optimal worker productivity so there are several recommendations for improvement in the aspects of workload indicators. Abstract

Roof tiles are roof coverings that function to protect the lower part from the heat of the sun and rain. Roof tiles are usually made from earth, either pressed or printed and from cement. Good quality roof tiles do not leak easily, are neat when arranged, have a uniform size and shape, and do not break easily or become mossy. This research aims to determine the quality of roof tiles in terms of the parameters of strength against water seepage and strength to withstand bending loads. The results of calculating the signal-to-noise ratio for the strength to withstand the bending load of roof tiles from several variations of tests that have been carried out show that the A1 factor is 49.2469. To minimize the value of water absorption strength (%), a combination of level factors is needed, including a roller diameter (A) of 250 mm, engine rpm (B) of 1000 rpm, gap between rollers (C) of 3 mm, and material mixture ratio ( D) the mixture of ingredients used is kaolin: water: clay: sand is 0.35: 0:25. 1: 0.5. The optimal combination of factor levels, for both responses, the strength to withstand bending loads and the strength to resist water seepage, have the same maximum value (A3 B1 C3 D2), so there is no need to carry out a confirmation test. From the calculation of the signal-to-noise ratio for the strength to resist water seepage, it can be seen that the coefficient that responds is coefficient A1 is -25.4842.
