Abstract

Proyek pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini menerapkan SiEntong (Sistem Entitas Tong Sampah Pintar Otomatis dan Monitoring Isi Kapasitas Tong Sampah) di SMA BPI 1 Bandung sebagai media edukasi STEM dan manajemen kebersihan proaktif. SiEntong dikembangkan menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 dan sensor ultrasonic, dengan data kapasitas sampah ditampilkan secara real-time pada dashboard web. Metode melibatkan pengembangan sistem, implementasi dan evaluasi kualitatif melalui observasi dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa sistem SiEntong berfungsi optimal dan efektif meningkatkan pemahaman praktis peserta mengenai konsep IoT. Umpan balik positif diterima terkait efisiensi dan manfaat sistem. Namun, teridentifikasi risiko pengguna awam membuka tutup sampah secara manual karena ketidaktahuan. Keberhasilan edukasi tercapai, tetapi keberlanjutan sistem sangat bergantung pada mitigasi risiko user-centric design dan sosialisasi berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pengelolaan homestay berstandar menjadi salah satu elemen penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan daya tarik destinasi wisata, khususnya pada kawasan wisata yang dikunjungi wisatawan mancanegara. Lampung Timur, sebagai wilayah penyangga Taman Nasional Way Kambas, memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan homestay; namun sebagian besar pengelola belum menerapkan standar layanan, kebersihan, keamanan, dan pengelolaan usaha sesuai standar ASEAN. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan standarisasi homestay berbasis ASEAN dilakukan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pengelola homestay di Desa Labuhan Ratu IX. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pelatihan partisipatif yang meliputi observasi, pemaparan materi, diskusi, pendampingan, serta pemberian fasilitas pendukung operasional. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran pengelola terhadap pentingnya standar ASEAN, meskipun implementasinya masih menghadapi hambatan seperti keterbatasan fasilitas, belum adanya SOP tertulis, dan pengelolaan administrasi yang belum sistematis. Pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kualitas layanan homestay dan diharapkan mampu mendukung daya saing wisata Lampung Timur.

Abstract

The growing trend toward healthy lifestyles has increasingly driven demand for culinary products that are hygienic, nutritious, and practical. This condition creates opportunities for healthy culinary MSMEs to develop, including Bekal Sehatkoe, which operates in Talun District. Business legality, such as the Business Identification Number (NIB), Home Industry Food Production Permit (PIRT), and halal certification, constitute essential requirements for enhancing public trust. This community service program aims to strengthen the administrative capacity of Bekal Sehatkoe through structured and practical assistance in business legalization. The community engagement method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which integrates needs identification, legal training, implementation assistance, and outcome evaluation. The results show that Bekal Sehatkoe successfully obtained an NIB as a basic operational license, gained an understanding of the stages and requirements for PIRT, and subsequently acquired halal certification. The impact of this assistance is reflected in the partner's increased readiness to develop the business professionally and to ensure long-term business sustainability.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an infection that affects the upper and lower respiratory tracts and is commonly caused by viruses or bacteria. This infection frequently occurs in children. One preventive approach to ARI is the implementation of a healthy lifestyle based on herbal practices through the utilization of medicinal plants. The purpose of this community service activity was to improve participants’ knowledge and understanding of ARI and its prevention using medicinal plants at Sentosa Orphanage, Banjarmasin. The activity was conducted through interactive counseling sessions, pre-test and post-test assessments, and question-and-answer discussions. The participants consisted of 30 children from Sentosa Orphanage, Banjarmasin. The activity was carried out smoothly and successfully, with participants showing high enthusiasm and active engagement throughout the program. The results of the pre-test and post-test indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of herbal-based healthy lifestyle practices that can be applied for the prevention of ARI

Abstract

Strengthening youth leadership is a strategic aspect of urban community development in addressing complex and dynamic social challenges. However, youth potential is often not optimally developed due to the absence of a systematic and sustainable idea development platform. This community service program aims to strengthen youth leadership and creativity through the establishment of the Camp GenLead Creative Lab as a Design Thinking–based idea incubator. The partner of this program was a youth organization operating in an urban community context. The implementation method applied a participatory approach through five stages of Design Thinking, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were collected through field observations, focus group discussions, documentation, and pre–post activity evaluations. The results indicate a significant improvement in youth competencies, with the average score increasing from 2.8 to 3.7 on a four-point scale. In addition, the program produced several social innovation prototypes and successfully formed a sustainable youth idea incubation platform. These findings demonstrate that a Design Thinking–based idea incubator plays an important role in strengthening youth leadership and fostering sustainable social innovation in urban communities.

Abstract

Acupressure is a complementary non-pharmacological therapy that has the potential to be applied as a preventive and promotive health approach at the family and community levels. However, public knowledge and skills related to the proper and safe application of acupressure remain limited. This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge, skills, and awareness regarding self-acupressure techniques for maintaining family health. The activity was conducted in Randubener Village, Lamongan Regency, through collaboration between the Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Study Program of Universitas Katolik Darma Cendika and the Traditional Medicine Study Program of Universitas Airlangga. The methods used included interactive lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. A total of 60 participants took part in the program. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge after the intervention, with the mean score rising from 5.4 in the pre-test to 8.9 in the post-test. Participants were able to identify basic acupressure points and apply simple acupressure techniques independently. In conclusion, the acupressure training program was effective in enhancing community knowledge and skills and contributed to strengthening community independence in preventive and promotive family health efforts.

Abstract

The transformation toward Industry 4.0 requires manufacturing companies to adopt technologies capable of ensuring operational stability and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the implementation of smart manufacturing technology at PT Amerta Indah Otsuka and its impact on the continuity of the isotonic drink production process. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including direct observation at the production facility and literature studies related to automation systems. The research focuses on the integration of automated production machinery, the use of real-time quality monitoring sensors, and robotic packaging systems that minimize human intervention. The results indicate that the use of smart manufacturing technology enables the company to achieve high production efficiency, reduce the risk of human error, and ensure that product sterility standards are consistently maintained. Production continuity is supported by programmed machine maintenance systems and digitally integrated production line monitoring. This study concludes that investment in automation technology not only increases output capacity but also serves as a crucial strategy in maintaining the company's operational resilience amidst the dynamics of the FMCG industry.

Abstract

Tantangan yang dihadapi dunia pendidikan tinggi saat ini adalah adanya kesenjangan antara teori akademik yang diperoleh mahasiswa dan keterampilan praktis yang dibutuhkan di dunia kerja. Untuk menjembatani kesenjangan tersebut, Polindo Internasional melaksanakan kegiatan kunjungan industri berbasis mini riset ke perusahaan di Kota Pasuruan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman nyata melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara mendalam dengan pihak perusahaan mengenai manajemen operasional, proses produksi, pengendalian kualitas, dan strategi distribusi. Mahasiswa dibagi dalam kelompok dan menyusun laporan hasil kunjungan yang kemudianndidiskusikan bersama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap praktik manajerial serta penguatan keterampilan analitis, komunikasi, dan kerja sama tim. Evaluasi melalui kuisioner dan testimoni peserta menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi dunia kerja. Abstract

This community service activity aims to encourage digital transformation among ornamental plant farmers in Cihideung Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency, who have faced challenges in online marketing and digital literacy. The program is implemented through a partnership between the university, the Cihideung Village Government, and the Ornamental Plant Farmers Cooperative. Implementation methods include administrative coordination, focus group discussions (FGDs) to identify needs, development of the Astuti Flower Parongpong marketplace website, digital marketing training, and integration of a QRIS-based digital payment system. The results of the activity indicate an increase in farmers' ability to use digital platforms, manage product catalogs, and utilize social media for promotion. Quarterly evaluations noted an increase in online transactions and an expansion of market reach beyond the region. Key success factors were collaboration between parties and institutional support, while the main obstacles included limited infrastructure and consistent website management. This program serves as a pilot model for the development of an agriculture-based creative economy in the West Bandung region. Going forward, ongoing collaboration is expected to expand export access and strengthen the digital independence of Cihideung ornamental plant farmers.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi kewirausahaan ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Isola melalui pelatihan usaha mandiri berbasis inovasi produk kuliner. Produk yang dikembangkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah Gohyong Rice Bowl dan Buko Mango yang dinilai memiliki potensi pasar, mudah diproduksi, serta sesuai untuk usaha skala rumah tangga. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan dilakukan melalui penyampaian materi kewirausahaan, demonstrasi dan praktik langsung pengolahan produk, teknik pengemasan, serta strategi pemasaran sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep kewirausahaan, keterampilan produksi dan pengemasan produk, serta munculnya ide usaha baru yang kreatif dan aplikatif. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan motivasi ibu-ibu PKK untuk memulai usaha mandiri sebagai upaya pemberdayaan ekonomi keluarga. Dengan demikian, pelatihan kewirausahaan berbasis inovasi produk kuliner ini berkontribusi positif dalam mendorong kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat dan berpotensi untuk dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan
