Abstract

Distributors play a strategic role in the supply chain, particularly in the information technology (IT) industry, as intermediaries between IT product manufacturers and consumers. Selecting the right distributor is crucial to ensuring product quality, delivery efficiency, and reliable after-sales services. However, manual processes in distributor selection often face challenges such as subjectivity, inefficiency, and the complexity of criteria. This study developed a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) utilizing the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) and Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) methods to support systematic and objective evaluation and selection of distributors. ROC was employed to determine the weights of criteria based on priorities, while COPRAS was used to evaluate alternatives and rank them according to utility values. The case study revealed that CompNet (A5) was the best distributor with the highest utility value of 100%, followed by Mikom (A2) (94.91%), Datascrip (A1) (91%), Astrindo (A3) (83.29%), and VSTecs (A4) (82.72%). The system produced automated results consistent with manual calculations, demonstrating its accuracy and reliability. The black-box testing also confirmed that all system features functioned as specified. This research contributes to the development of a web-based DSS for IT distributor selection by integrating the ROC and COPRAS methods, which are relevant for multi-criteria decision-making and practical for corporate implementation.

Abstract

The demand for supplementary education has increased along with the intense academic competition, making tutoring centers an essential solution. However, the selection of tutoring centers often faces challenges such as the abundance of alternatives, the lack of structured methods, and subjective decision-making. The aim of this study is to design and develop a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Rank Sum and WASPAS approaches as a foundation for supporting the objective selection process of tutoring centers. The Rank Sum method is employed to determine the weights of criteria based on their priority levels, while the WASPAS method is used to evaluate alternatives by integrating criteria weights and alternative performance. The system is implemented as a web-based application that facilitates the management of criteria, alternatives, and computations to generate the best alternative recommendations. A case study reveals that the Ganesha Operation alternative ranks the highest with a score of 0.8739, followed by Nurul Fikri (0.8595), Primagama (0.8501), Neutron (0.8394), and Inten (0.8223). Black-box testing indicates that all system features function effectively and meet the specified requirements. This demonstrates that the designed system provides functionality aligned with its design and user needs. The contributions of this study include the integration of the Rank Sum and WASPAS methods, the implementation of a practical web-based system, and the provision of a methodology applicable to similar case studies across various fields.

Abstract

The development of hotels has become an important part of the tourism industry, with the main function as a place to stay for guests. Hotels have evolved from simple structures to complex ones that offer various facilities and services to meet various guest needs. This study focuses on developing a system that can assist in making hotel selection decisions by considering various criteria such as hotel area, price, and room type. The problem discussed in this study is the difficulty in choosing the best hotel among many choices, which can be influenced by various factors. The purpose of this study is to design a system that can effectively evaluate and rank hotels based on their attributes, so that the decision-making process becomes more efficient and accurate. The MOORA method is used in this study to evaluate hotels based on their attributes. This method is very useful in situations where there are several criteria that are not mutually exclusive, allowing for a more comprehensive evaluation. This study uses a combination of data collection, definition of alternative criteria, and weighting to create a decision matrix. The results of this study demonstrate the effectiveness of the MOORA method in selecting the best hotel based on predetermined criteria. The result of this study is a decision support system that can be applied in various contexts where hotel selection is a crucial decision. This system provides a structured approach to evaluating hotels, ensuring that selection is based on a thorough analysis of the available options. This research contributes to the development of more effective decision-making tools in the hospitality industry, ultimately improving the overall customer experience.

Abstract

Designing and developing systems capable of monitoring ground tremors in real-time and providing early warning before major earthquakes occur, increasing speed and accuracy in detecting potential earthquakes. This technology is known as an Internet of Things (IoT)-based earthquake monitoring and early detection system that uses motion sensors. To detect seismic activity, the system uses several motion sensors connected to the Internet of Things network. These motion sensors measure changes in ground vibration and transmit the data to a central server, which will process it to detect possible earthquakes. This research uses a methodology consisting of several stages. First, primary data is collected from motion sensors located in various earthquake-prone locations. This data is sent to a central server over the internet network. Furthermore, digital signal processing algorithms are used to analyze data to distinguish normal ground tremors from those that can signal earthquakes. This algorithm was created to identify suspicious changes in the intensity and frequency of ground vibrations. The system then sends a warning or notification to the user's device, such as a smartphone or computer, if a potential earthquake is detected. According to BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency) Earthquake intensity scale (GIS) states the impact caused by earthquakes. This scale is arranged more simply by having only five levels, namely I-V, where each level has its own meaning, level I is marked with white and level II is marked with green and level III is marked with yellow and level IV is marked with orange and the last level V is marked with red, and each level has its own meaning. The results show that the designed system can detect vibrations with high accuracy and provide early warning within seconds after suspicious seismic activity is detected. In addition, this system has a speed of sending data from the sensor to the server and good performance in the use of the internet network. IoT-based motion sensors allow for broader and decentralized monitoring of earthquakes. So, this Internet of Things-based earthquake monitoring and early detection system can be a good solution to improve earthquake disaster preparedness. By applying these technologies in different earthquake-prone areas, they can help spread and respond to potential earthquakes more quickly

Abstract

Mental health, especially depression, is a major issue among college students due to academic, social, and social media pressures. Depression detection faces challenges such as stigma, low literacy, and ineffective conventional methods. Machine learning technology offers solutions with algorithms such as Naive Bayes, SVM, and Random Forest to improve detection accuracy, support early intervention, and improve the student mental health system. Mental health, especially depression, is a major issue among college students due to academic, social, and social media pressures. Depression detection faces challenges such as stigma, low literacy, and ineffective conventional methods. Machine learning technology offers solutions with algorithms such as Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine to improve detection accuracy, support early intervention, and improve the student mental health system. Based on the results of the performance analysis of the machine learning algorithm, the most effective model in predicting depression status in students is Logistic Regression which has an accuracy rate of 95.62%. As a strategic step, machine learning technology can be integrated for early diagnosis of depression in students. This system is expected to be more effective and efficient, improve diagnostic accuracy, and open up opportunities for new approaches to responsive, data-driven mental health.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the usability of the user interface in the horror game “GhostyGhost” using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The game is designed to create an immersive gaming experience through visual and aesthetic elements that support a horror atmosphere. In this research, 20 respondents were purposively selected to play the game, complete specific tasks, and fill out an SUS questionnaire consisting of 10 statements. This method allows for the assessment of usability aspects such as ease of use, efficiency, and satisfaction. Results showed that “GhostyGhost” achieved an average SUS score of 71.62, categorized as "good." Interface elements, such as dark tones, fog effects, and character dialogues, successfully created a horror atmosphere without compromising navigation comfort. However, some respondents reported challenges in understanding certain game mechanics, reflecting the need for improvements in navigation and user guidance. This research provides valuable contributions to the development of more intuitive, efficient, and user-focused interfaces for horror games while offering recommendations for improving interface design effectiveness.

Abstract

Kaladan Village in Candi Laras Utara District, Tapin Regency, faces challenges in providing administrative services for cover letters due to the use of manual processes based on Microsoft Office and paper filing. This causes risks of data loss and delays in the approval process by the village head. The proposed solution is the digitalization of public services through the development of a web-based information system. This system is designed to address administrative needs, including approval of cover letters, data management, report generation, application submissions, and tracking of application statuses with digital signatures. The research findings indicate that this system improves service efficiency by up to 40%, reduces data loss risks, and speeds up administrative processes. With the implementation of this system, services are expected to become more efficient, accurate, and accessible to the community while serving as a model for other villages in improving public services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the simultaneous RW chairman election system in Pekayon Jaya Village, South Bekasi Subdistrict, Bekasi City. And to find out the obstacles faced in the process of simultaneous RW chairman election in Pekayon Jaya, South Bekasi Subdistrict, Bekasi City. The election process so far still uses conventional voting, namely by using paper media for the election process and manually calculating the election results, so that the calculation of election results is relatively long and calculations sometimes still occur errors. Advances in information technology today have brought considerable changes to humans, including the way to carry out voting. The use of computer technology in voting is known as electronic voting or e-voting, so that the election process becomes faster and more efficient. This system is designed using the research and development method used in this research is Rapid Application Development (RAD) with the PHP programming language, Sublime Text 3, and the database files are designed using MySQL Xampp. The design of this information system is made to help, simplify, and anticipate errors that occur in the selection of RW Chairmen. Blackbox testing results show that the functions in the software can run properly and no errors are found. Feasibility testing includes system quality, information quality, service quality, intensity of use, user satisfaction, and benefits obtained. The test results of this e-voting system in the user test included a very good category. Therefore, the e-voting system is feasible to use, with future improvements.

Abstract

Research on measuring LMS user satisfaction has been widely conducted; however, there remains a gap in the comprehensive evaluation of e-learning system usability, particularly in the context of Moodle platform adaptation in Indonesia. This study adopts a more systematic approach by employing the System Usability Scale (SUS) as the primary measurement instrument, complemented by qualitative analysis to provide a deeper understanding of the usability aspects that need improvement. The research employs a quantitative approach using survey methods to analyze user satisfaction with Moodle-based e-learning systems. This quantitative approach was chosen as it allows systematic measurement of the system's usability using the standardized System Usability Scale (SUS) instrument [12]. Several stages are involved in this study, including pre-research, instrument preparation, validity and reliability testing, data collection, and data analysis. Given the highly fluctuating and difficult-to-determine population size, the study uses snowball sampling to obtain the sample. The respondents include active university students from various higher education institutions in Indonesia who regularly use the Moodle platform for their learning activities. Other inclusion criteria include: having used Moodle for at least one semester, actively participating in online learning, and being willing to complete the questionnaire. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to generating empirical data on the usability of Moodle-based e-learning systems using the standardized SUS method. The results are expected to provide practical recommendations for improving system usability while enriching the literature on the implementation of SUS in the e-learning context in Indonesia.
