Abstract

Usability testing plays a pivotal role in assessing user experience on websites, providing businesses with invaluable insights into customer perspectives. Eye-tracking, a widely accepted methodology, zeroes in on visual engagement by analyzing specific Areas of Interest (AOI). This study embarked on an exploration of the impact of AOI on dwell time for the latest iteration of the Waters website and further delineated the sections that captivated the most and least user attention. Adopting a quantitative stance, a two-way ANOVA was deployed on a sample comprising 15 master’s students from two distinct academic institutions. Preliminary findings underscore significant disparities in dwell times across different AOIs, implying that specific AOIs retain user attention more robustly. Notably, the research has its constraints, encompassing potential deviations in webcam-based eye-tracking accuracy, the modest sample size, and post-hoc AOI categorization. As an extension, subsequent studies could probe the nuanced factors swaying dwell time within Waters' website AOIs, integrating methodologies such as the WSD technique and proactive AOI classification.

Abstract

The primary purpose of this study was to determine and explain the relationship between work motivation and nurses' caring behaviour. The study was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 70 nurses in the surgical inpatient department at one of the central government hospitals in Bali Province, determined by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by involving enumerators and analyzed using Kendall's Tau b test. The study results indicated a significant relationship between work motivation and nurses' caring behaviour. The higher the work motivation, the better the nurses' caring behaviour, but the relationship was not more than medium. This finding explains the importance of motivating nurses in providing nursing care. Hospital management can develop strategies that can encourage nurses' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation by considering the variables of this study.

Abstract

In the execution of an agreement, there are cases where parties are unable to fulfil their rights and obligations as agreed, resulting in a breach of contract, known as "wanprestasi" in Indonesian law. Breach of contract can be a cause for terminating the agreement, as stipulated in Article 1266 of the Civil Code (Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Perdata). The termination of an agreement due to a breach of contract has legal consequences, and the parties involved can claim their rights resulting from the cancellation, including the right to seek compensation for the losses suffered. This research aims to examine the compensation for the termination of an agreement due to a breach of contract. This research was a doctrinal law research based on a literature study. The approach method used in this research was the statute approach. In cases where an agreement is terminated due to breach of contract, the aggrieved party can file a claim for compensation, which includes costs (konsten), losses (schaden), and interest (interessen). However, the aggrieved party cannot claim compensation if the breach of contract occurred due to force majeure or unforeseen circumstances.

Abstract

MOOCs have transformed professional development, yet businesses lack data on employee adoption, hindering the optimization of digital learning initiatives. This study investigated factors influencing Saudi Arabian employees' behavioural intentions and MOOC usage across sectors. Utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, we examined how performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and behavioural intention affect MOOC adoption. Online surveys were distributed to 1036 participants from diverse industries using snowball sampling. This research employed the Partial-Least-Square-Structural-Equation-Modelling (P-L-S-S-E-M) approach in two phases. Results indicated that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and facilitating conditions significantly impact employees' MOOC intentions and usage, while social influence does not. Years of experience and sector moderate these relationships. This research provided empirical evidence and actionable insights for corporations investing in MOOCs, suggesting strategies to address employee needs across sectors and experience levels, foster a supportive organizational culture, and incentivize MOOC usage for professional development and reskilling, particularly among more experienced employees.

Abstract

Technology has the potential to improve the quality and effectiveness of education, especially in remote areas. In Pacitan Regency, East Java, the challenges include limited educational resources and a lack of teaching methods capable of accommodating the diverse needs of students. This gap may impact educational quality, particularly for students with varying levels of understanding and interest. This study aims to design and develop the DGDL (Digital Differentiated Learning) to support differentiated learning in primary and junior high schools in Pacitan. The research employed a development research method, following a systematic approach to designing, developing, and evaluating the DGDL application. The process involved requirement analysis, system design, implementation using PHP, and iterative testing. The development process involved collaboration with the Pacitan Regency Education Office and several local primary and junior high schools. The application was tested through a series of trials involving representative teachers from these schools. Feedback from 17 respondents showed an average score of 4.43 on a scale of 1 to 5, this application was evaluated based on four key aspects: functionality, usability, security, and system performance indicating a high level of appreciation for the application's benefits. This application had proven to be an innovative and relevant solution to address educational challenges in Pacitan, particularly in promoting equitable understanding and enhancing learning quality for all students. Furthermore, future development is expected to adapt the application to various dynamic field conditions and improve its effectiveness in other remote areas.

Abstract

This study aims to develop educational media based on the Health Belief Model (HBM), to analyse the effectiveness of this educational media in terms of the HBM, and to enhance family capacity. Using a modified Borg & Gall model, this study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology. The process included a needs analysis, product design, expert validation, limited testing, and subsequent adjustments. The efficacy of an educational pamphlet based on HBM in enhancing the knowledge and caregiving abilities of carers was evaluated. Purposive sampling was used to choose thirty stroke carers from Jember, Indonesia, with a minimum caregiving duration of at least one month. Pre- and post-tests, as well as HBM-based perception questionnaires, were used to gather data. Descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and thematic analysis were used for analysis. The leaflet's quality was confirmed by the high Content Validity Index (CVI = 0.88) obtained through validation by three experts. Following the intervention, the percentage of carers with low knowledge decreased from 40% to 7%, while the percentage of carers with good knowledge grew considerably from 13% to 67% (p < 0.05). Furthermore, 76.7% of participants provided positive feedback, emphasising the leaflet's utility, clarity, and simplicity. Improvements in carers' motivation, self-assurance, and comprehension of stroke care were revealed by thematic analysis. Stroke carers' knowledge and self-efficacy were both improved by the HBM-based educational pamphlet. Knowledge retention and behavioural modification were facilitated by the well-organised, understandable content and visually appealing design. These results highlight the value of empowering families to provide long-term stroke care at home by utilising theory-based, easily navigable instructional resources.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a systematic review of occupational safety practices in the agricultural sector and their impact on worker health. The agricultural sector remains one of the sectors with the highest rates of workplace accidents and exposure to hazardous chemicals, especially in developing countries. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, 21 scientific articles published in the past ten years were analyzed. The review results indicated that the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), occupational safety training, and strict regulations contribute significantly to reducing the risk of pesticide poisoning and work injuries. However, in many regions such as Indonesia, Tanzania, and Nigeria, PPE use remained low due to limited access and quality. Safety training was effective in reducing symptoms of acute poisoning, but implementation was uneven. Furthermore, chronic pesticide exposure remained a serious threat with symptoms of respiratory, neurological, and even heart disease. Studies in countries such as Iran, Colombia, and the United States showed that strong supervision and community-based education can increase risk awareness and encourage safer work behaviours. This study concluded that an integrative approach encompassing education, regulation, access to PPE, and health services was key to improving occupational safety and health in the global agricultural sector.
