Abstract

This research was prompt by the number of domestic visits at The Oberoi Beach Resort Bali which had low visits compared to visits by foreign market shares. This study aims to analyse the impact of brand image on the buying interest of domestic tourists and the extent to which brand image has a significant influence on buying interest at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali. The data in this study was collected by questionnaire distribution techniques that use the Likert scale as a measuring tool, sampling was carried out based on non-probability sampling techniques, samples were purposively selected. The sample used amounted to 100 respondents from domestic tourists. The data collected was carried out quantitative analysis using SPSS software version 25 for Windows. This analytical approach involves testing rules for classical assumption testing, simple linear regression, t-test analysis and determination analysis. The results showed that brand image had a significant effect on the buying interest of domestic tourists at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali. With a tcount (12.623) > ttable (1.98447) and a coefficient of determination test value (R2) with a strong influence category with a percentage of 61.9%. In conclusion, it is important to increase a positive brand image to increase the buying interest of domestic tourists at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali. The practical implication of this research highlights the need for targeted branding strategies that resonate with domestic tourists by emphasizing local cultural elements, offering personalized domestic packages, and increasing brand familiarity through localized marketing efforts.

Abstract

Dapoer Bali Mula restaurant in Les Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng offers educational tour packages on the preservation of Balinese Arak and traditional Balinese dishes for tourists. This study aims to determine the influence of the uniqueness of the Balinese Arak production process and promotion on the participation of consumers with the intention to visit as an intervening variable in the Dapoer Bali Mula restaurant with 108 respondents. The statistical analysis used in this study is Path Analysis. The results of the study show that: 1) The uniqueness of the Balinese Arak production process and promotion affects the intention to visit; 2) The intention to visit, the uniqueness of the Balinese Arak production process and promotion affect the participation of consumers in promotion, both on their social media accounts and through "word of mouth"; 3) Intention to visit is an intervening variable between the influence of the uniqueness of the Balinese Arak production process on promotional participation by consumers; 4) Intention to visit is not an intervening variable between the influence of promotion on promotion participation by consumers. This research suggests that Dapoer Bali Mula restaurants should always strive to improve the quality of preservation of Balinese Arak Production Cultural Heritage and increase the variety of souvenir products so that more and more consumers participate in promoting Dapoer Bali Mula Restaurant

Abstract

Abstract The culinary business is one of the businesses that has developed rapidly recently. Today's society tends to be busy and highly mobile. People nowadays spend more time outside the home. According to the business environment analysis that has been carried out, the people of Cibubur Tourism City tend to have high mobility and spend a lot of time outside the home and prefer to eat and drink outside the home for fast and practical reasons. After discovering the problem that Indonesia is the largest cocoa producer, but more of it is exported to foreign countries, I plan to build a new business in the form of chocolate cafes with the name Happiness Cafe. In order to find out the business opportunities, the following is a calculation that will determine the feasibility of this chocolate cafe business. Eligibility criteria analysis produces a Payback Period (PP) of 2 years 2 months, Average Rate of Return (ARR) of 56%, Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp 44.493.995, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 34% and  Profitability Index (PI) of 1,4.

Abstract

Food vloggers are individuals who create and share culinary video content through social media to introduce gastronomy tourism trends in an interesting and informative way. This article aims to discuss the role of food vloggers in introducing gastronomy tourism trends as a sustainable tourism trend. The descriptive qualitative method is used to describe the relationship between the events or indications studied in a structured, factual and thorough manner. Data collection is done by collecting literature related to the topic to be analysed, including textbooks, scientific writing articles, YouTube and other legal sources. An interpretative descriptive method was also used to analyse the data.The results show that food vloggers play a role in introducing gastronomy tourism trends, including introducing traditional food as a form of cultural heritage preservation efforts, teaching healthy lifestyles, increasing interest in buying food, and helping to increase sales of small businesses in the culinary field. Food vloggers influence travellers' preferences in choosing a tourist destination. Through their content about gastronomy, they have indirectly supported the creation of sustainable tourism.

Abstract

North Sumatra has excellent tourism potential, one of which is Lake Toba, which is included in the 10 National Priority Tourism Destinations. To support tourism development, quality accommodation is an important factor, including resorts that offer exclusive experiences for tourists. Two well-known resorts in the Lake Toba area are Marianna Resort and Simalem Resort. This study aims to compare the two as a reference for property developers in developing new resorts. This study uses a qualitative description method with 3A analysis (Attractions, Amenities, and Accessibility). Data were obtained through observation of the official websites of the two resorts and a literature review from the book "Tourism Planning: An Integrated Sustainable Development Approach" by Edward Inskeep. The results of the study show that both resorts have zone classifications based on the Tripartite Concept method, namely core zones, buffer zones, and service zones, with different characteristics in supporting the tourism experience. The conclusion of this study reveals that design strategies greatly influence the attractions and amenities offered. Resorts that have been operating for a long time need to update their facilities to stay competitive. Providing diverse attractions and complete amenities is key to creating an exclusive experience for visitors. This study is expected to be a reference for developers in designing innovative and sustainable resorts on Lake Toba.

Abstract

This study analysis the implementation of the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in the Housekeeping Department of Gran Melia Hotel Jakarta and its impact on Green Hotels. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using PESTEL. The results of the study show that implementation of Reduce through reducing the use of chemicals and energy, Reuse by reusing linen and environmentally friendly cleaning equipment, and Recycle with a waste sorting system. The implementation of 3R improves operational efficiency and the image of a sustainable hotel. However, challenges such as employee awareness and program consistency are still obstacles. Further training and supervision strategies are needed to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of the 3R concept.

Abstract

Instagram is a social media application designed for smartphones and functions as a digital communication platform, similar to Twitter. However, its primary distinction lies in its emphasis on photo sharing, allowing users to disseminate visual content within specific contexts or locations. One of Instagram's key advantages is its seamless integration with other platforms under the Meta (formerly Facebook) ecosystem, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Messenger. Additionally, Instagram offers paid digital advertising features that can be utilized to promote and market products effectively. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Instagram as a marketing tool for KopiUNG Hand Crafted Coffee. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as interviews, observations, and document analysis. The study is grounded in the theoretical framework proposed by Bambang Dwi Atmoko, which emphasizes four key user engagement indicators: follow, like, comment, and share. The findings indicate that three of the four indicators follow, like, and share have been implemented effectively in the marketing strategy. However, the 'comment' indicator has not yet demonstrated the same level of effectiveness. The outcomes of this study are anticipated to serve as a valuable source of insight and provide strategic recommendations for enhancing the marketing efforts of KopiUNG Hand Crafted Coffee.

Abstract

The tourism sector is one of the businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. For the prevention and control of Covid-19, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has compiled Guidelines for the Implementation of Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE). This study aims to determine the implementation of CHSE at Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali. The research was conducted by conducting observations and interviews regarding the implementation of the CHSE. The data analysis technique of this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study are that Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali has implemented the CHSE guidelines well, as evidenced by the existence of SOPs related to Covid-19 prevention, available hand washing areas and hand sanitizers, body temperature monitoring, use of personal protective equipment such as masks and hand gloves, area cleaning/ spraying disinfectants, special signs to keep a distance, providing food not in a buffet system. However, there are still some shortcomings that are not in accordance with CHSE guidelines, namely the use of personal protective equipment (masks, handglove) which is not consistently applied due to inconvenience and the hotel environment has begun to be poorly maintained due to efficiency in all areas such as labor, electricity and water due to the pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

The importance of the existence of human resources in the development of tourism services Business, as can be seen from the ability of a company to develop, is very dependent on the ability of employees to carry out work tasks that are directed to the development of the company. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of leadership style on employee performance at Canggu Dream Village Hotel. The number of samples used was 45, using the saturated sample method. Data collection using Likert scale questionnaire Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis Hypothesis testing is done using the t-test. The results showed that the democratic leadership style variable was 6.626 compared to the t table, namely 1.6, which means rejecting H0 or H1 was accepted because t-count> t-table = 6.626> 1.6, meaning that democratic leadership style has a significant positive effect on employee performance at the Canggu Dream Village Hotel. Thus, it can be interpreted that the better the application of democratic leadership style, the higher employee performance. The magnitude of the influence of democratic leadership style on employee performance is 49.4%. It is expected that leaders provide time or opportunities for subordinates to convey input.

Abstract

Good human resource performance with a high work ethic will be able to help companies meet the company's targets and help the company gain profits, whereas if employee performance decreases and is bad it will harm the company. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was an influence of work discipline on employee performance at the Harris Riverview Kuta Hotel. This study uses a quantitative approach . The subjects of this study were employees at the Harris Review Kuta Bali Hotel. The number of employees is 45 employees. the sample in this study were all employees, totaling 45 people. The analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at the Harris Riverview Kuta Hotel. based on the results of a simple linear regression test performed with the regression equation Y = 20.634 + 0.634x. The influence given is also a significant influence based on the results of the t test, with a calculated t value of 4.214 and a significance value of 0.000. The influence contribution given by the Work Discipline variable on Employee Performance is classified as a weak influence that is equal to 29.2%.
