Abstract

Kepuhdoko Village is a village located in Tembelang District, Jombang Regency. Data on the stunting rate in this village in 2021 is 4 children. In reducing the stunting rate, it is necessary to understand the community, especially the women of Kepuhdoko village. Prevention of stunting rates does not increase, one of which is with training activities that lead to fulfilling nutrition and increasing endurance. Training on self-care cultivation of family medicinal plants (Asmantoga) in community service was carried out. Community service activities are carried out using participatory methods for the target group, in this case, women residents of Kepuhdoko Village. Here the service executor acts as a facilitator and guide for the target group to jointly carry out the activities that have been planned. The method used is through training, demonstrating the manufacture of medicinal plant cultivation. The conclusion of community service activities, with cultivation training can increase knowledge and use of Toga for stunting prevention. Toga plants are used to increase appetite. The availability of toga plants in residents' homes can prevent stunting as early as possible and increase nutritional intake in the first 1000 days of a child's life.

Abstract

Sumberagung Megaluh Jombang Village, where the majority of the population work as farmers. The technique of cultivating catfish in buckets is still classified as a new innovation and is relatively unknown to the public. This community service activity aims to provide information on cultivation using the technique of cultivating fish in buckets, which is also called BUDIKDAMBER. This technique has advantages in land use for cultivating catfish and pokcoy vegetables using buckets and does not require large areas of land. This cultivation uses quite economical media such as used buckets, used plastic cups, a little water, and is easy to move. The activity will be carried out in October 2022. Starting with the survey stage, discussions with the community, procurement of tools and materials, training, to evaluation and monitoring of cultivation results. Conducting the Budikdamber training with PKK women in groups, the division of 30 members was divided into 5 groups so that each group had 6 PKK members, each group received 40 catfish seeds and 8 plastic cups of pakcoy horticultural vegetables. The results of the activity evaluation questionnaire showed that 27.79% of partners "agreed" and 66.67% of partners "strongly agreed" with budikdamber. Partners also become more aware of the stages in making and preparing buddhadamber. In addition, partners also understand and are interested in trying the Budikdamber technique using other types of vegetables such as pakcoy. The results of this cultivation are successfully used to meet the daily food needs of the community. Although it still requires management and greater capital in order to become an alternative livelihood, this cultivation method is sufficient to increase activity and maintain family food security

Abstract

Literacy is an important competency needed by elementary school students to understand and evaluate the information they receive, as well as to express themselves appropriately and effectively. This community service program aims to increase students' interest in reading, writing and arithmetic at SDN Gongseng Jombang. The method used in this program is the Community Education Method in the form of seminars with the aim of equipping strategic audience in increasing interest in reading, writing and arithmetic. The stages carried out in carrying out this program begin with planning, implementing the core activities of the seminar and closing with an evaluation of the implementation of activities. The audience involved in this activity were students of class VI at SDN Gongseng, totaling 38 students. In general, activities can take place very well. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the audience in attending the seminar and good responses and feedback from the audience. Based on the results of the students' questionnaire, it was obtained: (1) Literacy seminars can foster knowledge and insight into students, (2) Literacy seminars can increase students' interest in reading, writing, and arithmetic, (3) literacy seminars can motivate students to study more actively, (4) Interesting and fun way of delivering material, (5) Reading, writing and arithmetic literacy seminars can trigger the teachers to hold other literacy seminars.

Abstract

Dedication to improving the productivity and welfare of coffee farmers in Rindu Hati village by using biochar made from coffee husk waste. The aim is to coordinate and socialize coffee farmers in increasing production and soil quality in coffee plantations in Rindu Hati village. The method used in this non-profit activity is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) to share information within coffee farmer groups. Social service activities occur in Rindu Hat Village, Central Government of Bengkulu, Bengkulu Province. The target group is the Simpang Bening Farmer Group. The service was carried out through observation and field school to bio-talk coffee husk waste for members of coffee farmer groups in Rindu Hati Village, Central Bengkulu Administrative Region. The objectives of the activities carried out are to increase the understanding of Simpang Bening farmer groups about the utilization of coffee bean shell waste and the use of coffee biochar to increase production and soil fertility in the coffee plantation of Rindu Hati village.

Abstract

Desa Janti merupakana salah satu desa dari delapanbelas desa yang ada di kecamatan Mojoagung, jumlah penduduk di desa Janti sendiri mencapai 3456 jiwa. Sektor utama perekonomian penduduk Desa Janti adalah pengusaha gypsum dan anyaman, namun tidak sedikit juga yang dibidang pertanian. Sektor pertanian ini merupakan bentuk usaha untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat setempat. Serangan beberapa hama tanaman menjadi faktor penghambat dan penyebab kerugian pada hasil pertanian. Salah satu usaha petani untuk mencegah hama supaya pertumbuhan tanaman tumbuh dengan baik adalah dengan menggunakan pupuk pestisida kimia. Namun penggunaan pestisida secara berlebihan akan menimbulkan banyak dampak yang negative, tidak hanya membunuh hama dan serangga tetapi bisa membunuh hewan-hewan lainnya. Mahasiswa KKN PPM Unwaha desa Janti menawarkan kerjasama dengan kelompok tani memberikan solusi dalam pembuatan pupuk ramah lingkungan yaitu pupuk biosaka melalui pelatihan. Biosaka merupakan salah satu pilihan untuk mengurangi penggunakan pestisida kimia pada tumbuhan. Biosaka adalah inovasi baru dalam pupuk organic berbahan dasar dari larutan rerumputan atau tumbuhan sekitar yang dapat mengurangi penggunaan pestisida kimia hingga 50-90 persen, dan juga dapat membantu dan melindungi pertumbuhan tanaman dengan baik,

Abstract

Plants are grown as a beneficial organism which can be used for food, medicine, and aesthetically beautify environment around houses and big open areas. Benefits from growing plants, especially those that has positive impact on health such as medicinal herbs grown by a family and for that family, or here in Indonesia we gave them TOGA as acronym, is still not well known. Currently where the pollution is plenty; the earth climate temperature is high; and low-cost high efficiency traditional medicine is rare; the home-grown medicinal herbs or plants are greatly needed. Based on the reasoning above, we did an act to help people where we re-introduce plants that have health benefits on Mancilan village. The result of this program can be seen from the enthusiasm and spirit of innovation of PKK's members in optimizing the land around their house and making products from the results of their plant cultivation

Abstract

Corn (Zea Mays) is one of the world's most important food crops besides wheat and rice. Corn is a type of food that contains carbohydrates which can be used to replace rice. The partners for this activity are in Betek Village, Mojoagung District. Based on the analysis of the situation that emerged, the problems that need to be resolved regarding this activity plan are as follows: (1) There are still many people who do not understand innovations in processed corn products. (2) The need to increase the yield of various types of processed corn and the economy of the Betek Village Community. The objectives of community service activities in the community partnership program through socialization training on processed corn products into corn milk are as follows: (1) To increase innovation from processed corn products. (2) Teach the Betek Village farmer group (KETAN) how to make processed corn products into milk and improve the economy of the Betek Village Community. Based on the results of the questionnaire given: 75% of participants knew about corn milk, and 100% understood how to make corn milk.

Abstract

Desa Mojotrisno merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Mojoagung, Kabupaten Jombang, Jawa Timur dengan mayoritas mata pencaharian utama penduduknya adalah pengrajin dan karyawan pabrik. Desa ini termasuk pemukiman padat penduduk sehingga warga desa memiliki keterbatasan lahan untuk kegiatan pertanian. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah Ibu-ibu PKK karena PKK memiliki peran sangat penting untuk mengatasi ketahanan pangan keluarga di desa Mojotrisno. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi microgreen sebagai pengenalan bentuk budidaya sayuran urban farming. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 September 2023. Metode pelaksaan kegiatan ini adalah diskusi dan sosialisasi. Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini menghasilkan sosialiasi pelatihan pembuatan microgreen dan membuat hasil produk secara langsung yaitu microgreen sawi hijau. Dari pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan Ibu-ibu PKK menjadi pelopor budidaya microgreen di Desa Mojotrisno. Selain itu dari kegiatan ini dapat menjadi peluang bisnis yang menjanjikan karena memiliki sasaran pemasaran yang luas. Hasil post test meunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra terkait microgreens, yang awalnya awalnya 20% belum mengetahui microgreens, setelah dilakukan sosialisasi hasil kuisioner menunjukkan 100% peserta telah mengetahui microgreens.

Abstract

The rice crop yields in Daterejo Village are erratic from year to year, and farmers often suffer losses. The outbreak of brown planthoppers is one of the threats feared by rice farmers in Daterejo Village. The community service carried out aims to provide knowledge on how to detect early and control brown planthoppers in rice cultivation areas. Service activities were carried out in Daterejo Village, Mojoagung District, Jombang Regency, East Java Province. Implementation of community service activities will be carried out in September 2023. The implementation method for this community service activity uses the Participatory Action Research method. Action and participatory methods are implemented in socialization activities among farmer groups and also training in operationalizing the brown planthopper early detection tool. The community service carried out is by implementing appropriate technology for early detection of brown planthopper insect pests. This early detection tool for insect pests actually has several benefits, including knowing the population of brown planthopper pests in rice clumps. In the socialization, tools for detecting insect pests in rice clumps were explained, and the life cycle of brown planthopper pest insects on rice plants. The hope is that farmers will be able to detect it early when rice planting is taking place, so that there will be no crop failure caused by attacks by brown planthopper pests.

Abstract

Agriculture is something that cannot be separated from the lives of Indonesian people where most of the people are farmers. More specifically, the people of Tejo village are mostly farmers who make a living, therefore fertilizer is their daily companion. Most farmers in Indonesia still depend on the use of inorganic or chemical fertilizers even though excessive use of inorganic fertilizers in the long term will actually cause negative effects. The application of excessive doses of synthetic chemical fertilizers can cause environmental pollution, moreover, continuous use for a long time can cause land productivity to decrease and soil fertilizing microorganisms to decrease. One of the non-chemical fertilizers that can be used is organic fertilizer in liquid form (POC) from onion peel waste and rice washing water where the excess more quickly stimulates the growth of roots, new shoots and plant cells, repairs chlorophyll in leaves, strengthens pollen stalks in flowers, and strengthens endurance in plants. From the results of the recapitulation of the Pre-test questionnaire, 56% increased by 33% with the socialization to 86% of the results of the recapitulation of the Post-test questionnaire.
