Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of intercultural communication related to multiculturalism, cultural differences, and language as a cultural map at SMA Mardi Yuana, Sukabumi City, Indonesia, on efforts to build national unity. The author used qualitative research methods with semi-structured interview techniques, through a case study approach from the participants. The results of the interviews were thematically analyzed by the author and then grouped based on the similarity of views expressed by the informants. The author found that there are significant differences in students' opinions regarding tolerance and multiculturalism based on gender. Male student informants tend to have a higher tendency to have a negative opinion on problems caused by differences in ethnicity, religion and race compared to female students. Gender plays a role in students' perceptions of social and cultural issues. These findings highlight the importance of education on tolerance and inclusion in schools. By understanding the complexity of students' views and the factors that have an impact on them, schools and educational institutions can design more effective programs in promoting tolerance, respect and inclusion among students, thus forming a generation that is more empathetic, inclusive and appreciative of multiculturalism.

Abstract

The integration of practical experience, interdisciplinary approaches, and the cultivation of an entrepreneurial mindset are important components in the evolution of social entrepreneurship education. The aim of writing this article is to determine the improvement in the quality of training through social entrepreneurial innovation and the availability of resources as an effort to empower the community (case study of the implementation of social entrepreneurial educational innovation through natural soap making training). This activity involves several campuses and prospective entrepreneurs from the East Medan Village Women's group, held at the East Medan Village PKK park on Tuesday 14 May 2024, from 08.00 to 08.00. finished. Activities carried out begin with providing theory followed by direct practice on the spot.   The results obtained are proven educational innovation through innovative training, practical experience such as making natural soap, and a comprehensive understanding of the principles of social entrepreneurship can enrich social entrepreneurship education. By implementing this approach, educational institutions can empower students or prospective entrepreneurs to become effective agents of change in overcoming complex social and environmental challenges.

Abstract

This Community Service activity was carried out at an SME which is engaged in the production of Balinese endek woven cloth, namely Tenun Tinizhop. Since its founding in 2018, Tenun Tinizhop has played a role in efforts to preserve local Balinese cultural wisdom through authentic Balinese woven fabrics produced using looms, not machines. The aim of this community service activity is to increase the promotion of woven fabrics by encouraging innovation through information technology, namely a multi-channel strategy. Implementing a multi-channel strategy can increase marketing promotions and sales of endek weaving products so that the endek weaving business will experience an increase and sustainable business goals can be achieved.

Abstract

Anaemia is a health problem that can occur in all age groups. One in 5 adults is anaemic, and 1 in 3 women of childbearing age is anaemic. This activity was named MATA BESAN, namely Anemia Free Tough Students, to educate anaemia prevention students in Banten Province. The implementation was done online and offline from May 27 until June 2, 2021, using video media, pamphlets, and a guidebook. The activity results showed increasing student knowledge scores from pre and post-test from an average of 67 to 88. This activity's online and offline methods have proven effective in reaching targets and increasing student knowledge. This activity is expected to prevent anaemia in Banten Province students by paying attention to broader socialization and more intensive and sustainable activities.

Abstract

In an effort to address the waste issue in Badung Regency, particularly in the tourist area of German Beach, PSU Undiknas partnered with Coca Cola to construct concrete waste bins. This initiative aimed to raise public awareness about the hazards of waste pollution. The methods of implementing this service activity are as follows: (1) Conducting socialization to German Beach residents to convey the activity plan for Making Concrete Garbage Tubs, (2) Identifying work items carried out in addition to making landfills also carried out site cleaning from scattered garbage, (3) Mobilization of equipment used for making concrete garbage bins, (4) Holding materials in the form of coral,  sand, cement, adobe and concrete iron for garbage bin making work, (5) Installation of bricks as high as 1.0 m length 2.0 m, width 1.0 m, (6) Floor work with concrete rebates, (7) Plastering and aci work on all surfaces of adobes, (8) Roof work is carried out with formwork, ironing and cast concrete. The implementation of making concrete trash cans resulted in 3 permanent trash cans, which are located in the middle of the German Beach environment. In one permanent tub made there are three partitions for organic, inorganic, and B3 waste.

Abstract

The 4P concept is a new idea in the field of martial arts activities. This concept was born out of concern about cases of violence that occur among the community, especially women and children. The 4P concept must be understood by teachers, martial arts trainers and martial arts practitioners so that the public understands more about the importance of understanding the concept of self-defense as a whole and in general. Socialization activities for the 4P concept were carried out in several locations in two different cities. The main target of this activity is martial arts practitioners who teach martial arts activities directly. Activities are carried out in several locations with a time allocation of one day for each session. The total number of participants who took part in this socialization activity was 120 people, consisting of self-defense trainers and self-defense practitioners, divided into 3 different times. Abstract

Abstract Assistance with Digital Banking Services Usage at Bank BPD Bali Capem Puspem Badung identifies low levels of digital technology adoption among customers as a major challenge. Despite Bank BPD Bali’s commitment to regional economic development and providing inclusive banking services, many customers still rely on cash transactions and physical visits to the branch. This Internship Program aims to enhance understanding and usage of digital banking applications through intensive support. This approach includes direct education on how to use the app, its benefits, and technical problem- solving. Results show an improvement in customers' understanding and skills in using digital services, but challenges related to digital literacy still need to be addressed. The program demonstrates effectiveness in increasing digital service adoption, supporting Bank BPD Bali’s goal of delivering more efficient and high-quality banking services, and contributing to the economic development of Bali. Evaluation and the development of a structured monitoring system are necessary to ensure the program’s sustainability and effectiveness in the future. Abstract

Abstract Rice is an agricultural product that is the main consumption of the Indonesian people, especially the people of the province of North Sumatra and especially in the TOBASA area and the Amborgan Village Community, Porsea District. In an area there is usually only one unit of rice hulling machine. For the rice hulling process, most farmers do the milling at that place and often have to queue because of the many farmers who will hull the rice. Therefore, with the help of a rice hulling machine, it can make it easier for the community, especially the home industry, to speed up the rice hulling process. Therefore, the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, HKBP Nommensen University, carried out community service to the village of Amborgan Village, Porsea District, TOBASA Regency by donating and providing training on operating a rice hulling machine. The result is that the community and the district government, especially the TOBASA Regency DPRD, are very happy with this program. And the community there is helped by the tools donated by the UHN Mechanical Engineering Study Program because they can helpis the essence of all parts of a complete paper that contains 75-200 with 10pt font size and protrudes 1cm from the left margin and right margin. The abstract is written in less than half a page. Abstract written in English and Indonesian.

Abstract

The Stress Management Seminar for Pastors at GBKP Klasis Kabanjahe Sukarame was organized in response to the heavy duties and responsibilities borne by pastors. As leaders, shepherds, and teachers, pastors often face complex and demanding service challenges. They must provide maximum service to the congregation, frequently encountering dilemmas between prioritizing family interests or those of the congregation. This situation potentially leads to significant physical, psychological, and emotional fatigue, ultimately resulting in stress. The seminar aimed to equip pastors with stress management knowledge and skills to better handle the pressures encountered in their daily duties. Through an interactive and practical approach, the seminar covered stress management techniques, including relaxation strategies, time management, and the development of social support systems. The results of the seminar indicated a significant benefit for the pastors in terms of reduced stress levels and improved overall well-being. It is hoped that this seminar can serve as a model for similar future activities, supporting the mental and emotional health of pastors in their service duties. Abstract

In the era of globalization, traditional therapy clinics are required to ensure high personnel performance in providing services to the community, especially patients as the object of service. The low level of knowledge of health workers regarding health credential management affects the performance and quality of services in clinics. The aim of the health workers credential training activity is to improve the quality of health services at Griya Sehat Shareeah, Depok City. The community service activity was attended by 13 health workers from Griya Sehat Shareeah. Training is carried out with several practice sessions and an ongoing training program that focuses on technical and moral support efforts. The results of training show that there are differences in the level of knowledge after being given training to health workers. Thus, credential management training using lectures and practice methods can increase health workers knowledge about credential management and strengthen knowledge of the competence and authority of health workers at Griya Sehat Shareeah in providing health services so as to improve service quality. In the end, Griya Sehat Shareeah became an exemplary model that was able to combine traditional medicine with modern medicine in society.
