Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of leadership style on well-being or psychological comfort for hotel employees during the pandemic season through human resource management practices and change management as mediation in a structural equation model (Structural Equation Modelling). The research method used a survey of 137 hotel employees in 46 star hotels in South Kalimantan. Each hotel was represented by 2 or 3 people who had worked for more than 2 years. Using multivariate analysis techniques, SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) was used to measure the relationship between variables and the model. Results showed that transformational leadership had a positive effect on employee well-being, but it will be even better if it is mediated by wise HRM practices and participatory change management. The research implication was that hotel managers must help their employees stay calm, comfortable at work and motivated at work even though they are facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Originality: This study first combined the influence of leadership variables on well-being through HRM practices and change management.

Abstract

Instagram has emerged as a vital platform for wildlife conservation campaigns, offering broad reach and visual interactivity. This study aims to map and analyse the interaction patterns, user engagement, and social structure surrounding the @save_the_malayan_tigers Instagram accounts. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach using Social Network Analysis (SNA) with NodeXL Pro. Data were collected from 500 recent posts and 100 comments per post. The findings revealed a highly centralised network with the main account acting as a dominant hub in a star-shaped network structure. Several secondary nodes from media, conservation communities, and government accounts extended the campaign to segmented audiences. However, engagement patterns remain largely one-directional, with minimal horizontal interaction. These insights provided strategic recommendations to enhance participatory communication, especially for Generation Z audiences, and emphasise the importance of influencer collaboration and interactive digital features. This study reinforced the role of SNA as a powerful tool for evaluating and improving digital conservation strategies in the social media era.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based learning at SMP 8 Satu Atap (SATAP) Tondano, particularly in core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and Indonesian Language. HOTS-based learning is essential to equip students with critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to solve complex problems in line with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. The subjects used in this study were 5 teachers. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with teachers. The results of the study indicated that teachers had made efforts to integrate HOTS elements into the learning process through the use of trigger questions, group discussions, and project-based assignments. However, the implementation still faced various obstacles, such as limited infrastructure, low student learning motivation, and a lack of teacher training in HOTS lesson planning. To overcome these challenges, teachers applied strategies such as scaffolding, the use of contextual learning media, and collaboration among teachers. This study concluded that the implementation of HOTS-based learning at SMP 8 SATAP Tondano was underway but not yet optimal, and still required strengthened institutional support and teacher capacity building.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) Ketenagakerjaan's responsibilities in protecting workers' rights at the state-owned agribusiness company, PTPN IV Panai Jaya. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with 6 informants, consisting of employees, company officials, and BPJS officers, as well as internal company observations and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis, which aims to interpret the meaning of qualitative data systematically and objectively. The results of this study indicated that the implementation of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s responsibility in protecting workers' rights at PTPN IV Panai Jaya was still not optimal, especially in reaching non-permanent workers such as casual daily workers and contract workers. Although all permanent employees had received benefits from social security programs such as JKK, JKM, JHT, and JKP, the majority of non-permanent workers had not enjoyed the same protection. This indicates a gap between formal social security coverage and functional realisation in the field. In addition, several permanent workers were also found unable to use their BPJS Ketenagakerjaan insurance because PTPN IV Panai Jaya delayed payment of BPJS contributions.

Abstract

This study aims to measure audit opinion based on the capability of the government's internal control apparatus and the maturity of the government's internal control system. The test used SEM-PLS with data obtained from 34 provinces in Indonesia during the period 2018 to 2022, with a total of 1,295 data observations. This study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type. Data was collected through secondary documentation via official reports on APIP capability evaluations, SPIP maturity, and audit opinions published by BPKP and BPK for all local governments in Indonesia. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation from the official websites of the relevant institutions. The data analysis technique used in this study was Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software. Tests were conducted on the outer model, inner model, and significance tests through resampling (bootstrapping) to determine the relationship between variables. The study found that specifically capability had a basis in consideration of giving an audit opinion that falls into the ‘weak’ category. However, the maturity of the government's internal control system had a linear basis that was classified as ‘moderate’. Thus, it is important to pay attention to the apparatus in improving the quality and capability in reducing the risk of possible irregularities and ensuring that the implementation of governance principles leads to good governance. These findings support the development of the quality of governance in government financial audit.

Abstract

The research aims to identify organic ameliorant technology for increasing rice production in tidal areas. This research used a Completely Randomized Design method with 7 treatment levels were repeated 3 times. Ameliorant technology includes: A0 (Dolomite 10 tons/ha) A1 (husk charcoal 10 tons/ha), A2 (rice straw at a dose of 10 tons/ha), A3 (cow manure at a dose of 10 tons/ha), A4 (husk charcoal 10 tons/ha + Trichoderma 600 kg/ha), A5 (rice straw 10 tons/ha + Trichoderma 600 kg/ha), and A6 (cow manure at a dose of 10 tonnes/ha + Trichoderma 600 kg/ha). The rice seeds used were the Inpari 24 variety. The results of the research showed that the Amelioran technology treatment had no significant effect on plant growth observations, namely, plant height and number of rice tillers. Treatment A3 (10 tons/ha cow manure) had the highest average plant height of 102.52 cm. Treatment A6 (cow manure 4 kg/plot + Trichoderma 240 g) had the lowest plant height, namely 89.93 cm. Treatment A1 (Charcoal husk 10 tons/ha) had the highest average number of tillers at 35.3 tillers. Treatment A6 (4 kg cow manure + 240 g Trichoderma/plot) had the lowest number of calves, namely 21.7. This was thought to be due to the framing effect, namely complex interactions between living organisms in the soil, both those in cow manure and Trichoderma. The negative framing effect that occurs is that plant growth is hampered, and some plants have stem rot, which causes some plants to wilt and die.

Abstract

Optimism is a factor that evaluates variations in the extent to which individuals expect the future to be mostly fortunate. Additionally, it has a relationship with indicators of enhanced physical and mental health. This study evaluated the optimism levels of male and female teachers in distinct education settings, focusing particular attention on factors including gender, residence, and schooling level. The Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) was utilised in the study as an instrument to evaluate teacher optimism. An equal number of teachers from primary and secondary schools, divided into gender-specific groups of 40, participated in this randomised sample study. Data were obtained using a questionnaire technique. MS Excel and GraphPad 8.0.1 were used to analyse the data. PAST edition 4.13 was utilised for creating the research's statistical figures within the context of the data evaluation process. The investigation's initial results demonstrated several notable patterns. First of all, male teachers were generally more optimistic than female teachers. Secondly, when it came to instructing in rural areas, male educators appeared more optimistic than female educators. Thirdly, male teachers were noticeably more optimistic in the field of their primary schooling. Lastly, there was a greater degree of optimism among male educators in the context of secondary school. This research would be a significant approach to promoting optimism in educational institutions and society by helping human development specialists understand how gender impacts optimism.

Abstract

This study aims to model and optimise the financial management processes of the land lot trading unit at KPRI PERGU Singosari using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Despite managing multiple business units, the cooperative continues to rely on manual, non-integrated financial systems, particularly in the land lot unit, which requires complex tracking of assets, payments, and reporting. Using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, the study analysed the existing (As-Is) processes, identified performance gaps, and proposed an improved (To-Be) model through BPMN diagrams. The results revealed significant inefficiencies in the current workflows, including redundant data entry, delayed reporting, and a high risk of human error. The proposed BPMN models offered streamlined processes with better integration, transparency, and readiness for future digital system implementation. This research provided a practical framework for cooperatives seeking to enhance financial accountability and aligns with broader goals of digital transformation in cooperative enterprises.
