Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a website-based information system for managing letter archives in an organization. The problem faced is the lack of efficiency in manual letter archive management, which often causes data loss, delays in access, and the inability to track incoming and outgoing letters quickly. Therefore, a system is needed that is able to automate the letter archiving process and facilitate fast and accurate search for archive data. The research method used in this study is the system development method which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data were collected through direct observation of the manual letter archiving process, interviews with system users, and literature studies related to information systems and archiving. The results of the study indicate that this website-based letter archive information system has succeeded in increasing the efficiency of letter archive management. This system allows users to easily store, manage, and search for archived letters. The use of this system also reduces the risk of data loss and speeds up the letter search process. Thus, this information system is expected to be an effective solution in overcoming the problems faced by organizations in managing letter archives.

Abstract

Patient care requiring IV fluids is an important aspect in the medical field. Accuracy and speed in monitoring IV fluid content are very important to avoid the risk of over-infusion or under-infusion that can endanger patients. However, manual monitoring methods that are still widely used today have limitations in terms of accuracy and response time. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system that can monitor IV fluid content in real-time and send notifications to medical personnel if the IV fluid approaches the critical limit. This system is expected to increase efficiency and accuracy in monitoring IV fluids, as well as reduce the risk of human error. This study uses an IoT-based system development method with the main components being a weight sensor to measure IV fluid content and a communication module to send data to a central server. The collected data will be analyzed in real-time using a data processing algorithm to determine the critical level of fluid. Automatic notifications will be sent via a mobile application or alarm system when the IV fluid approaches a predetermined limit. The results of the study show that the developed system is able to monitor IV fluid content with high accuracy and send notifications in real-time. Tests on a number of patients have shown that the system can significantly reduce the incidence of over-infusion and under-infusion, as well as improve the response time of medical personnel to critical situations. The implementation of this technology is expected to be widely applied in hospitals and other healthcare facilities to improve patient safety.

Abstract

In 2023, Tanah Laut State Polytechnic (Politala) will be 14 years old since its founding. Various prestigious achievements have been achieved, including the most recent in 2021, where Politala received the best SAKIP award among all Polytechnics in Indonesia. This achievement cannot be separated from the good management of higher education by the leaders. Facing the challenges of rapidly developing digitalization, Politala continues to strive to adapt to the needs to support its vision, namely "Becoming a leading & nationally competitive Polytechnic". Politala has implemented digitalization in various aspects, one of which is in learning. They use Wikisource as an archive for storing teaching materials and practical guidelines, which are accessed by lecturers and students. However, Wikisource has limitations in managing archives, because only one admin is responsible for all existing archives. Lecturers and students can only download teaching materials and practical guidelines without adequate user access control. The implementation of Bookstack as a replacement for Wikisource in Politala is focused on increasing accessibility and user involvement with their respective roles in managing information resources. This study aims to develop Bookstack to improve the accessibility of teaching materials and practical guidelines, ease of use, and encourage active user involvement in contributing and managing content. This implementation is also expected to strengthen collaboration between users in the development and updating of teaching materials and practical guidelines. Thus, the implementation of Bookstack will increase the effectiveness and efficiency in providing teaching materials and practical guidelines in Politala, making it easier for lecturers to upload documents, and students to access them.

Abstract

Information technology is a process from obtaining data to processing and analyzing the data so that it is stored in various ways to create or produce quality information. Currently, the development of information technology is very rapid and fast, including in Indonesia itself, therefore this research explores the Android-based design "Design and Build an Android-Based Customer Menu Recording Application at Benu Coffee Shop Using Agile Methods". Benu Coffee Shop, as a favorite place in the city center, faces challenges in the ordering system which still uses manual methods using pen and paper. Therefore, a system is needed that can manage menu orders according to customer and cafe needs. The Agile method was chosen for the development of this system because of its flexibility in adapting to changing needs. This research includes needs analysis, design of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, and databases. This system allows admins to manage menus, tables, customers and sales reports. System testing is carried out using the black-box method to ensure the expected functionality. Test results show success in displaying the login page, navigation and customer menu ordering. This system is expected to improve efficiency and service quality at Benu Coffee Shop by providing solutions that are responsive to changing needs.

Abstract

The role of the Internet of Things (IoT) is increasingly important in improving security and real-time monitoring in the port industry. PT Pelindo Regional 1, as one of the major port operators in Indonesia, faces huge challenges in managing ship traffic, goods flow, and infrastructure security. The application of IoT technology can provide solutions to improve operational efficiency, strengthen security systems, and enable real-time monitoring of various port assets and processes. Through connected sensors and advanced analytics systems, IoT helps detect potential security threats early, optimize the use of resources, and minimize the risk of loss. This study explores how the implementation of IoT at PT Pelindo Regional 1 has impacted the improvement of the security system and provides a more detailed view of the benefits of real-time monitoring in maintaining smooth port operations.

Abstract

The growth of the UMKM (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector is increasingly rapid, encouraging the need for digital platforms to simplify the process of ordering UMKM products. This design proposes the development of an application for ordering UMKM products using the Firebase Realtime Database which is integrated with Cloud Computer. Firebase Realtime Database is used as real-time data storage, while Cloud Computer is used to run applications on a larger scale. This application makes it easy for customers to explore UMKM products, place orders, and track order status directly. Firebase Realtime Database enables automatic data updates, providing users with accurate and up-to-date information. Integration with Cloud Computer ensures the application can handle a large number of users, as well as increasing the reliability and performance of the application. The main features of the application include a list of UMKM products, shopping cart, ordering system, order status notifications, and transaction history. The security of customer data is guaranteed through encryption applied to communications between the application and the Firebase Realtime Database. By adopting Firebase Realtime Database and Cloud Computer technology, it is hoped that this application can provide an efficient shopping experience and advance the UMKM sector in utilizing digital technology. This design creates the basis for further application development that can increase customer engagement and expand the market for UMKM

Abstract

This research explores the application of Cosine Similarity and TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) techniques for analyzing community complaints in Pertumbukan Village, Wampu District, through a web-based system. The increasing volume of community complaints requires an efficient method to categorize and analyze the ual data, enabling village authorities to prioritize and address the issues more effectively. By implementing Cosine Similarity, the system measures the similarity between complaint documents, helping to identify recurring themes or issues. TF-IDF is used to weigh the importance of terms in the complaint dataset, allowing the system to highlight significant concerns based on the frequency of keywords in each document. The integration of these techniques in a web-based platform offers an accessible and scalable solution for complaint management. The system is tested using real complaint data from the community, and the results show that this approach improves the accuracy and efficiency of complaint categorization. This research contributes to the development of more responsive public service systems in rural areas.

Abstract

Along with current technological developments, the application of information systems in a government agency is needed, because the rapid development of technology requires an agency to use information system technology in supporting performance in data processing to obtain faster and more accurate information, one of which is stunting data processing. This study aims to evaluate how the implementation of the stunting information system can improve the performance of village office employees to support the government to reduce the number of stunting in Pertumbukan Village, Wampu District. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results showed that the implementation of the stunting information system provided a number of benefits for village office staff such as improved performance, operational efficiency, and better ability to share stunting data information. In addition, the stunting information system also makes it easier for village office staff to manage data, monitor stunting residents, and make decisions for prevention and treatment. However, there are challenges such as lack of stunting literacy and limited infrastructure. With proper training and central government support, Pertumbukan Village Office employees in Wampu Sub-district are expected to be able to optimally utilize the stunting information system to improve performance in stunting data processing

Abstract

This study develops a web-based guidance and counseling system for high school students, focusing on enhancing previously existing features. One of the key features added is a chat function, which enables direct interaction between students and counselors to improve the effectiveness of guidance and consultation. Additionally, the system includes a student violation tracking feature, aimed at more effectively monitoring and addressing infractions. The research results indicate that this system can enhance the quality of guidance and counseling services in high schools by facilitating better communication and providing optimal support in handling violations. It is hoped that this study can contribute to the development of more effective guidance and counseling support systems within educational environments
