The research method is experimental research. The research design used a pre-experimental of one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were XII students, totalling 26 students. The sample was 8 students using non-random sampling with quota sampling technique. The data collection instrument in this study used a career planning questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the Paired sample t-test with the consideration that this study used one independent variable. The results of the effectiveness test of this study were that this career service was effective in improving student careers in terms of career planning aspects. The level of student career advancement increased after following career information with life skills techniques. This could be seen from the understanding of students' careers before and after being given career information with life skills techniques by 23% with details: self-understanding indicators 10%, communicate and cooperate indicators 28%, improve self-performance 24%, get to know the world of social work21% and strengthened through an effectiveness test using a t-test which showed -t count (-4.894) < -t table (-2.365).

Abstract

The nutritional value of fish cereal was determined by adding toman fish extract. Fish cereal is expected to be a useful food source rich in nutrients such as carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals but rich in protein and albumin. Toman fish cereal is expected to be popular with people of all ages as a breakfast menu and can be a source of nutrition and increase endurance. The research aimed to obtain the formulation of toman fish albumin extract (Channa micropeltes) in fish cereal products as a functional food. This research was carried out in four stages: (1) preparation of fish albumin extract, (2) preparation of fish cereal; (3) Physical characteristics (hedonic test), fracture strength, and chemical characteristics (moisture content, ash content, protein content, fat content, and carbohydrate content), crude fibre content, albumin content, (4) determination of the best treatment using the Bayes method. The treatment with the addition of toman fish albumin consisted of 5 treatments with two replications. The treatment was carried out namely A1 0%, A2 30%, A3 35%, A4 40%, and A5 45%. The results showed that the highest protein content was around 4.57–13.33% and the albumin content of fish cereal was around 4.86–6.61%. This showed that fish cereal can be a functional food in increasing the immune system. Based on the Bayes test, the selected toman fish cereal formula was formula A2, namely 30% albumin extract.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the self-awareness of grade IV students; (2) to describe the cognitive learning outcomes of grade IV students; (3) to find out how much of a correlation between self-awareness and cognitive learning outcomes. The research used was correlation research with a quantitative approach. The population and samples in the study were all grade IV students. The sampling technique in this study was the saturated sampling technique. The sampling technique was saturated sampling when all members of the population are used as samples. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques by calculating the percentage of questionnaire scores obtained, the average, and correlation analysis with regression using Pearson product-moment. The results showed that (1) the results of calculating the scores of each indicator, indicator 3, namely having a mandir attitude, had a percentage of 84%, while the lowest percentage, namely indicator 1, recognized one's feelings and behaviours by 60%. The overall percentage of the student's self-awareness questionnaire score was 76.9%, which means each indicator is in a good category; (2) students' social studies cognitive learning outcomes in the average data of student scores of 70.69 were well categorized; and (3) there was a significant correlation between self-awareness and cognitive learning outcomes of social studies students with tcount = 5.012 > ttable = 2.004, a correlation coefficient value (r) of 0.56 in the sufficient category, and a determinant coefficient of 31.39%.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the optimal dosage of biochar and rice straw trichocompost for improving corn plant yield on Ultisol soil. The study was designed using a field experiment method with a Split Plot Design, consisting of two treatment factors. The first treatment factor was biochar with three levels: B0 = without biochar, B1 = 10 tons/ha, and B2 = 15 tons/ha. The second treatment factor was rice straw trichocompost with four levels: K0 = without trichocompost, K1 = 10 tons/ha, K2 = 15 tons/ha, and K3 = 20 tons/ha. The observed parameters for corn plant yield were cob length, cob diameter, dry weight of corn cobs, and dry weight of corn grains. The data collected from the observations were analyzed using an F-test at a significance level of 5%, followed by a Tukey test for further analysis. The results of the research indicated a significant effect of individual treatments of paddy straw biochar and rice straw trichocompost on corn plant yield, but there was no interaction between the treatments on corn yield in Ultisol soil. The optimal dosage of biochar for improving corn plant yield in Ultisol soil was found to be between 10 to 15 tons/ha. Meanwhile, the best dosage of rice straw trichocompost for enhancing corn plant yield in Ultisol soil was between 15 to 20 tons/ha.

Abstract

The study of subjective well-being is a very important and urgent need now and in the future especially in Islamic boarding schools as a culture of education in Indonesia. The research aimed to develop subjective well-being through the integration of murotal art in peer counselling. The research method was quasi-experimental action research, namely carrying out an initial assessment, providing treatment, and a final assessment. The research subjects were 273 male students at the Al-Mukmin Muhammadiyah Tembarak Temanggung Islamic Boarding School as the population, and 17 male students as samples based on random sampling technique with subjective well-being as the problem variable and the integration of murotal arts and peer counselling as the intervention variable. The data collection technique used closed questionnaire instruments, and then data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in the average subjective well-being score of 19.16 (15.45%) which was confirmed by understanding and changes in behaviour in self-acceptance, opening up, and networking. These findings were evidence that the integration of murotal art in peer counselling can be used to develop subjective well-being.

Abstract

Good service can be seen from the effective communication that exists between service providers and guests. A waiter becomes a very important factor in the process of communication and service. One area that is the centre of service is in the area of The Oryza Restaurant. However, it was found that there was a communication gap that led to miscommunication and erroneous information capture. Often communication gaps arise when waiters deal with foreign tourists. One of the factors causing this gap is the language skills of the waiter. This study aimed to analyze the communication gap to measure the effectiveness of service communication at The Oryza Restaurant and the quality of a waiter as a communicator. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews and observation as well as document study support. Data processing was carried out using coding techniques and data triangulation from interviews and observations. The results of the study showed that there is a gap in communication due to the language factor which causes the ineffectiveness of two indicators in effective communication, namely Content and Clarity. Then it was also found that the waiter as a communicator is capable of ethos and attitude in serving guests. With this research, it is hoped that there will be a periodic evaluation and control process for each service worker to get quality waiters who are qualified to serve and comply with company service standards.
