Abstract

The partner in this PKM is Paloh Punti Village, Muara Satu, Lhokseumawe City. Paloh Punti Village is one of the villages in the Unimal Campus area which is 3 km from the Bukit Indah Campus. In general, the jobs of the people in Paloh Punti village are farmers and livestock breeders. Almost 80% of plantation land in this village is planted with coconut trees. Selling coconut plantation products is one of the main sources of income for the people of Paloh Punti village. So far, the selling value of coconuts in the Paloh Punti area is relatively low, ranging from 1,800 to 2,000 rupiah. This low selling value is due to the coconut plantation owners selling their produce intact, known in the community as round coconuts. To increase the selling value of these coconuts, the Community Service is trying to offer assistance in making a Coconut Skin Peeling Machine which will later be donated to the Paloh Punti Village Community under the coordination of the Village Leadership. This service will be carried out in stages, starting with counseling, introduction to peeling tools/machines, testing the tools, evaluating the economic value and handing over the coconut peeling machine to the village leadership. Counseling and training on the use of this tool begins with designing a tool using the ATM method (Observe, Imitate and Modify) from pre-existing types of equipment and adapt it to the needs of supporting machines.

Abstract

In an effort to maintain and improve the quality of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates and reduce misses from the demands of the industrial world and technological advances, the government has tried to implement various policies both in terms of quantity and quality. The activities of students in an effort to increase skill competence are through Field Work Practice (PKL) activities that involve the world of work directly. But in fact, according to nationwide data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in February 2023, unemployment for vocational school graduates reached 9.6%, which is the largest of the overall levels of education in Indonesia. This literature review provides a summary of the results of the PKL program evaluation by applying the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) evaluation model. The results of this study prove that the program is running in accordance with the objectives with good output. However, there needs to be careful preparation and seriousness from schools and learners.

Abstract

The benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have expanded significantly in the field of education, aiding in filling gaps and enhancing teacher efficiency in the teaching and learning process to achieve educational goals. The utilization of ICT by educational institutions, particularly teachers, encompasses various aspects, one of which is facilitating the assessment or evaluation of students' cognitive domains. This study focuses on the utilization of ICT as an instrument in assessing the cognitive domains of students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) classes. The research methodology employed is field research with a qualitative approach. In conducting qualitative analysis, this study utilizes a taxonomy-based analysis model that focuses on the domain and a single common characteristic. The model analyzes interview results with respondents, along with observations and field documentation. Data collection techniques involve interviews, observations, and documentation. The research findings indicate that PAI teachers at SD Negeri 01 Windurojo have implemented three cognitive domain assessment techniques during online learning, namely written tests, oral tests, and assignments. In their assessment processes, teachers make use of various ICT platforms such as Google Form, WhatsApp, and Google Meet.

The demands of the current era encourage the world of education to become more innovative. Implementing an independent curriculum is one form of implementation and answer to these challenges. However, the use of the merdeka curriculum that occurred in 2021 invited many types of opinions, one of which was from students. The research results show that students' enthusiasm for learning in arts and culture subjects varies, influenced by internal and external factors such as art experience, views on the relevance of the subject, and teachers' teaching methods. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum provides new opportunities for arts and culture learning experiences, but also gives rise to diverse opinions about its relevance in the modern era. The role of teachers as facilitators in developing students' interests and talents is recognized as important, but the Pancasila Student Profile program also raises questions about the relevance of arts and culture subjects. In conclusion, students' opinions about arts and culture subjects in the Independent Curriculum are influenced by various factors, and this understanding can make an important contribution to future curriculum development.

Abstract

The process of harvesting stingless bee honey requires special tools, the use of vacuum pumps as a harvesting medium makes it easier for farmers, saves time, and maintains honey quality. The purpose of this service is to provide training to the community on how to use a honey harvesting tool with a vacuum pump with a capacity of 7 liters/minute, the assembly process and maintenance. From the results of the service that has been carried out for beekeepers in Pulo Meria Village, it is found that the honey suction tool from the Vacuum pump is very useful for farmers, easy to use, production capacity of 1 liter per hour and portable. The difference in the amount of capacity is due to the different honey harvesting process due to having different sized honey bags and different honeycomb contours. From the empowerment of the honey farming community, it was found that 89% of the farmers got better quality honey harvests and increased honey production by 57% more.
