Abstract

The condition of Pangeran Tirtayasa Road, with a PCI score of 47.04, serves as the background for this paper. This figure indicates the need for an effective maintenance strategy within a limited budget. This limited budget prompted the idea of conducting a performance-based cost optimization study by comparing maintenance alternatives using life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) and the integration of International Roughness Index (IRI) parameters for damage prediction. The method used was secondary PCI data from a survey by Muhammad Zaid (2021), processed with segment homogenization (AASHTO CDA). Two maintenance scenarios (IRI-based and PCI-based) were compared using LCCA with inflation at 2.65% and an interest rate of 4.51%. The results showed that alternative 1 (IRI-based) was more economical (Rp1.03 billion vs. Rp1.61 billion) with a service life of 35 years. This can be recommended by prioritizing routine maintenance (years 4, 6, and 8) and non-structural overlays (year 17).

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the role of mindfulness-based stress management and intelligence on employee productivity at the Bedrock Hotel Kuta. This study used primary data obtained through a questionnaire, and 67 employees were selected using a saturated sampling method. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that mindfulness had a significant positive effect on productivity, and intelligence also had a positive effect on productivity. Furthermore, stress management had a significant positive effect on productivity. Simultaneous test results indicated that mindfulness, intelligence, and stress management collectively had a significant positive effect on productivity. The coefficient of determination indicated that mindfulness, intelligence, and stress management in the regression model explained 51% of the variation in productivity, with the remainder influenced by other independent variables.

Abstract

Cosmetic products, including lipstick, are products that require coloring agents, usually in the form of lip cream preparations. One of the dangerous coloring agents circulating in the market is Rhodamine B. Rhodamine B is a dangerous synthetic dye that is carcinogenic. The purpose of this study was to identify the presence of Rhodamine B in lip creams circulating in Kudus City. The research method was carried out quantitatively because it determined the levels of Rhodamine B using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). The lip cream samples studied were 5 samples with different brands and sold at the Kudus City Cosmetics Store. Rhodamine B identification test on lip cream by observing the number of Retention Factor (Rf) values, visual stain color, and fluorescence color under UV light 254 nm and 366 nm. The identification results of the five samples tested contained two samples suspected of containing synthetic rhodamine B dye, namely samples A and E, this can be seen from the color of the spots seen visually are pink and orange, while under UV light it is purple and fluoresces yellow. For the Rf value of rhodamine B of 0.68, it is the same as sample A, while samples B, C, D, and E have a value of 0.7. The conclusion of this study is that the five lip cream samples with different brands contain Rhodamine B, namely in sample A and E.

Abstract

Gender equality and justice are still problems in society, including in the context of higher education. This research aims to reveal (a) students' views on work learning in groups of different genders; (b) gender stereotypes that arise in student teamwork; (c) efforts to minimize the development of stereotypes in the campus setting. This study uses a quantitative approach by collecting data by distributing online questionnaires (Google Form) to 102 active students from several faculties at University X in Jakarta. The questionnaire is in the form of 7 Likert scale statements with five options and two open-ended questions. The data was analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of this study showed that 93% of respondents did not object to teamwork, and 48% admitted that they often feel comfortable working in teams with the opposite sex. As many as 31% of respondents disagree and tend to be neutral on the assumption that women can be more stable and flexible than men in teamwork. Similarly, 33% of respondents agreed that men have more analytical thinking skills than women in teamwork. The results of this study show that there are still gender stereotypes among university students when working in teams. The campus can make efforts as an agent of change to socialize gender equality and continue developing team-based learning (TBL) as teamwork.

Abstract

Parijoto fruit has a variety of phytochemical compounds, such as flavonoids and phenolics, that are known to have potential as antiacne agents. This study aims to analyze the relationship between total and total phenolic flavonoid content with the antiacne activity of 70% ethanol extract and ethyl acetate parijoto fruit through chemometric analysis. This study used UV-Vis spectrophotometry to measure total flavonoid and phenolic content, with antiacne activity measured using the disc method at 20%, 30%, and 40% extract concentrations. The results showed that 70% ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts had flavonoid levels of 2.443 ± 0.029 (mgEK/mL) and 0.829 ± 0.013 (mgEK/mL), respectively, while the total phenolics were 4.622 ± 0.004 (mgEAG/mL) and 1.734 ± 0.012 (mgEAG/mL). Tests of antiacne activity against Staphylococcus aureus at concentrations of 20%, 30%, and 40% showed that 70% ethanol extract had strong activity, with consecutive inhibition zones of 11.8 ± 0.29 mm; 13.8 ± 0.29 mm; and 16.8 ± 0.76 mm. Ethyl acetate extract showed moderate activity with an inhibition zone of 7.2 ± 0.29 mm; 8.3 ± 0.58 mm; and 8.8 ± 0.29 mm. Chemometric analysis showed a positive relationship between flavonoid and phenolic content with antiacne activity, both in 70% ethanol extract and ethyl acetate. Ethanol extract of 70% parijoto fruit has higher levels of total flavonoids, total phenolics, and antiacne activity than ethyl acetate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of accounting information system (AIS) usage on the increase of business income in coffee shops in Mataram City. The background of this research is the rapid growth of coffee shops in line with the increasing coffee consumption among society, while many business owners still lack a structured financial management system. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. The sample includes 30 coffee shops that have implemented an accounting information system, selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression, and t- tests. The results show that the use of an accounting information system significantly affects the increase in business income of coffee shops in Mataram City. This is supported by a significance value of < 0.05 and a t-count value higher than the t- table. These findings indicate that accounting information systems help business owners in more accurate financial recording, effective decision-making, and better financial planning.
