Abstract

Sagittal balance refers to the equilibrium between external forces acting on the spine, particularly gravity, and the body's response to maintain an upright position with minimal muscular energy expenditure. Disruption of this balance can lead to sagittal imbalance, which is linked to poor clinical outcomes in conditions such as adult scoliosis and degenerative spondylolisthesis. The sedentary lifestyle, especially in office workers who spend significant time sitting, makes understanding spinal alignment changes in various positions crucial. This study aims to assess the differences in lumbopelvic sagittal balance in standing, upright sitting, and relaxed sitting positions in a healthy population. This analytical study used a case series approach with 25 healthy subjects aged 18-40. X-ray images were taken in three positions: standing, upright sitting, and relaxed sitting. Parameters including lumbar lordosis (LL), sacral slope (SS), pelvic tilt (PT), pelvic incidence (PI), and PI-LL mismatch were measured using RadiAnt DICOM Viewer. Data were analyzed using ANOVA to compare the sagittal balance parameters across different positions. differences were found in LL, SS, PT, and PI-LL mismatch between positions (p < 0.05). LL was highest in standing and lowest in relaxed sitting. PT increased significantly in relaxed sitting, while SS was highest in standing. PI did not show significant changes across positions. Lumbopelvic sagittal balance varies significantly between standing and sitting positions, highlighting the need to consider sitting postures in spinal assessments. These findings provide valuable insights for spine surgery planning and postural assessments.

Abstract

The rising popularity of contemporary beverages among adolescents, despite their high sugar content and low nutritional value, has raised significant public health concerns. This study investigates the key factors influencing the consumption of contemporary beverages—such as boba milk tea, cheese tea, milk coffee, and Thai tea—among secondary school students in Bandung, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative, cross-sectional descriptive method with a sample of 110 respondents aged 15–19, data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings reveal that price is the most influential factor driving consumption interest (75%), followed by packaging (71%), quality (68%), and brand (68%). Adolescents prioritize affordability and functional packaging features such as portability and spill resistance, while sensory preferences (e.g., taste, temperature, and texture) and customizable options (e.g., sugar and ice levels) enhance perceived quality. Although brand recognition contributes to purchasing decisions, it is secondary to practical and economic considerations. The study underscores the need for targeted health communication strategies and product reformulation to align adolescents' beverage preferences with healthier consumption behaviors. These insights are valuable for stakeholders in the beverage industry and public health sectors aiming to balance market demands with adolescent nutrition education.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of financial planning for university students in Indonesia who face financial challenges in pursuing their education and dreams. With low levels of financial literacy, college students need to understand personal financial management, including budgeting, saving, and finding additional sources of income. The research shows that financial education in higher education is critical to improving students' understanding of financial management and investment, which are key elements in achieving financial independence. In addition, the research also examines the financial planning challenges faced by students and workers, as well as the role of gender in investment. The findings show that university students have an initial awareness of financial planning, but are often hampered by limited resources. Meanwhile, workers, while more knowledgeable about investments, also struggle to set aside funds due to the high cost of living. Students' self-control is better than workers, who experience more pressure. Gender-based investment findings show that men tend to be more risk-taking, while women are more conservative. Motivation and financial literacy are key factors in effective financial planning. This article emphasizes the importance of better financial education to improve financial literacy among college students, so that they can manage their finances wisely and achieve their financial goals.

Abstract

Central Sulawesi is one of the former conflict areas and terrorism bases in Indonesia. The government continues to prevent the community especially the youth community from becoming radicalized. This research aims to find the right policy to prevent terrorism in the future. The data analysis technique used is Soft System Methodology (SSM). The method used is descriptive qualitative, by conducting interviews with the government, community and non-profit organizations. The research findings showed that the Integrated Action Plan program for Managing Social Conflict in the Poso Regency implemented dominated by a military sience 15 years ago but unable to prevent radicalization. A deliberative approach must be used to handle long-term radicalization, involving non-governmental actors as policy agents. The deliberative approach used the power of social capital, discussions with the citizen and involving the community in decision-making.

Abstract

Stock price fluctuations are a common phenomenon in the capital market. One of the internal factors that affect stock price fluctuations is the company's dividend distribution decision. Dividends distributed to shareholders can affect investors' perceptions of the company's value and share price. In determining the amount of dividends to be distributed, companies need to consider several factors such as leverage ratio, liquidity ratio, and profitability. The leverage ratio describes the extent to which the company uses borrowed funds. The use of high leverage can limit the company's ability to pay dividends. Conversely, low leverage provides greater financial flexibility to pay higher or consistent dividends. Leverage has a significant effect on stock price fluctuations. Companies with high leverage tend to be more risky for investors due to large interest obligations. As a result, their share prices are more volatile than companies with low leverage. In addition, high profitability indicates the company's ability to generate large profits. This allows the company to pay dividends more consistently or in large amounts. Conversely, low profitability may lead to withholding dividend payments. High profitability also supports stock price stability as it attracts investors. So it is necessary to analyse the effect of financial ratios and dividend policy on stock price volatility of food and beverage companies.

Abstract

Infotainment journalism is a form of journalistic practice that combines information and entertainment in news presentation, particularly concerning celebrity lives, the entertainment world, and light issues that attract public interest. This phenomenon reflects a shift in media orientation from educational and informative functions toward commercialization and the pursuit of ratings. This article discusses the main characteristics of infotainment journalism, its impact on journalistic integrity, and its implications for the quality of information received by the public. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study examines how mass media frame entertainment news and the extent to which journalistic values are upheld in content production. The findings show that although infotainment successfully attracts a wide audience, it often blurs the line between fact and opinion and risks compromising journalistic ethical principles.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the banking sector has brought convenience to financial transactions through mobile banking applications. However, the quality of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) is still a challenge, especially for people with low digital literacy. This service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of the community in Banten Province in using digital banking applications effectively and safely. The implementation method includes an initial survey, simulation-based training, focus group discussions (FGDs), pre-post test evaluations, and the formation of village digital communities. The participants consisted of MSME players, housewives, and students, with a total of 120 people. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in the digital literacy aspect, where the participants' understanding score rose from 52.3% to 83.7%. As many as 88% of participants were able to complete digital transactions independently after the training. The focus on digital security also increased user trust in the app. FGD findings indicated the need for improvement in application design, particularly interface navigation, icon size, and language simplification. Community-based UX/UI recommendations have been compiled and submitted to partner banks. The outputs of the activity include scientific articles, service reports, and the formation of a digital community forum for banking application users. This activity proves that an educative and participatory approach is able to answer the challenges of banking digitalization in real terms. This program is expected to become a replication model in an effort to increase digital financial inclusion based on local needs.

Abstract

Lateral condylar humerus fractures are common pediatric elbow injuries, often resulting from trauma or falls. These fractures are typically seen in children aged 6 to 10 years and require appropriate fixation to prevent complications like malunion and nonunion. This systematic review and meta-analysis compare the outcomes of K-wire pin and screw fixation methods for pediatric lateral condylar humerus fractures. Data from studies published in the last decade were analyzed, focusing on clinical outcomes such as healing time, complications (delayed union, non-union, infection, stiffness), and functional recovery. Results show no significant difference in delayed union or non-union between the two methods. However, screw fixation was associated with a higher risk of non-union and avascular necrosis, although these differences were not statistically significant. In contrast, K-wire pin fixation was linked to a significantly higher risk of infection (RR 6.53) and stiffness (RR 1.77) compared to screw fixation. No significant difference was found in lateral overgrowth, fishtail deformity, or cubitus varus. These findings suggest that while screw fixation offers greater stability, K-wire pin fixation may be more prone to complications. Clinicians should carefully consider fracture type and patient-specific factors when choosing the fixation method.
