Abstract

Abstract: Changes in the evolving demands of the global workforce have prompted the higher education sector to respond through micro-credential programs, which aim to bridge the gap between formal education and industry. This study seeks to analyze the alignment between the implementation of micro-credentials in Indonesia and the latest definition of educational technology approved by the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) in 2023. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review, the study examines policy documents, reports from international organizations, and scientific articles published within the last five years. The findings reveal that micro-credentials in Indonesia demonstrate strong alignment in the dimensions of performance improvement and strategic design, partial alignment in learner empowerment, and significant gaps in the ethical dimension, particularly concerning data privacy and equity of access. The study concludes that micro-credentials in Indonesia are on the right track, but greater emphasis is needed on data governance, quality assurance, and curriculum integration to achieve full alignment with the AECT 2023 paradigm.   Keywords: Micro-Credentials, Educational Technology, Learner Empowerment, Strategic Design, Ethics

Abstract

Abstract : This study analyzes the application of Hamka’s educational method particularly the use of dialogue-based discussion and moral cultivation (akhlak) as a foundation for developing students’ digital ethics and moral literacy in the contemporary technological era. This research employs a qualitative library-research approach using thematic analysis of Hamka’s major works and relevant scholarly articles. The findings indicate that Hamka’s concept of discussion, which emphasizes open dialogue, rational inquiry, and deep understanding, is highly relevant for digital-age education in fostering critical thinking, ethical awareness, and the ability to evaluate the moral implications of online behavior. Meanwhile, Hamka’s emphasis on akhlak including honesty, etiquette, responsibility, and self-restraint functions as a value-based framework to guide digital ethical conduct in addressing misinformation, hate speech, and moral degradation in online environments. This study concludes that integrating discussion-based learning with moral cultivation offers a contextual and comprehensive model for digital moral education suited to the needs of 21st-century learners. It contributes to Islamic education theory in the digital era and provides an implementable model for teachers to nurture civilized, ethical digital behavior among students. Abstract

Abstract: Online learning in higher education often faces the problem of increasing students’ cognitive load due to poorly structured and excessive material presentation. One potential strategy to address this issue is microlearning. This study aims to analyze the use of TikTok as a microlearning medium in managing students’ cognitive load in online learning. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach conducted in the Design and Innovation of Learning course within the Mathematics Education Study Program at Universitas Insan Budi Utomo during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, involving 41 students. Learning was carried out over six sessions using TikTok-based microlearning curated through Padlet. Data were collected using a cognitive load questionnaire covering intrinsic, extraneous, and germane cognitive load, and then analyzed descriptively. The results show that intrinsic cognitive load was at a moderate level, extraneous cognitive load was at a low level, and germane cognitive load was at a high level. These findings indicate that TikTok-based microlearning can reduce irrelevant cognitive load while simultaneously fostering students’ understanding processes in online learning.   Keywords: Microlearning; TikTok; Cognitive Load; Online Learning; Educational Psychology

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of self-efficacy in the effectiveness of technology-based learning through a systematic literature review designed to identify patterns, contributing factors, and pedagogical implications across studies. The research method involved selecting articles through a rigorous screening procedure using PRISMA standards, resulting in a set of relevant studies that were then thematically analyzed. The findings indicate that self-efficacy functions as a key psychological factor mediating the relationship between technology use and learning outcomes, particularly by enhancing motivation, engagement, persistence, and self-regulation. The development of self-efficacy is supported by the quality of digital learning design, structured success experiences, social support in the learning process, and learners’ technopedagogical competence. The study concludes that the effectiveness of technology-based learning does not depend on the platform used, but rather on learning experiences designed to foster learners’ confidence. It recommends strengthening instructional design, improving learner competence, and expanding research across different educational levels to deepen understanding of the role of self-efficacy in digital learning contexts.   Keywords: Self-Efficacy, Technology-Based Learning, Instructional Design, Learning Effectiveness, Educational Technology

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze and describe the role of teachers in optimizing children's kinesthetic intelligence through the Aku Cinta Indonesia (ACI) gymnastics activity at TK Dharma Wanita Lilibooi Village. Kinesthetic intelligence refers to an individual's ability to use the body effectively to express ideas, emotions, and motor skills through coordination, balance, agility, and movement control. In early childhood education, the development of this intelligence is very important because it is closely related to children's physical, cognitive, and social development. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a field study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, the school principal, and children’s activities during the gymnastics sessions. The findings indicate that teachers play a significant role as facilitators, motivators, role models, and evaluators in the implementation of ACI gymnastics. Teachers design simple movements, demonstrate them directly, use engaging music, and provide motivation and guidance to encourage children to move actively and confidently. Support from the school principal through the provision of facilities, training, and supervision also strengthens the success of the activity. Supporting factors include children’s enthusiasm, teacher creativity, and adequate school facilities, while inhibiting factors include differences in children’s motor abilities, shyness, and physical conditions. Therefore, the Aku Cinta Indonesia gymnastics activity is proven to be effective in stimulating the development of children’s kinesthetic intelligence in a fun and gradual manner. Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to describe the Profile of Pancasila Students with a specific focus on the dimension of independence among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Seram Bagian Barat. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing with source triangulation. The findings reveal that students’ independence is at a developing stage but has not yet reached an optimal level. A small number of students demonstrated good self-regulation, such as managing time effectively, seeking solutions independently, and showing initiative in learning. However, most students remain dependent on teachers’ instructions, often delay assignments, and are easily distracted by gadgets and peer influence. The implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) has contributed positively to fostering independence, yet its execution remains inconsistent and is hindered by low motivation and weak self-control. Overall, the independence dimension shows positive progress but requires reinforcement from teachers, schools, and the learning environment to evolve into stable and sustainable independent behavior.   Keywords: Pancasila Student Profile; Student Independence; Character Education; Self-Regulated Learning; Qualitative Study

Abstract

Abstract : This study addresses a critical gap in Johannine scholarship, which has long been dominated by Western theological approaches that tend to emphasize metaphysical christological and symbolic dimensions, while providing limited exploration of relational aspects within pluralistic societies. The purpose of this research is to reconstruct the relational theology of the Gospel of John as an applicable model for faith formation in the context of Indonesian pluralism. Employing an integrative qualitative theological approach—combining biblical exegesis, narrative criticism, and contextual hermeneutics on John 1:1–18, John 6, and John 15—this study identifies relational ontology as the core of Johannine theology. The findings reveal that faith, from John’s perspective, is not merely cognitive-doctrinal acceptance, but rather an existential participation (menō) in divine relationship that manifests love as a dialogical bridge across differences. The novelty of this research lies in its systematic synthesis between biblical analysis and contextual praxis, resulting in the paradigm of “Johannine Relational Theology.” This model contributes theoretically to mitigating religious polarization and offers a new direction for dialogical faith formation in pluralistic societies.   Keywords: Gospel of John, Relational Theology, Faith Formation, Pluralism, Indonesia

Abstract

Abstract : Digital transformation has reshaped the landscape of education, where technology is no longer positioned merely as a supporting tool but has evolved into a cognitive bridge that fundamentally shapes how students think and interact. This article aims to critically explore how technological mediation reconstructs the principles of social constructivism and influences students’ cognitive competencies. Through a narrative review of key literature from 2014–2025, this study synthesizes Vygotsky’s classical theory with contemporary lenses such as Connectivism and Collaborative Cognitive Load Theory (CCLT). The research identifies three crucial points: first, the redefinition of Vygotsky’s concept of the Zone of Proximal Development, which now transcends physical boundaries and transforms into a global connective network; second, the implementation of the 5E Model within Technology-Enabled Active Learning (TE-ALE) environments has proven to yield significant net effects on sustaining cognitive abilities; and third, online collaborative learning environments (OCLE) function as a “collective working memory” capable of optimizing cognitive load for higher-order thinking activities. This article concludes that the effectiveness of digital learning depends not merely on the availability of devices, but on the design of ecosystems that balance cognitive efficiency and social presence. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating metacognitive strategies into higher education curricula to address the complexity of future information landscapes.   Keywords: Social Constructivism, Technological Mediation, Connectivism, Collaborative Cognitive Load Theory (CCLT), Cognitive Development

Abstract

Abstract : This study examines the dynamics of mission and evangelism within the Gereja Protestan Indonesia (GPI) Papua in the context of social change, religious plurality, and the transformation of church ministry in Papua. Mission and evangelism are understood not merely as efforts to expand church institutions, but as the proclamation of the Gospel centered on the salvific work of Jesus Christ while upholding human freedom and dignity. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive–interpretive method through a literature study of various theological, historical, and contextual sources related to church ministry in Papua. The findings reveal that the implementation of mission within GPI Papua has evolved from an institutional model of evangelism toward a more dialogical, contextual, and transformative approach. Within the multicultural and multireligious context of Papuan society, the church is challenged to develop a paradigm of peaceful mission that emphasizes social service, interreligious dialogue, education, healthcare, and community empowerment as integral dimensions of Christian witness. The study further identifies several major challenges faced by GPI Papua’s mission ministry, including social changes driven by modernization and digitalization, interreligious relations, limited ministerial resources, and the need for contextual theological formation. Therefore, the transformation of church mission should be directed toward strengthening the spirituality of ministry, increasing congregational participation, and developing mission approaches that are relevant to the social realities of Papuan society. In this sense, church mission is understood not only as verbal proclamation, but also as the praxis of ecclesial presence that embodies peace, justice, and social solidarity within society.   Keywords: church mission, evangelism, GPI Papua, ministry transformation, interreligious dialogue, Papua
