Abstract

Dividend policy is a crucial decision for manufacturing companies as it must balance shareholder interests with the company’s needs for future business sustainability. This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity (CR), leverage (DER), profitability (ROE), and company size (Size) on dividend policy (DPR) in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020-2024 period. This study uses is quantitative approach utilizing secondary data obtained from the annual reports of manufacturing companies published on the company’s official website and the IDX. The research sample includes 34 manufacturing companies selected using a purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used is panel data regression analysis using Eviews 12 software. The research findings indicate that liquidity (CR) and company size (Size) have a positive and significant effect on DPR, while leverage (DER) and profitability (ROE) do not affect dividend policy (DPR). Simultaneously, all independent variables have a significant effect on dividend policy. These results indicate that cash availability and company scale are the main factors for companies in predicting dividend receipts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the open unemployment rate, poverty, and the Human Development Index (HDI) on economic growth in West Nusa Tenggara Province during the 2013–2024 period. The data used are secondary time series data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The analytical method employed is multiple linear regression, preceded by classical assumption tests including multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation, and linearity. The results show that partially (t-test) and simultaneously (F-test), the variables of open unemploymeoverty, and HDI do not have a significant effect on economic growth. In terms of direction, open unemployment and poverty exhibit a positive relationship, while HDI shows a negative relationship; however, all variables are statistically insignificant. The Adjusted R-squared value of 0.108 indicates that the model explains only 10.8% of the variation in economic growth, while the remaining proportion is influenced by other factors outside the model. In conclusion, economic growth in West Nusa Tenggara Province during the study period is not significantly affected by open unemployment, poverty, and HDI. This suggests that regional economic growth is more influenced by other structural and macroeconomic factors, such as investment, government expenditure, and the dynamics of leading sectors.

Abstract

The aging process causes degenerative changes that impact the decline in physical function of the elderly, one of which is knee joint pain. Knee joint pain can inhibit the physical activity of the elderly and potentially reduce the level of independence in carrying out daily activities. This study aims to determine the relationship between the incidence of knee joint pain and the level of independence in the elderly at the Kasih Sayang Ibu Batusangkar nursing home (PSTW). The method used is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The study population was all elderly living at the Kasih Sayang Ibu Batusangkar PSTW with a sample of 52 respondents. Measurement of knee joint pain was carried out using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), while the level of independence was assessed using the Modified Barthel Index. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of a frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Fisher's Exact test. The results of this study are the majority of respondents experienced knee joint pain (82.7%) and most had a level of independence in the non-independent category (53.8%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between the incidence of knee joint pain and the level of independence in the elderly at the Kasih Sayang Ibu Batusangkar Nursing Home (PSTW) with a p value of 0.008 (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the incidence of knee joint pain and the level of independence in the elderly at the Kasih Sayang Ibu Batusangkar Nursing Home (PSTW).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the conformity of the implementation of the Wadiah Yad Dhamanah contract in the BSI Easy Wadiah product with the provisions of DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 02/DSN-MUI/IV/2000 concerning Savings Accounts. The research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method and a library research design. Data were collected from scientific journals, DSN-MUI fatwas, reports of Bank Syariah Indonesia, reports of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and various relevant literature sources. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Wadiah Yad Dhamanah contract in the BSI Easy Wadiah product is in accordance with applicable Islamic principles. The funds deposited by customers are categorized as safekeeping deposits that can be withdrawn at any time, while the bank acts as the custodian authorized to manage the funds for operational activities and Sharia-compliant financing, while guaranteeing the full return of the deposited funds. Furthermore, the mechanism for granting bonuses to customers is voluntary and not stipulated in the initial contract, thereby avoiding any element of riba (usury). The BSI Easy Wadiah product also offers various benefits, including exemption from monthly administrative fees, transaction flexibility, and a low initial deposit requirement. Nevertheless, some customers still have limited understanding of the differences between the wadiah contract and other contracts used in Islamic banking. Therefore, greater educational efforts and socialization programs are needed to strengthen public literacy regarding Islamic finance.

Abstract

This research aims to examine how student’s decisions to use digital wallets in Jambi City are influence by their perceptions of ease of use, trust, and personal financial risk. The study applies a quantitative approach, where data were collected by distributing questionnaires to student who actively use digital wallet service. Data analysis in this research was conducted using the SEM-PLS technique. The finding reveal that perceived ease of use has a positive and significant effect on the decision to adopt e-wallets, with a coefficient value of 0,396. Trust also shows a positive and significant influence with a coefficient value of 0,477. In addition, personal financial risk demonstrates a positive and significant relationship with a coefficient value of 0,125. These results suggest that although student take potential risk into account, ease of use and trust play a more decisive role in shapping their decisions to utilize e-wallet service. Futhermore, this study supports the relevance of the Technology Acceptance Model in explaining decisions regarding the use of digital wallets, where perceptions of ease of use and trust are key factors in technology adoption, while personal financial risk encourage users to be more cautions when using digital services.

Abstract

Hyperuricemia is a condition characterized by elevated serum uric acid levels, which serves as a primary risk factor for gout and is closely associated with cardiometabolic and renal disorders. Lifestyle factors, such as high-purine diets, obesity, alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, and a lack of routine health screenings, contribute significantly to the high incidence of hyperuricemia. This activity aimed to enhance the knowledge of the congregants at the Ihsan Darussalam Mosque, Aia Pacah, Padang City, regarding hyperuricemia prevention through community-based health counseling. The method employed was health counseling consisting of lectures and interactive discussions utilizing leaflets, complemented by personalized education for the participants. The results demonstrated an improvement in the participants' understanding of the definition of hyperuricemia, its risk factors, high-purine foods, as well as the importance of a healthy diet, physical activity, and routine health screenings. Community-based health counseling within a mosque environment has the potential to foster behavioral changes among congregants toward adopting a healthy lifestyle to prevent hyperuricemia and its complications.
