Abstract

In the era of digital health, a major challenge arises regarding the spread of misinformation about disease prevention. This counseling session, themed "Cervical Cancer Outbreak Control Without Vaccines" for Indonesian National Police (Polri) personnel, civil servants (PNS), and their families, organized by Biddokkes Polda Sumbar, aims to improve health literacy through myth-and-fact-based education. The activity was conducted using interactive seminars, group discussions, and educational quizzes that encouraged active participant engagement. The results demonstrated an increase in understanding of how to distinguish between valid information and hoaxes, particularly regarding the prevention of cervical cancer without vaccines. This effort is expected to empower Polri personnel, civil servants, and their families to act as agents of change in combating health hoaxes within their environments.

Abstract

Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection. It remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly among patients admitted to intensive care units. Sepsis can progress to septic shock, characterized by persistent hypotension, impaired tissue perfusion, and multiple organ failure if not promptly recognized and treated. Early diagnosis requires comprehensive clinical assessment, laboratory evaluation, and the use of screening tools such as the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) and quick SOFA (qSOFA) scores. The management of sepsis includes early fluid resuscitation, timely administration of empiric antibiotics, source control of infection, hemodynamic support, and continuous monitoring of organ function. Numerous studies have demonstrated that early recognition and adherence to evidence-based clinical guidelines significantly reduce mortality rates and improve patient outcomes. Therefore, increasing healthcare professionals’ awareness, implementing effective sepsis protocols, and promoting a multidisciplinary approach are essential to enhancing the quality of care and patient safety in sepsis management.

Abstract

Somatoform disorder is a group of mental health disorders characterized by persistent and recurrent physical symptoms that cannot be fully explained by an underlying medical condition. This condition often causes significant psychological distress, reduced quality of life, and increased utilization of healthcare services. The management of somatoform disorder aims to reduce symptoms, improve psychosocial functioning, and help patients understand the relationship between psychological factors and physical complaints. This paper discusses various therapeutic approaches used in the treatment of somatoform disorders through a literature review of scientific publications. The findings indicate that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the most effective intervention for reducing symptom severity and health-related anxiety. In addition, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, patient education, and collaborative care involving physicians and mental health professionals have demonstrated significant benefits. Pharmacological treatment may be considered in patients with comorbid conditions such as depression or anxiety disorders. A comprehensive, patient-centered therapeutic approach has been shown to improve quality of life and reduce patients’ dependence on repeated medical examinations. Therefore, early detection and appropriate management are essential to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes in patients with somatoform disorders.

Abstract

Appendicitis is a common surgical condition in pediatric patients, with a higher prevalence in males, accounting for approximately 55–60% of cases. Although its exact etiology remains unclear, luminal obstruction caused by fecaliths, lymphoid hyperplasia, or parasitic infestation is frequently considered a contributing factor. The classic clinical presentation includes gradually worsening periumbilical abdominal pain that migrates to the right lower quadrant within 24 hours, accompanied by fever, anorexia, nausea, and vomiting. However, infants and young children may present with atypical symptoms, making diagnosis more challenging. Several clinical risk scoring systems have been developed to improve diagnostic accuracy by incorporating clinical symptoms, physical examination findings, and laboratory results. Ultrasonography is the recommended imaging modality due to its low cost and absence of radiation exposure, with reported sensitivity ranging from 72.5% to 94.8% and specificity from 95% to 99%, depending on operator experience. In preschool-aged children, acute appendicitis is associated with a higher risk of complications, including surgical site infections and intra-abdominal abscess formation. The risk of appendiceal perforation increases when diagnosis and treatment are delayed. Management includes fluid resuscitation, pain control, antibiotic therapy, and appendectomy. In cases of perforated appendicitis, percutaneous drainage may be required. Hospital readmission is most commonly related to infection, bowel obstruction, or persistent abdominal pain.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digitalization through the use of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) on omzet growth among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Mataram City. The research is motivated by the transition from cash-based to digital payment systems in response to technological advancement and the need for operational efficiency in business activities. QRIS is considered an innovation that enhances transaction efficiency, expands customer reach, and increases revenue for business actors. This research employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population consists of all MSMEs in Mataram city using QRIS, with the sample determined using the slovin formula at a 10% margin of error, resulting in 100 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a likert scale,  while data analysis included validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression analysis,t-test, and coefficient of determination (R2). The results indicate that the digital use of QRIS has a positive and significant effect on MSME omzet growth. This is supported by a t-value of 5.911, which is greater than the critical t-table value of 1.660, and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.257, meaning that 25.7% of the variation in MSME profits is explained by the QRIS usage variable, while the remaining 74.3% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, the adoption of QRIS as a digital payment tool significantly contributes to increasing MSME profits in Mataram City.

Abstract

Accurately simulating flood attenuation across heavily modified agricultural landscapes remains a major challenge in large-sample hydrology. This study evaluates a coupled distributed hydrological-hydrodynamic framework across 47 irrigated catchments to assess peak-flow reductions and temporal delays induced by distributed farm dams. Local model calibration via the L-BFGS-B algorithm yielded a mean Kling-Gupta Efficiency () of 0.1657, revealing systematic underestimation () and high runoff variability (). Scenario simulations show that antecedent storage capacity strongly controls flood mitigation; under passive operation, empty reservoirs achieved a mean Peak Discharge Reduction (PDR) of 26.227%, while full reservoirs achieved a mean PDR of 6.084%. Integrating predictive active management using Quantitative Precipitation Forecasts (QPF) maximizes flood retention, generating net temporal gains of up to +4.70 hours and extending lag times to 8.20 hours. Spatial analysis confirmed that maximum attenuation (>40%) clusters in lowland alluvial floodplains with dense reservoir networks. Abstract

This study aims to develop a climate-adaptive drainage design framework through the integration of rainfall Intensity Duration Frequency (IDF) analysis and runoff simulation. Historical rainfall data from 2000–2026 were analyzed to evaluate rainfall variability, extreme rainfall characteristics, and hydrological responses under different land-use conditions. The results indicate an average annual rainfall of 3,249 mm/year with increasing variability in recent years, suggesting a growing influence of climate variability on extreme rainfall events. Frequency analysis using the Log-Pearson Type III distribution was employed to derive design rainfall and construct IDF curves. The analysis shows that rainfall intensity increases significantly with shorter storm durations and higher return periods. Runoff simulations further reveal that urbanized areas generate substantially higher peak discharges than permeable land covers due to greater surface imperviousness. These findings highlight the importance of integrating IDF-based hydraulic design, land-use management, and green infrastructure measures to improve drainage system resilience. The proposed approach provides a practical framework for enhancing urban drainage performance under changing climatic conditions.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the industrial sectors currently experiencing growth, evidenced by the surplus of service exports in the Indonesian tourism industry. The tourism sector in Indonesia shows a positive national trend, namely cultural immersion, health and wellness tourism, and eco-tourism, the impact of which is felt by Lampung province. In line with the latest tourism trends, the Pringsewu Ranch and Resto tourist attraction has become one of the destinations that has experienced a positive impact with an increase in the number of visits. This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional experience and destination image on revisit intentions through tourist satisfaction by studying the Pringsewu Ranch and Resto tourist attraction in Pringsewu, Lampung. This study was conducted due to a research gap related to the inconsistency of the influence of destination image on revisit intentions in several previous studies, as well as the still limited research that uses the emotional aspect (emotional experience) of tourist destinations. Data collection for this study was carried out through a questionnaire survey method from 160 respondents using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM data processing tool. The results of the study indicate that emotional experience and destination image have an influence on revisit intentions both directly and indirectly through the mediating variable, namely tourist satisfaction. This research provides practical insights for the tourism industry in increasing tourist return visits by enhancing tourist satisfaction through enhanced emotional experiences and destination image.
