Abstract

This research aims to compare the learning outcomes of Qur'an Hadith among three cooperative learning models, TGT, Peer Tutoring, and STAD, based on students' school backgrounds. This quantitative study used a comparative method to analyze data with SPSS 27 and the Two Way ANOVA test. The results revealed significant differences in Qur'an Hadith learning outcomes between students using the TGT model and those using Peer Tutoring, as well as between TGT and STAD (Sig.2-tailed < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference in learning outcomes between Peer Tutoring and STAD (Sig.2-tailed > 0.05). There was also no significant difference based on students' school backgrounds (SD, MI) (Sig. > 0.05). Furthermore, there was no interaction between the Learning Model and School Background in determining students' Qur'an Hadith learning outcomes (Sig. > 0.05). Overall, TGT proved to be the most effective teaching model in enhancing students' Qur'an Hadith learning outcomes, while students' school backgrounds did not influence these results.

Abstract

This article describes Muhammad Ali's educational endeavors since he came to power in 1805. Muhammad Ali built schools and brought in European teachers to teach, and he aimed to take advantage of scientific developments in European countries to create a modern Egypt. By conducting a literature study and a qualitative approach, we analyze the sources obtained and describe them historically using a qualitative approach. Muhammad Ali had strong ambitions to become the sole ruler of the Middle East and his descendants. For this reason, a strong army is needed for this ambition. A strong military cannot come without medicine, chemistry, physics, civil engineering, and language education. His efforts succeeded brilliantly after experiencing obstacles almost on par with all European countries. However, this effort is detrimental to Islamic Education and Al-Azhar by building schools that sometimes do not follow Islamic teachings and rule out Arabic as the language of the Koran. Even so, public Education did not continue and run as it should because Western countries stopped Muhammad Ali's ambition to build a modern state. After all, the interests of the West and Russia were disrupted.

Abstract

This article aims to develop video learning media specifically crafted to assist educators in presenting learning materials more tangibly and understandably, particularly within early childhood education. Guided by the Research and Development (R&D) process, the study focuses on two primary objectives: (1) elucidating the intricacies of developing STEAM-based video learning media for Early Childhood Education, incorporating Religious and Moral Values, and (2) evaluating the appropriateness and effectiveness of such media in the educational context. Adopting the ADDIE development model, the research encompasses five pivotal stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation process for the developed product entails collaboration with media, material, and design experts, complemented by feedback from colleagues. One-to-one tests, Small Group Tests, and Field Test methods are employed to assess the effectiveness of the media. Validation results from these experts affirm that the developed media aligns seamlessly with the criteria for successful application in educational settings. During the product implementation phase involving 15 students, it became evident that this development was an effective learning tool. The post-test scores surpassing the pre-test scores indicate the product's efficacy in enhancing the understanding of morning phenomena, instilling religious and moral values, and fostering STEAM creativity in early childhood education.

Abstract

This article aims to explore and improve the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) by implementing interdisciplinary collaboration strategies. The research method involved in-depth interviews with IRE lecturers at ULM, gaining in-depth insights into implementing cross-disciplinary collaboration to improve professionalism. The surprising research results revealed that cross-disciplinary cooperation is essential in enriching IRE teaching methods beyond conventional boundaries. Integrating disciplines such as psychology, technology, and pedagogy allows for adjustments to students' diverse learning styles, shifting the teaching paradigm to be more holistic, adaptive, and responsive to current educational dynamics. In addition to confirming the need for continuous professional development for educators, this study also identified several challenges that must be overcome to strengthen the professionalism of IRE educators, including financial limitations, insufficient social recognition, and rapid technological development. Recommendations from this study include the development of holistic and technology-based continuing training programs and advocacy to increase social recognition and appreciation of the critical role of IRE educators in facing the growing complexities and demands of modern education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the rationale and formulation of a featured program, namely Hafidz Quran, which is implemented by educational institutions, especially at Muhammadiyah Sukamara Junior High School. The research was qualitative, which did not use statistical formulas in processing and analyzing data but was described naturally as it was. The study found that the formulation and rationale for the featured program of Hifdzul Qur'an at Muhammadiyah Sukamara Junior High School is the juridical formulation consisting of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System and Muhammadiyah Central Leadership Guidelines Number 01/PED/I.0/B /2018 concerning Muhammadiyah Primary and Secondary Education. The religious formulation is based on the guidance of the Quran and Hadith, which are the basic needs of managers and society. Apart from being a continuation program for tahfiz from kindergarten and elementary school, this program is also a necessity for schools and the community in building the nation's life more intelligently.

Abstract

Despite the extensive documentation of educational curriculum research, there is still a lack of studies examining the constructs of integrated curriculum and its presentation by incorporating religious content into various subjects. To address this gap, this research aims to analyze the constructs of integrated curriculum in terms of curriculum content, presentation, and the supporting factors for implementation in the learning process. Data collection involves document analysis of curriculum guidelines, teacher manuals, student package books, and direct observation of learning implementation. The study's findings, based on document analysis and observation, are further reinforced through interviews with the school principal and teachers. The research reveals that the curriculum constructs at SDIT Insantama Kendari encompass the classification of material comprising elements of Islamic character formation, introduction to Islamic culture (tsaqafah), and the introduction of science and skills. These components are presented in the learning activities by integrating religious education into all subjects through team teaching, non-co-education, and a shared perception among teachers who assume the role of religious educators.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the characteristics of social ethics in Santri (student) traditions, symbols and symbolic meanings of social ethics in Santri traditions, and the urgency of social ethics in the context of developing Santri traditions. The approach in this research is a case study in Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Manar Muhammadiyah Boarding School Ogan Komering Ilir. Data collection used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. At the same time, the research data was analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques, such as the Miles & Huberman model. The results showed that the characteristics of social ethics in the Santri tradition can be identified into four forms of social action, namely instrumental rationality action, value-oriented rationality actions, traditional actions, and affective actions. As the perpetrators of the tradition, Santri only understands the Santri tradition in its theological and sociological meanings. Ustaz (teacher), as the shaper of the Santri tradition, understands the sense of tradition in various contexts, namely theological, philosophical, sociological, psychological, political, economic, and cultural. The urgency of social ethics in the context of developing the Santri tradition is as a value system in the process of forming the Santri tradition, as a code of ethics contained in the Santri tradition, and as a moral philosophy to explain the existence of the Santri tradition.
