Abstract

Repeat analysis is a quality assurance program regarding medical imaging to determine the cause of image repetition, as a reference for radiographers, department workflows, and ultimately reduce patient dose (Atkinson et al, 2020). Based on the decision (Minister of Health Number 129/Menkes/SK/II/2008), the standard for radiographic image rejection is ≤ 2%. Most radiology installations have not implemented a comprehensive repeat analysis program so that the repeat rate has increased or decreased. The service team wants to provide assistance regarding the calculation, analysis and evaluation of repeat analysis and provide motivation to partners to routinely carry out quality assurance programs through socialization and mentoring to maintain service quality. The repeat analysis quality assurance program already exists but has not been routinely evaluated, March-May 2025 although still within normal limits (≤ 2%), the repeat rate increased from 0.8%, 1.17% and 1.23%, an average of 1.07%. The factors causing repeats were cut by 80%, movement by 13.3% and position by 6.67%. To minimize this, it is best to carry out periodic analysis and evaluation and look for causes and solutions.

Abstract

Ramadan is a strategic momentum for enhancing the quality of worship and spirituality among Muslims. However, low community participation in collective religious activities particularly khotmil qur'an (Qur'an completion recitation) has been a tangible issue in the Bandilan neighborhood, Kedungrejo, Waru, Sidoarjo. This community service activity aims to optimize the implementation of khotmil qur'an at Masjid Zainul Muttaqin as a means of increasing worship awareness, strengthening Islamic brotherhood, and empowering mosque-based communities. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was employed, with data collection through in-depth interviews with mosque administrators and participatory observation. The activity was conducted from March 6-9, 2025, during Ramadan evenings following tarawih prayers. Results indicated a significant increase in congregant participation from 3-5 to more than 20 per evening the formation of three structured recitation groups, and improvements in Qur'an recitation quality and collective worship consciousness. The activity also strengthened social solidarity and affirmed the central role of the mosque as an institution for Muslim community empowerment.

Abstract

Husbands' involvement plays an important role in supporting maternal and fetal health during pregnancy. This community service program aimed to improve husbands' knowledge and preparedness through the Ayah Hebat Program in Kubutambahan Village, Buleleng Regency. The intervention included health education, interactive discussions, simulation of pregnancy danger sign identification, and the development of a family birth preparedness plan. A total of 30 husbands of pregnant women participated in the program. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-test and post-test assessments and analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 61.3±10.4 before the intervention to 84.7±8.1 after the intervention, with a statistically significant difference (Z = −4.782; p = 0.003). Participants were also able to develop family birth preparedness plans, including health facility selection, transportation, blood donors, and healthcare provider contacts. The Ayah Hebat Program effectively improved husbands' knowledge and preparedness to support healthy pregnancies.

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) remain a major public health concern due to their increasing prevalence and their impact on quality of life and community productivity. Limited public awareness regarding risk factors and preventive measures contributes to the growing burden of NCDs. This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge and awareness of NCD prevention through health education. The activities consisted of initial interviews to assess participants’ understanding of NCDs, health education sessions focusing on risk factors and preventive strategies, and post-activity interviews to evaluate participants’ responses and understanding. Educational materials emphasized healthy lifestyle practices through the CERDIK approach, which promotes regular health check-ups, physical activity, balanced nutrition, smoking cessation, adequate rest, and stress management. The program increased participants’ awareness of NCD risk factors and encouraged the adoption of healthier behaviors. This initiative is expected to support the development of a healthier and more productive community.

Abstract

Low levels of early financial literacy in Indonesia lead to unhealthy financial behaviour in the future. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of promoting a culture of saving through creative poster design amongst 52 pupils in Years 1 and 2 at SDN 1 Singapadu Tengah. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this Community Service Programme (KKN) activity comprised pre-education, education and evaluation stages, all centred on poster creation. The pre-education results showed that pupils’ understanding of the concept of a bank was still low (36% in Year 1; 77% in Year 2). However, following the education phase through poster visualisation, pupils’ understanding improved significantly. Pupils successfully represented the concept of saving in concrete terms through symbols such as piggy banks, coins and dream items. Based on Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development, the activity of drawing piggy banks, coins and dream items successfully transformed abstract concepts into concrete operational concepts through the process of dual coding. The integration of visual arts proved effective as a medium for financial literacy education and assessment, catalysing a proactive shift in attitude towards fostering a culture of saving from an early age.

Abstract

The rise of social media, particularly TikTok, has changed consumer’s perceptions of how they discover, evaluate, and decide to purchase personal care products. This phenomenon has prompted several soap brands, including Alamic soap, to build a strong brand image and maintain product quality to foster sustainable consumer loyalty. This community service project aims to directly engage with Alamic business owners in implementing brand image and product quality strategies to enhance consumer loyalty toward Alamic soap through the TikTok social media platform. The approach used in this community service project involves direct engagement (active participation) by the participants as part of the marketing team in creating digital marketing content and conducting live shopping sessions. These activities serve as a means of disseminating science and technology to Alamic business owners to help them convey their brand image and product quality to consumers via the TikTok platform. This project demonstrates that such direct engagement can enhance consumer loyalty by strengthening brand image and product quality.

Abstract

The Village Care for Prosperous Workers (PERMATA) Program is a BPJS Employment program that aims to increase employment social security participation in rural areas. However, the village assessment and ranking process at the Kudus Branch of BPJS Employment is still carried out manually using spreadsheets, making data management less effective, prone to errors, and requiring a long time to prepare reports. This study aims to design a web-based PERMATA Village Ranking Information System to support a more structured and real-time village assessment process. The system was developed using the Waterfall method with the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The ranking process applies the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method based on predetermined assessment criteria and weights. The results of the study indicate that the system is able to simplify data management, accelerate automatic value calculations, monitor BPJS Employment membership, and produce faster, more accurate, and more transparent reports for the Kudus Branch of BPJS Employment.

Abstract

The "Grow Calm, Learn Better" psychoeducational program was implemented as an effort to improve students' well-being in coping with academic stress at SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau in Malang Regency. This initiative was prompted by the high level of academic pressure affecting students' emotional state, emotional regulation, and coping skills. The activity was conducted involving 25 junior high school students, using Likert-scale questionnaires, observations, and participant satisfaction evaluations as assessment instruments. The results indicated an improvement in students' understanding of academic stress, emotional regulation, and stress coping, with the average score increasing from 2.76 to 4.12. Additionally, students demonstrated more adaptive behavioral changes, such as the ability to recognize emotions, control emotional responses, and apply positive coping strategies. Abstract

The high divorce rate in Indonesia indicates that the readiness of prospective brides and grooms to build a successful married life still needs to be improved. In response, the government, through the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), organizes the Marriage Guidance Program (Bimbingan Perkawinan/Binwin) as a form of premarital education. This community service activity aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of married life, the rights and responsibilities of spouses, conflict management, and the establishment of a sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah family. The program was conducted at the KUA of Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta, using interactive lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, reflection, and evaluation through Google Forms. The materials covered family development, marriage regulations, and mental and emotional preparedness. The results showed that participants actively engaged in the program and demonstrated improved understanding of family roles, conflict resolution, work–family balance, and readiness for marital challenges. The program positively contributed to preparing prospective couples for harmonious family life and should continue to be developed through more participatory and innovative approaches.
