Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between breakfast habits and the role of parents in encouraging healthy food consumption with weight status in adolescents at MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Bangsri Jepara. This study was conducted because adolescents are vulnerable to nutritional problems due to irregular eating patterns, the habit of skipping breakfast, and lack of family support in establishing healthy eating patterns. The study used an observational analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was selected using a proportional random sampling technique. The independent variables in this study were breakfast habits and the role of parents in encouraging healthy food consumption, while the dependent variable was the adolescents' weight status. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and weight and height measurements to determine BMI/U based on WHO standards. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (64.7%) and most were 14 years old. The results of the Chi-Square test showed a significant relationship between breakfast habits and weight status in adolescents with a p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05). Furthermore, there was a significant correlation between parental involvement in encouraging healthy food consumption and weight status in adolescents, with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). The study concluded that breakfast habits and parental involvement were significantly associated with weight status in adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of endorsement and personal branding on purchasing decisions for culinary MSMEs products in Simpang IV Sipin Village, Telanaipura District, Jambi City, both partially and simultaneously. The research is grounded in the phenomenon that culinary MSMEs increasingly rely on influencer endorsement and the personal branding of business owners in digital marketing, yet not all MSME applying these strategies experience a significant increase in sales, alongside inconsistencies found in previous studies. This research employs a quantitative associative-causal approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 96 consumer respondents aged 18–35 years, selected through purposive sampling, with criteria of having purchased culinary MSME products at the research location and having been exposed to endorsement promotions on social media. The results yield the regression equation Y = 21.349 + 0.488X₁ + 0.225X₂. Partially, endorsement has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t-value 3.364 > t-table 1.986; sig. 0.001 < 0.05), while personal branding has a positive but not significant effect (t-value 1.539 < t-table 1.986; sig. 0.091 > 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (F-value 11.904 > F-table 3.094; sig. 0.001 < 0.05), with an Adjusted R Square of 0.187, or 18.7%. These findings indicate that endorsement is a more dominant factor than personal branding in driving culinary MSMEs consumers' purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus self-management refers to actions taken by an individual to independently control and manage the disease—including treatment measures and complication prevention—with the aim of reducing the incidence of vascular complications and neuropathy. This study employed a quasi-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design with a control group. A probability sampling method—specifically simple random sampling—was used to select 60 respondents. Data collection involved the use of the DSMQ questionnaire and an observation sheet. The Wilcoxon test results yielded a p-value of 0.009 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant influence of diabetes mellitus self-management on the risk of complications at the Bajoe Bone Community Health Center (Puskesmas). Self-management practices should be implemented among diabetes mellitus patients to prevent the risk of complications. Nurses need to provide education on diabetes mellitus self-management to enable patients to independently manage their condition and avoid the risk of diabetes-related complications.

Abstract

Needlestick Injury (NSI) is a major occupational risk for healthcare workers, potentially leading to the transmission of infectious diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV. Neonatal nurses are at high risk due to the frequent use of sharp instruments in clinical procedures. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of occupational safety training and the use of safe needles in reducing NSI rates. The method used was a literature review with the PRISMA approach. Articles were searched in the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases for the years 2014–2024. A total of 15 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that occupational safety training increased nurses' knowledge and compliance by 20–45% and reduced the incidence of NSI by 15–35%. The use of safety needles had a more significant impact, with a reduction of 30–60%. The combination of the two interventions resulted in the most optimal reduction of up to 65–80%. Thus, the implementation of continuous occupational safety training and the simultaneous use of safety needles are effective in reducing NSI rates.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of public health services in Indonesia through the synergy of the National Health Insurance program (JKN) administered by BPJS Kesehatan and community health centers (Puskesmas). Using a descriptive-analytical literature review approach, this article analyzes four key dimensions: service accessibility, facility distribution, healthcare workforce equity, and financing fairness. The findings indicate that the integration of BPJS Kesehatan and Puskesmas within the JKN framework has significantly expanded healthcare coverage and increased community visits to health facilities. However, drawing on Julian Tudor Hart’s Equity in Health Service theory (1971), also known as the Inverse Care Law, this study identifies persistent inequities in healthcare access, particularly in remote and underserved areas where infrastructure limitations and healthcare workforce shortages remain critical challenges. Digital innovations such as the Mobile JKN application, SIMPUS, and SATUSEHAT have broadened access by reducing barriers of time and distance, yet the digital divide risks creating new forms of inequity. Furthermore, low compliance with insurance premiums among informal sector workers threatens the sustainability of the gotong royong financing principle. This study concludes that while BPJS-Puskesmas synergy has advanced universal health coverage, strategic policy interventions are urgently needed to achieve substantive equity in health service quality and accessibility across Indonesia.

Abstract

Waste management is essential for maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The village of Saguling has enacted Village Regulation No. 9 of 2024 on Waste Management. However, in its implementation, the Saguling Village Government has faced obstacles such as a lack of budget and land for the construction of a temporary waste disposal site, as well as low public awareness regarding waste management. This study aims to analyze the extent to which the implementation of Village Regulation No. 9 of 2024 on Waste Management in Saguling Village has been carried out. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, employing data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and documentation, followed by data analysis techniques including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the implementation of Village Regulation No. 9 of 2024 on Waste Management in Saguling Village has not yet been optimal. This is evident from the numerous indicators that remain suboptimal and technically hinder the Village Government in implementing waste management policies in Saguling Village. Despite facing obstacles in its implementation, the Saguling Village Government continues to work toward the successful implementation of waste management through public appeals, outreach, and engagement with the community.
