Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide direct training to residents/communities in Pangururan, Siallagan Village, and Ulos Village of Samosir Regency on filling out the 1770SS tax return through e-filing. This training was held at the Samosir Regency DEKRANASDA Hall on Saturday, 04 March 2023, starting at 09.00 until completion and was attended by 32 participants. This activity began with an opening prayer, opening activities by the Dinas Koperasi & UMKM Kabupaten Samosir, remarks from the head of the Faculty of Economics and Business, HKBP Nommensen University, presentation of material and practice with the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach, discussion and closing. This training is very helpful for participants to report their taxes on time and avoid calculation errors. Technically, there were still obstacles during this training because the internet network was less supportive and participants did not master the use of laptops / smart phones as a medium in reporting taxes through e-filing. Nevertheless, over all the participants were very enthusiastic in responding to the explanation from the resource person and based on the explanation gradually the participants were able to report their taxes through e-filing.

Abstract

Abstract Trash is a very complicated problem for anyone who lives and gets activities in any environment. Trash can be very disturbing for students because they are not disciplined in throwing away trash. The government issued Government Regulation (PP) Number 27 of 2020 concerning Specific Trash Management, Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Trash Management, and Government Regulation Number 81 of 2012 concerning Management of Household Trash and Household-Like Trash as one of their concrete steps. System development projects involve students, teachers, programmers, and other parties within the school who know about and are affected by the project. The problems being faced by partners are planned to be overcome by providing software in the form of a trash buying and selling application or also known as qr trash. An initial agreement between the school and the software developer is the main requirement for using the waterfall method. The system was developed by designing an application that can be installed on smartphone devices. The application designed is called qr – trash. This application can be accessed if the user has registered an account first. Account registration by users is carried out via “qr code”.

Abstract

Mastery of English is a must for everyone around the world. Likewise in Indonesia, mastering English will provide great benefits for future studies and careers. However, students still experience obstacles in learning and practicing English either in the school environment or in the community because English is a foreign language for the Indonesian people, which is not used as an official or everyday language. Therefore, the PKM activities of the Faculty of Languages ​​and Arts, HKBP Nommensen University try to provide solutions to students and the community to improve their ability to master English. By focusing on English 'tenses' training for Sunday school students at the HKBP Getsemane church, Martubung Medan. The training participants were 20 elementary and middle school students who were Sunday school children and church teenagers. The training lasted for two weeks with three meetings each week, starting from 16-28 October 2023. After the training was carried out, the results of the training in the form of trainee test scores showed significant progress in the trainee's ability to understand and practice English tenses, both written and verbal. From the observations it was also found that the training participants were very enthusiastic and interested in learning English using the methods used in class.

Abstract

Education emphasizes the importance of writing skills and reading literacy for students, with writing as a means to express ideas and reading literacy as the primary key. Scientific paper writing (KTI) serves as a platform to develop students' writing skills with teacher guidance, especially through extracurricular activities such as the Teen Scientist Group (KIR). However, lack of motivation and guidance leads to a decline in students' interest in KTI. Reading literacy, from both traditional and social media sources, and guidance from skilled teachers can increase students' interest and abilities in writing KTI. KTI guidance for teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Nganjuk is part of community service efforts to improve students' reading and writing literacy. Implementation methods include material presentations, literature studies, KTI creation simulations, and direct guidance. As a result, teachers show high enthusiasm in learning and proposing KTI ideas, focusing on current issues. This activity successfully enhances teachers' interest and skills in guiding students in writing KTI.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide socialization on the implementation of 2024 Peaceful Election, which focuses on strengthening the participation of millennial beginner voters in Joyotakan Subdistrict, Surakarta in this five-year Democratic Party. This service activity was carried out in three stages, encompassing preparation, socialization, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, this was done by collecting administrative data from residents of Joyotakan Subdistrict and first-time voters consisting of students from SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Joyotakan. In the socialization stage, it was realized in the form of open seminars held for two (2) days, and in the evaluation stage, it was carried out with the aim of understanding the extent to which this activity has achieved the stated objectives, as well as to identify related strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The enthusiasm of the seminar participants, especially the first-time millennial voters, is very good in participating in this seminar. Thus, it is hoped that they will have a firm desire to participate in the 2024 Peaceful Elections by both monitoring and properly using their voting rights without being provoked by false news issues.

Abstract

In the 2024 General Election, Indonesians will use their voting rights to elect five political positions, namely the president and vice president, members of the DPR, members of the DPD, members of the provincial DPRD and members of the district / city DPRD in accordance with Law Number 7 Year 2017. The activity of building public awareness with anti-hoax socialization through brochures ahead of the election was held in Padangsambian Klod Village, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali Province. With the massive socialization of anti-hoax through brochures in Padangsambian Klod Village, it is hoped that the community will be more vigilant and not easily provoked by SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup) issues or misleading information spread by irresponsible individuals. This community service activity uses the participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Abstract

The "Swipe & Scroll Wisely Against Election Hoaxes 2024" program in Padangsambian Klod, Denpasar, Bali, aims to enhance the community's digital literacy and political awareness. Facing the 2024 Elections, this initiative educates about information verification and the impact of social media on democracy. Utilizing Instagram as a social media platform, the program produces educational content, facilitates online discussions, and fosters a critical community. Its impact is evident from the improved ability to identify hoaxes and increased participation in political discussions, as well as the formation of digital volunteers for ongoing digital literacy campaigns.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase students' knowledge and transformational leadership skills so that they can apply transformational leadership when carrying out learning practices in the classroom in the future. Nineteen students participated in the activity, but only 18 completed the evaluation. The science and technology transfer team includes the concepts and dimensions of transformational leadership, integration strategies for transformational leadership using scientific learning models, and how to evaluate students' transformational leadership. The three sciences and technologies were transferred using three methods, namely lectures and discussions, exercises, as well as presentations and reflections. The team evaluated service activities (pre test-post test) using seven open questions developed from the dimensions of transformational leadership developed by Carless et al. (2000). The results showed an average increase in understanding of transformational leadership in the medium category (0.3 <0.7). The highest increase was in the second dimension, namely team development, with a value of 0.70. Meanwhile, the dimension with the lowest increase was charismatic, with a value of 0.30. The other five dimensions are in the value range of 0.47-0.65 or are included in the medium category. In the future, service can be expanded by evaluating students' transformational leadership from the perspective of team/group members in learning activities to provide a more operational evaluation perspective on students' transformational leadership experiences.

Abstract

Sambigede Village, District. Pakisaji is one of the areas that has high potential in the livestock sector in Malang Regency, the potential is around 20 thousand poultry, 100 cattle, and there are also 3 fish farming groups. So far, the animal feed pellets given by breeders are natural feed in the form of bran and other grains. Animal feed pellets, which are often referred to as pellets, are one of the most important things to pay attention to in the livestock industry, Pellets are a source of nutrition that has a huge impact on livestock, especially poultry breeders, but breeders in this village still have difficulty producing pellets because limited knowledge and technology. So it is necessary to implement an animal feed pellet printing technology machine to provide animal feed pellets in the form of feed pellets independently. The aim of this community service is to diffuse Appropriate Technology for animal feed pellet printing machines by providing knowledge and skills about how to make feed pellet products, and operation and maintenance of animal feed pellet printing machines to partners. Based on the implementation that has been carried out, production increases can be actualized to increase the production of feed pellets 40 kg/hour, so that the implementation of an animal feed pellet printing machine can provide a relatively large contribution to increasing productivity, quality, and turnover for community groups in Sambigede Village, Pakisaji, Malang.. Abstract

There are many problems and obstacles faced by micro-enterprises that often hinder business development. Starting from the lack of knowledge about business development, product standardization and mastery of current technology. And the most often happens is limited sales access due to lack of understanding marketing strategies. The problems faced by partners include that partners do not have the right marketing strategy to develop their business. Solutions include business management assistance, brand management and digital marketing. The output of this service includes increasing business development knowledge and partner skills in marketing through digital marketing.
