Abstract

This journal aims to analyze information technology (IT)-based logistics inventory systems in companies operating in the ready mix concrete and precast concrete fields. In the construction industry, efficient and accurate inventory management is critical to supporting effective and timely operations. This study identifies the problems existing in traditional inventory systems and proposes IT-based solutions to optimize logistics management. The methodology used includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, and system performance evaluation. The results of the research show that implementing an IT-based inventory system can increase the accuracy of inventory data, speed up the decision-making process, and reduce operational costs. This system also allows for better integration between various departments within the company, thereby improving overall coordination and efficiency. This study concludes that technological innovation in logistics management makes a significant contribution to increasing productivity and competitiveness of companies in the ready mix concrete and precast concrete industries.

Abstract

Universal Gloves is a company engaged in the production of rubber gloves in the city of Medan. The increasing number of foremen working in this company makes the diversity of foremen even more complex so that it is difficult to choose the best foreman. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a decision support system as an alternative solution to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the selection and quality of determining the best foreman. This decision support system uses the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method based on predetermined criteria and weights. The criteria used as indicators are Discipline, Initiative, Achievement, Cooperation, Order, Performance, and Social. The SAW method was chosen because it was able to select the best alternative from a number of alternatives. This research was carried out by looking for weights on each attribute, then ranking was carried out to determine the best foreman. The results of this study are in the form of a decision support application that can recommend the best foreman at PT. Universal Gloves.

Abstract

This research explores the application of data mining methods with the Naive Bayes algorithm to analyze and determine the best suppliers in supply chain management. Optimal supplier selection plays an important role in increasing company efficiency and competitiveness. The aim of this research is to develop an analytical model that is not only accurate but also effective in evaluating supplier performance based on available historical data. The data used covers a variety of critical attributes, including price, product quality, delivery times, and contract compliance from several suppliers. The research process involves data preprocessing steps such as cleaning, normalization, and dividing the data into training and test sets. The Naive Bayes method is applied to identify patterns and relationships in data, as well as produce predictions regarding supplier performance. The model is evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics to measure the reliability and accuracy of predictions. The analysis results show that the Naive Bayes method can predict supplier performance with a high level of accuracy and good consistency. These findings provide a valuable tool for companies in data-based decision making for better supplier selection. This research concludes that the Naive Bayes method is an excellent method for supplier performance analysis, offering a superior combination of accuracy and effectiveness. Recommendations for further research include the application of other data mining techniques and integration with supply chain management information systems to improve overall analysis results.

Abstract

Determining a strategic location for the opening of a new branch is an important decision in the development of the retail business. Choosing the right location can increase competitiveness and business success, while choosing the right one can pose a risk of loss. This article aims to evaluate and determine the best location for a new retail branch using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. The WASPAS method was chosen because of its ability to combine two multi-criteria approaches, namely the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) and the Weighted Product Model (WPM), which allows for a more comprehensive assessment of various location determinants, such as demographics, accessibility, operational costs, and market potential. Through a case study conducted on a company, the results of this study show that the WASPAS method can provide accurate and reliable recommendations in determining the best location for a new branch. The resulting recommendations are expected to support better strategic decision-making in the development of retail networks.

Abstract

Computer networks need to be managed well so that traffic on the network becomes more efficient. One of the layers of computer network management is the router device. This research uses Cisco Packet Tracer software. Cisco Packet Tracer is a network simulation tool for understanding, designing, and testing computer networks. It is a very popular tool among students, networking educators, and IT professionals for training and demonstrating networking concepts. The aim of this research is to analyze and design a LAN network with a tree topology. The simulation test results show that in each router in a different room during the data sending process there are no lost packets.

Abstract

The attendance system is an important element in managing employee or student attendance in various institutions. The application of modern technology, such as the Arduino microcontroller, can improve efficiency and accuracy in recording attendance. Traditional attendance systems that use manual methods are often prone to errors in recording and data manipulation. This can lead to inaccuracies in attendance data and inappropriate decision making. This study aims to design and develop an Arduino microcontroller-based attendance system that can improve the accuracy and efficiency of attendance recording. This system is expected to minimize errors and data manipulation that commonly occur in manual attendance methods. The methods used in this study include the design, development, and testing stages of the system. The system is designed using an Arduino microcontroller connected to a sensor or identification module, such as RFID or fingerprint, to detect attendance. The results of the study show that the Arduino-based attendance system can increase the speed and accuracy of attendance recording compared to the manual method. This system also provides convenience in managing attendance data and can be integrated with existing management information systems. Implementation of this system can reduce the time and costs required to manage attendance effectively.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the need for an efficient and easily accessible attendance system is increasingly important, especially in educational and organizational environments. Traditional attendance systems often require manual recording which is time-consuming and prone to errors. Therefore, information technology-based solutions that utilize web platforms can provide a more effective and modern way of managing attendance. This paper aims to describe the implementation of a web-based online attendance system, identify the advantages of this technology, and evaluate its functionality and effectiveness in managing attendance data in real-time. The online attendance system is developed using modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend frameworks such as PHP or Node.js, as well as relational databases such as MySQL. This system allows users to take attendance online through a web interface, with data automatically stored and managed on the server. The implementation process includes developing a user interface, creating an authentication and authorization system, and integrating with a database for data storage and analysis. The developed web-based attendance system provides easy access for users to take attendance from any location with an internet connection. Key features include user authentication, real-time attendance recording, and statistical reports that can be accessed directly through a web dashboard. The system also provides automatic notification to users and administrators regarding absence status and violations. The implementation of a web-based online attendance system has proven to be an effective and efficient solution for attendance management. By utilizing web technology, organizations can optimize the attendance process, reduce errors, and increase data accessibility. Further development and enhancement of the system are needed to overcome existing challenges and ensure the long-term success of the system.

Abstract

The population data collection of social assistance (Bansos) recipients faces various challenges, including data inaccuracy, information duplication, and slow data update processes. These problems can hinder the effective and targeted distribution of Bansos. This study aims to develop a website-based information system that can improve efficiency and accuracy in recording Bansos recipient data. The research methods used include user needs analysis, system design using an iterative software development model, and system testing through field trials. Data were collected through interviews with Bansos management officers and surveys of beneficiaries to ensure the system meets user needs. The results of the study show that this website-based information system is able to facilitate the recording and management of Bansos recipient data more accurately and quickly. This system provides automatic data validation features, real-time data update tracking, and integration with relevant government databases. The implementation of this system is expected to reduce data errors by up to 30% and increase the speed of the data collection process by up to 40%, thus supporting a more effective and efficient distribution of Bansos.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of web technologies has significantly transformed the educational landscape, necessitating the development of effective online learning systems. However, many existing platforms struggle to meet diverse learning needs, adapt to various teaching methodologies, and ensure user engagement. The problem addressed in this research is the lack of comprehensive online learning systems that effectively integrate modern web technologies to enhance educational outcomes. The primary goal of this research is to design and develop an online learning system that leverages cutting-edge web technologies to provide a flexible, interactive, and user-friendly educational environment. This system aims to support diverse learning styles, facilitate collaboration, and improve accessibility for both educators and learners. A mixed-method approach was employed in this study. The design and development of the online learning system were guided by user-centered design principles, involving iterative prototyping and testing. Quantitative data were collected through surveys to assess user satisfaction and system usability, while qualitative data were gathered from interviews to gain deeper insights into user experiences. The system's architecture was based on modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks, and cloud-based services. The research resulted in the successful development of an online learning system that received positive feedback from users for its intuitive interface and interactive features. Quantitative analysis indicated high levels of user satisfaction, while qualitative feedback highlighted the system's adaptability to different learning styles and its potential to enhance engagement. The integration of web technologies enabled real-time collaboration, seamless access to resources, and a personalized learning experience.
