Abstract

Since it first appeared at the end of 2019, the Novel coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) was officially declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11, 2020 and WHO urges the government to oblige its people to implement protective behavior to prevent transmission and the spread of COVID-19. Before making an action, humans tend to perceive something as good or positive perceptions or negative perceptions that will influence their actions and based on the Health Belief Model (HBM), people will change their behavior if they understand that the disease is serious, otherwise they may not switch to behavior which is healthy. Methods: This type of research is a correlative analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. The affordable population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Arga Makmur Bengkulu Utara with 267 samples. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage and bivariate analysis using the kruskall-wallis test and data processing using a computerized SPSS version 25.0 program. The most respondents were female, namely 178 people (66.7%), the most respondents with a sufficient perception of vulnerability were 194 people (72.7%), the most respondents with a good perception of severity were 147 people (55.1% ), the most respondents with a good perceived benefit were 217 people (81.3%), the most respondents with a sufficient perception of obstacles were 212 people (79.4%), the most respondents with a good perception of cues were 227 people (85.0 %), and the most respondents with a good self-efficacy perception were 231 people (86.5%), the most respondents had a good attitude, namely 166 people (62.2%), there was a relationship between perceptions of vulnerability of students of SMA Negeri 1 Arga Makmur to attitudes. prevention of COVID-19 (p = 0,000), there is no relationship between the perception of severity of SMA Negeri 1 Arga Makmur students on attitudes to prevention of COVID-19 (p = 0.077), there is a relationship between perceived benefits of students of SMA Negeri 1 Arga Makmur on attitudes towards preventing COVID-19 (p = 0.012), there is a relationship the perception of barriers of SMA Negeri 1 Arga Makmur students towards attitudes towards prevention of COVID-19 (p = 0,000), there is a correlation between the perception of cues of SMA Negeri 1 Arga Makmur students on attitudes to prevention of COVID-19 (p = 0,000) and there is a correlation between the perception of self-efficacy of high school students Negeri 1 Arga Makmur on the attitude of preventing COVID-19 (p = 0,000). There is a relationship between perceptions of vulnerability, perception of barriers, perception of cues, perceived benefits and perceptions of self-efficacy and there is no relationship between perceptions of severity of SMA Negeri 1 Arga Makmur students on attitudes to prevention of COVID-19.

Abstract

Seborrheic keratosis is a benign skin tumor that originates from the proliferation of the epidermis and the buildup of keratin on the surface of the skin. Factors that cause include age, sun exposure, and infection. Various indications for removal of the lesion include signs of malignancy, irritation with inflammation and especially for cosmetic purposes in patients with multiple lesions. KS cases are increasing overseas and quite high reported in several hospitals in Indonesia. This research to know and identify the profile of seboroik keratosis patients at Dr.M. Djamil Padang Hospital in 2016-2019. This type of research is descriptive. With cross-sectional study design. The affordable population in this study was patients diagnosed with seboroik keratosis who were treated at Dr.M. Djamil Padang Hospital in 2016-2019 with 80 samples in total sampling. Research variables consist of age, gender, main complaint, location of lesions. The most research found were ages 41-65 years, namely 37 people (46.3%), female sex of 54 people (67.5%), the main complaint of lesions increased by 22 people (38.8), 2 or more locations lesions were 33 people (41.2%) and surgical therapy of 43 people (53.7%). Seboroik keratosis patients at Dr.M. Djamil Padang Hospital in 2016-2019 most age 41-65 years, female sex, main complaints of increased lesions, 2 or more locations lesions and surgical therapy.

Abstract

Cigarettes are a product that contains addictive substances, which when used can cause dangerous impacts on the health of individuals and society. With the rapid development of technology, currently a new style has emerged for smokers, namely electronic cigarettes. The substance that has the strongest addictive effect is nicotine. This addictive effect of nicotine is usually called Nicotine Dependence. Nicotine dependence or nicotine dependence is a condition where a person involves physical and psychological factors that make it difficult to stop using nicotine. Most of the largest use of electronic cigarettes is among young people of productive age, which if equated to students. This study aims to determine the level of nicotine dependence on electronic cigarettes among Baiturrahmah University medical faculty students. This research uses descriptive analysis with a cross-sectional method using primary data with a sample size of 56 respondents. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of a frequency distribution. The results of the study showed that the majority of students at the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University were smokers with a median age of 21 years, the majority were male (91.1%), started smoking electronically at the age of ≥16 years (91.1%), due to the influence of friends (66.1%), and with an economic level described by income/pocket money > 1 – 2 million (37.5%). The level of nicotine dependence was mostly in the moderate category as many as 30 people (53.6%). The level of nicotine dependence as measured by the Fagerstrom Test in University Medical Faculty students is in the moderate category.

Abstract

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is defined as a symptom or mucosal damage produced by abnormal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus or beyond, into the oral cavity (including the larynx) or the lungs. Risk factors for GERD include: age, gender, smoking history and others. Symptoms of GERD are divided into 3 groups, typical symptoms, atypical symptoms and extraesophageal symptoms. Knowing the profile of GERD patients at the Siti Rahmah Islamic Hospital in Padang for the 2017-2018 period. This study uses descriptive research using secondary data derived from the patient's medical record. Performed at the medical record section of RSI Siti Rahmah Padang. When the research was conducted from January - March 2021, the population reached was 96 with a total random sampling technique. The highest age is over 50 years, namely 67 people (69,8%). Male, namely 61 people (63.5%). Typical symptoms were 68 people (70.8%). History of smoking is 54 people (56.2%). The highest GERD patients is over 50 years old with male sex, the most symptoms are typical symptoms and a history of smokings.

Abstract

Exclusive breast milk (ASI) is breastfeeding as early as possible after delivery which is given without a schedule and is not given any other additional food or drinks until the age of 6 months. The success of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by many factors, both internal and external. . Internal factors include mother's age, nutritional status, and education level, while external factors are knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, health workers and the mass media. To find out the description of the knowledge and attitudes of breastfeeding mothers towards correct breastfeeding techniques in the Working Area of the Air Cold Health Center. The scope of this research is breastfeeding mothers who have children aged 0-24 months. The research was conducted in December- January 2022. The type of research is descriptive. The study population was breastfeeding mothers who had children aged 0-24 months with a total of 200 samples using the consecutive sampling technique. Univariate data analysis was presented in the form of a frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Kruskall-Wallis test, data processing using the computerized SPSS program IBM version 25.0. Research shows that mother's knowledge is 73% high and mother's attitude is 86.5%. These results indicate that the majority of breastfeeding mothers in the Air Cold Health Center Work Area have high knowledge and a positive attitude.

Abstract

The incidence rate of COVID-19 in Indonesia that still high, especially in medical school students at Baiturrahmah University Batch 2020 who registered few students infected by COVID-19, then need to do further research about the image of knowledge, manner, and behavior toward the covid-19 prevention so that it could give the education about procedures of preventing the spread of COVID-19, especially on the society particularly for students of Baiturrahmah University. This research to find out the image of knowledge, manner, and behavior level toward the covid-19 prevention in medical school students at Baiturrahmah University Batch 2020. This research's scope is the combination of virology, pulmonary disease science, and public health science. The research is held from March 2021 until January 2022. The type of this research is categorical descriptive. This research's accessible population is medical school students at Baiturrahmah University Batch 2020, with as many as 96 samples with simple random sampling technique. The univariate data analysis is displayed in frequency distribution and data processing using the computerized program SPSS version IBM 25.0. The most gender is female, which is 67 people (69,8%), most knowledge levels are good, which is 49 people (51,0%), most manners are good, which is 84 people (87,5%), and most behaviors are good which is 69 people (71,9%). The most gender is female with most knowledge levels are good, most manners are good, and most behaviors are good.

Abstract

Dyspepsia is a complaints of complaints or a collection of symptoms (syndromes) consisting of pain or discomfort in the epigastrium, nausea, vomiting, bloating, rapid pain, full stomach, and belching. One of the causes of dyspepsia, due to dietary factors caused by irregular eating patterns. This research to regulate the diet with the occurrence of dyspeptic syndrome in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University class of 2018. The type of this research is a correlative analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were students of the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University class of 2018 with 130 samples of total sampling technique. Data analysis using Chi Square test. There were 85 respondents (65.4%) who experienced dyspepsia, as many as 106 people (81.5%) who ate well, 109 (83.8%) rarely consumed spicy food, 119 people (91.5%) rarely consume acidic foods, and 123 people (94%) rarely consume irritating (carbonated) drinks. There is no relationship between eating frequency and the incidence of dyspeptic syndrome with a value of p = 0.261, there is no relationship between types of spicy, acidic or irritating (carbonated) drinks with p value = 0.254. There is no relationship between dyspepsia syndrome and diet among students of the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University class of 2018.

Abstract

Dyspepsia syndrome is a series of symptoms such as nausea, regurgitate, bloating, feeling full quickly, stomach feeling full, burping, and pain or discomfort in the epigastrium. Dyspepsia syndrome can becaused by many factors including psychological interference such as anxiety. Examination on dyspepsia patient where no organic cause were found can be caused by psychological problems, which, if this is not being drilled appropriately can lead the disease to be recurred. This research to determine the relation of anxiety and dyspepsia syndrome on health worker at RSU-C BMC Padang. The type of research used is analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The affordable population in this study were all health workers at RSU-C BMC Padang pandemic with 60 samples using simple random sampling. Univariate and bivariate data analysis is presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage and data processing using the computerized Statistic program. The highest degree of anxiety was minimal anxiety with 25 people (41.7%), the most age characteristic was 21-55 years old, namely 58 people (96,7%), the most gender characteristic was female, namely 50 people (83.3%), the most occupation was nurse, namely 49 people (81.7%), total respondent with family history suffered from dyspepsia syndrome namely 46 people (76.7%), there is a relationship between anxiety and dyspepsia syndrome based on chi-square test, the p value was 0.000 and kruskal wallis test with p value of 0.001. The highest degree of anxiety is minimal anxiety, aged 21-55 years old, female, working as a nurse, having the family history with dyspepsia syndrome, and there is a relationship between anxiety and dyspepsia syndrome.

Abstract

The situation of pulmonary tuberculosis in the world is getting worse, the number of pulmonary TB cases is getting out of control with the number of TB patients who have not been successfully cured. To overcome and control the problem of TB disease it is recommended to use the DOTS (Direcly Observed Treatment Shortcourse) strategy. DOTS or treatment with direct observation. Patient discovery and healing is a major focus of the DOTS strategy. One of the important targets that must be achieved in TB control is to cure 85% of infectious TB cases in the community. Objective: To determine the profile of medication adherence in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at RST Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang. The scope of this research is research covering the field of pulmonary disease. This research was conducted at RST Dr. Lung Poli. Reksodiwiryo Padang. The research used in this research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional design. The population was all pulmonary TB patients who were treated at the pulmonary clinic at RST Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang in 2019 with 67 samples. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage and data processing using the computerized SPSS program. The most were 46-55 years old, namely 14 people (20.9%), the most respondents were male, namely 37 people (55.2%), the most respondents with non-school education were 37 people (55 , 2%), the most respondents were civil servants / private workers, namely 23 people (34.3%) and the most respondents with adherence to taking medication obediently, namely 52 people (77.6%). The most age of pulmonary TB patients is 46-55 years, the most sex is experienced by men, the most education is not going to school, the most occupations are civil servants / private companies and the most obedient to taking medication.

Abstract

Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS) is a legal entity established to organize social security programs. BPJS collaborates with hospitals in order to improve service quality and health service quality. One of the hospitals that have collaborated with BPJS is RSI Siti Rahmah, which is located in Air Pacah Village, Padang. Termination of cooperation between BPJS and RSI Siti Rahmah at the end of 2019 will have an impact on the continuity of BPJS participants in Air Pacah village.The purpose of this study was to determine the views of BPJS participants in Air Pacah Village on the stop of BPJS services at RSI Siti Rahmah in 2020. The method used in this study was descriptive observation through open interviews without any intervention to the respondents. There were 10 respondents involved in this study who were BPJS participants and resisded in Air Pacah sub-district. BPJS participants in Air Pacah sub-district were disappointed with the discontinuation of BPJS services at RSI Siti Rahmah. The respondents had to find another hospital with BPJS services that farther that before. As conclusion the people are disappointed and need the nearest health facility for treatment.
