Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has led to significant transformations across various sectors, including the legal field. One such change is the rise of electronic contracts (e-contracts), which allow business transactions to be conducted electronically without the need for the physical presence of the parties involved. E-contracts have become a vital alternative in many transactions within the digital age. This article aims to explore the validity of electronic contracts from the standpoint of civil law in Indonesia. It covers the legal framework governing electronic contracts, the requirements for their validity, and the challenges and issues encountered in their implementation in Indonesia. Through an analysis of existing legal provisions and a comparison with international practices, this article seeks to provide a clearer understanding of the legal standing of electronic contracts in Indonesia’s legal system.

Abstract

Corruption within the corporate sector, particularly in state-owned enterprises, has emerged as a significant concern in the Indonesian legal system. A notable example of this is the corruption scandal at PT. Timah, a state-owned entity in the tin mining industry. This case uncovered instances of authority misuse and budget manipulation by individuals within the company, resulting in harm to both the state and the public. The Law on Corruption Crimes serves as the primary legal framework to address such criminal activities. This article seeks to explore the implementation of this law in the case of PT. Timah and provide insights into the challenges that law enforcement may face in tackling similar cases in the future.

Abstract

This study used a qualitative type of legal research. His approach is through Normative Theological, Juridical Normative and Sociological approaches. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Data processing and analysis techniques use qualitative methods. The way the wife claims her economic rights (Mut'ah, Nafkah iddah and Nafkah Madhiyah) in divorce cases in the Biak Religious Court is cumulated in divorce cases or reconvention lawsuits are filed in talaq divorce cases. Especially for Hadhanah cases, a separate child custody lawsuit can be filed. Factors that prevent the wife from being able to prosecute her optimally in the Biak Religious Court are caused by 3 things, namely: The ability of the husband because he does not work, the wife's demands are too high because the wife's lifestyle / prestige is high and there is no evidence of letters or witnesses explaining the amount of the husband's income so that the husband's income cannot be proven by the wife. The impact of the wife's unfulfilled economic rights is that the husband's arbitrariness occurs and is very detrimental to the wife in undergoing the mass of iddah because she is burdened with the necessities of life. ?

Abstract

This research discusses heat transfer analysis in vehicle engine cooling systems, especially in radiators that use fin variations. The main objective is to compare the performance of several fin designs, including straight, zigzag, corrugated, and louvered, in terms of heat transfer efficiency and pressure loss. The research method adopted was a comparative study through secondary data collection from previous experimental results and numerical simulation (CFD). Quantitative descriptive analysis was used to compare key parameters such as inlet-outlet temperature difference (?T), heat transfer rate, and pressure drop. The study results show that the louvered and corrugated designs have the highest heat transfer rates, especially at medium to high air and fluid flow velocities. However, the improved thermal performance is accompanied by increased pressure loss, which requires adjustments to the fan and cooling pump capacity. The zigzag design offers a good compromise between cooling efficiency and increased mechanical load, while the straight fin tends to produce the lowest cooling efficiency, but with the lowest pressure loss. The practical implication of this study is the importance of considering the balance between increased cooling efficiency and the operational power requirements of the cooling system. Proper fin design selection can improve engine temperature stability, reduce the risk of overheat, and extend the life of engine components. In addition, the development of high thermal conductivity radiator materials and the production of more precise fins also determine the performance and service life of the radiator. Thus, the results of this research are expected to serve as a reference for the automotive industry in selecting and designing optimal vehicle radiators

Abstract

Work fatigue is a condition of workers who are weakened to do a job and have an impact on decreasing work productivity. Factors that trigger work fatigue include internal factors (age, gender, work position) and external factors (workload, length of work, work period, work shift and work environment). The purpose of this research was to analyze work shifts and mental workload with work fatigue in Water Treatment Plant operators at Perumdam Muara Tirta Gorontalo City using the NASA-TLX and SOFI methods. The type of research used was analytic observational with a cross-sectional research design. The research instrument used the NASA-TLX and SOFI questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Spearman’s Rank correlation test. The results of the study of work shifts of Water Treatment Plant operators using the fast rotation shift system. Mental workload was mostly in the moderate category with 20 operators (51.3%) and work fatigue was mostly in the moderate category with 26 operators (66.7%). There is a strong relationship between work shifts and work fatigue (?-value = 0.000; r = 0.653) and there is a quite strong relationship between mental workload and work fatigue (?-value = 0.008; r = 0.417). It is recommended that operators be able to adjust their working hours properly to the demands of duties and responsibilities outside of work.

Abstract

Disputes in property sale and purchase agreements between consumers and developers are increasingly prevalent and often lead to legal conflicts. Common issues include discrepancies between promotional promises and the actual condition of the property, delays in handover, and hidden construction defects that only become apparent after occupancy. This article aims to explore the legal responsibilities of developers when breaches of contract or non-performance (wanprestasi) occur in property transactions. Utilizing a normative legal approach, this study analyzes statutory regulations and relevant court decisions to assess the extent of developers’ obligations. The findings indicate that developers bear full legal responsibility for any violations of the agreement and that consumers are entitled to claim compensation through both civil law provisions and consumer protection frameworks. Strengthening the enforcement of developer accountability is crucial in ensuring fair and transparent property transactions.

Abstract

Divorce in Islamic family law does not automatically eliminate a husband's responsibilities toward his former wife and their children. One of the most critical and frequently disputed issues following divorce is the right to financial support, which includes maintenance for the former wife during her iddah period and ongoing support for the children. This article explores the legal standing, forms, and implementation of post-divorce maintenance rights within the framework of Islamic family law, with a particular focus on how these principles are applied in Indonesia. By employing a normative legal approach, the study examines the foundations laid out in the Qur'an and Hadith, relevant national regulations such as the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), and actual judicial practices in religious courts. The findings aim to provide a thorough understanding of the legal obligations related to post-divorce maintenance, emphasizing the necessity of fair treatment and legal protection for women and children. Ultimately, this article seeks to raise awareness and contribute to a more just and responsible approach to family dissolution in Islamic contexts.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamic relationship between the executive and legislative branches within Indonesia’s constitutional system. Although formally based on the principle of separation of powers, the Indonesian political landscape is characterized by interdependence, negotiation, and compromise between the President and the House of Representatives (DPR). Through a qualitative approach using literature review and document analysis, the research highlights how coalition politics, oversight mechanisms, and political conflicts shape the nature of executive-legislative relations. Findings suggest that while theoretical models advocate institutional independence, practical governance in Indonesia relies heavily on collaboration and mutual adjustment. The study also discusses the implications of this interdependence for democratic accountability, policy-making efficiency, and institutional resilience. Ultimately, it argues that strengthening democratic institutions and encouraging political dialogue are essential for maintaining effective governance in a diverse and decentralized society like Indonesia.
