Abstract

This community service program aims to address the manual financial record-keeping problem faced by BUMDes Berkah Sentosa in Pangebatan Village, which has frequently caused data discrepancies and conflicts among its managers, while also improving the effectiveness, accountability, and cost efficiency of financial management in its food-sector business unit, and preparing financial reports that meet the requirements for funding applications, whether government subsidies, financial institution credit, or external investment. The method applied was Direct Action, through direct mentoring in the implementation of the BUMDes Financial Application (Intellectual Property Rights No. 000385898) developed by the implementation team, to address limitations in human resources for financial management. Abstract

The corpse care program in Parung District, Bogor Regency, is a collaborative initiative between extension officers from the Parung Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) and Dompet Dhuafa, acting as a strategic partner. The program was prompted by a declining number of *amil* (religious service personnel) due to aging, a lack of facilities for corpse care, and low community participation in handling the deceased—particularly in modern residential areas. It employs a Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology that integrates on-site education with practical training. Through this program, many community members have gained knowledge, confidence, and new skills and techniques; furthermore, the initiative has helped dispel gender-based taboos that often stigmatize women's involvement in the process of caring for the deceased.

Abstract

Tengkurak Village, Serang Regency, has promising potential for Gracilaria sp. seaweed, but its economic value remains limited because post-harvest handling is still traditional, raw material quality is inconsistent, and products are mostly sold as unprocessed material. This community service program aimed to improve the capacity of Tengkurak Berdikari farmer group through intensive preparation, Good Manufacturing Practices, and product diversification. The program used Participatory Rural Appraisal and action research through socialization, training, appropriate technology practice, pre-test, and post-test. The results showed that participants’ understanding increased from 6.25% to 80-90%. Washing, soaking, dewatering, hygienic drying, and milling produced cleaner, brighter, less fishy, and lower-moisture raw material with moisture content below 12%. This program demonstrates that simple technology managed through village institutions can improve quality, added value, and bargaining power for coastal communities.

Abstract

Completing the full course of basic immunizations is an effective measure for preventing vaccine-preventable diseases. However, some mothers still possess limited knowledge regarding the benefits and schedules of immunization. This community service activity aimed to enhance mothers' knowledge through health education using leaflets within the service area of the Cigandamekar Community Health Center (UPTD Puskesmas) in Kuningan Regency. The methods employed included problem identification, leaflet development, the delivery of health education, and evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. The results demonstrated an increase in participants' knowledge following the session. The leaflets helped participants understand the benefits, schedules, and importance of completing the full basic immunization course. This activity indicates that health education using leaflets is an effective health promotion method for increasing mothers' knowledge, thereby supporting the success of the full basic immunization program.

Abstract

Sexual violence, anemia, and stunting are interrelated and pose a threat to adolescent girls’ health. This community service activity aims to increase adolescent girls’ knowledge about the prevention of these three issues as well as the use of iron supplements. It was conducted in Banjarsari Village, Magelang Regency, on July 19, 2026, through a collaboration between the University of Tidar’s 48th Community Service Program (KKN) Team and Sahabat Perempuan. The methods used included interactive lectures, discussions, and QA sessions with 20 adolescent girls aged 11–17 years. The material covered gender concepts, forms of sexual violence, their relationship to stunting, anemia prevention, and the distribution of Iron-Folic Acid Tablets (IFAT). As a result, the participants showed great enthusiasm and gained an understanding of sexual violence, how to address it, and the importance of nutrition and iron-rich foods in preventing anemia and stunting. The collaboration between the university, the village, and supporting organizations contributed to the success of the activity. This awareness campaign effectively raised awareness among adolescent girls as part of efforts to foster a healthy and empowered generation.
