Abstract

This research aims to find out the difference in students' mathematical literacy improvement skills by applying learning using Project Based Learning and conventional learning models. Jenins' research is quantitative research. Quantitative research can be defined as a process of finding knowledge by using data in the form of numbers as a tool to analyze information about what you want to know. The subjects in this study were the entire viib class of SMPN 2 Sumobito Jombang. The sample in this study was class VIIB SMPN 2 Sumobito Jombang consisting of 32 students. The instruments used in this study are pre-tests and post tests. Based on the results of the independent test sample t test obtained a significant value of 0.018<0.05 with a confidence level of 95% which means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. With the sake of the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on students' mathematical literacy skills on the results of students' mathematical learning in the statstika material of presentation of class VII data SMPN 2Sumobito Jombang.

Abstract

One of the prerequisites for students in studying mathematics is to understand integers, both positive and negative integers. But negative integers have significant differences with positive integers. In addition, negative integers are known to have a significant difference with positive integers. Therefore the purpose of this research is to see how students understand negative integers by using a number line. The subjects of this study were class VI students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Hidayah Nganjuk. From this study, it was found that 50% of students described the position of numbers on the number line by sorting them and without writing negative signs. 8% of students describe the position of numbers on the number line with the appropriate concept. 17% of students describe the position of numbers on the number line correctly but ignore the zeros. And as much as 25% of students describe the position of numbers on the number line by only writing positive numbers on the right side.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the feasibility of a diagnostic test instrument that was developed based on expert judgment, validity test, and reliability test. This development research refers to the Borg & Gall model, but is limited to the fifth stage. The steps taken were: research and information collection, planning, developing preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, and revising main product. The instrument prototype was validated by botanist and biology education expert. The prototype that has been validated was then revised and tested on 36 biology education students who have taken a botany courses. Test results were then used to measure the validity and reliability of the instrument. The validity of the instrument was tested with the Pearson Product Moment formula and t test. Instrument reliability was tested with the Spearman-Brown formula. The results of the study revealed that the developed diagnostic test instrument was feasible according to expert judgment. Nine items were valid and reliable, while one item was not valid.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing differences in the mathematical literacy abilities of class VIII students of MTs Salafiyah Syafiiyah Bandung before and after applying the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model. The research method used is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design and uses a quantitative research approach. The subjects of this study were class VIII D MTs Salafiyah Syafiiyah Jombang. The research instruments used were tests and non-tests. The test instruments were pretest and post-test description questions to measure students' mathematical literacy before and after implementing the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Organizing, Learning) learning model. Reflecting, Extending). While the non-test instruments used were interviews with mathematics teachers in class VIII D to find out the implementation of learning carried out in class. The data analysis technique used was hypothesis testing. However, before testing the hypothesis, the data obtained first First, the normality test and homogeneity test were carried out. Based on the calculation of the paired sample t test, it shows that the t value is 13,818 with a significance of 0,000. The significance value shows 0.000 < error level of 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. Acceptance of this Ha means that there are differences in the level of mathematical literacy of class VIII students of MTs Salafiyah Syafiiyah Jombang before and after implementing the CORE learning model.

Abstract

Islamic values integrated Biology online quiz is a media developed through the quizizz online application as a supporting medium for learning biology which aims to provide integrated Islamic plantae material tests. The purposes of this study were to determine the validity of Islamic integrated biology online quizzes according to material experts and learning media experts. The objectives to be achieved are as follows: 1) describe the results of the validation of the Islamic values online integrated biology quiz using the quiz application on the Plantae material, 2) describe the results of the validation of the Islamic integrated biology online quiz using the quiz application on the plantae material according to media experts. This type of research is development research using a 4-D development model. The research instrument used is in the form of validation questionnaires for expert material and learning media. Data analysis techniques in the form of validation of questionnaire results y expert material and learning media. The results showed that online quizzes using Islamic integrated quiz applications had a validity percentage of 80% and learning media of 75%. This shows that Islamic integrated online quizzes can be used as a measure of valid Islamic integrated plantae material and can be used as learning suggestions.

Abstract

It is necessary to identify student learning styles, especially by lecturers, to understand student characteristics before preparing learning plans. This research aims to identify types of learning styles of biology education students at Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah. The method used is a survey with an instrument in the form of a learning style questionnaire. The total population of biology education students is 67 and the respondents who filled out the questionnaire were 48 students. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively. There are five types of learning styles identified from the results of this research, namely visual, auditory, kinesthetic, visual auditory, and visual kinesthetic. The learning style that most students have is auditory, both male and female students. Only female students showed a combination learning style, namely visual auditory and visual kinesthetic.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the influence of learning motivation of class VII students at SMP Al - Furqon before and after implementing the problem based learning model. The research method used was pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design and used a quantitative research approach. . The subject of this research was class VII A of Al-Furqon Middle School. The research instruments used were pre-questionnaires and post-questionnaires as well as test results as supporting data. The questionnaire instrument is in the form of statements regarding pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire learning motivation to measure students' learning motivation before and after implementing the problem based learning model assisted by ethnomathematics learning media which is supported by student test results. The data analysis technique used is hypothesis testing. However, before carrying out a hypothesis test, the data obtained must first be tested for normality. Based on the calculation of the paired sample t test using IBM statistics 29 which shows that the significance value is 0.001. The significance value shows 0.001 < 0.05 error level, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. Acceptance of this Ha means that there is an influence of the problem based learning model assisted by ethnomathematics learning media on social arithmetic material on students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and test a test instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the form of multiple choice questions, as well as analyzing students' higher order thinking abilities and their responses to this instrument. The method used is Research & Development with the Rudi Hari Rayanto and Sugiati development model using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) approach. The research subjects were 20 students of class XI MIPA at MA Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang. The validation results show an average validation rate of 90%, indicating a good match rate. Of the 40 questions developed, all were declared feasible with a calculated r value > r table (0.3291) and a reliability of 1.00 > 0.75, indicating high reliability of the questions. The difficulty of the questions is medium average, with 8 questions having a high level of difficulty. Question distractors were also effective, with the number of students choosing the answer option exceeding 5% of the total number of students. The trial results showed that students' high-level thinking abilities were at medium criteria, and students' responses to this instrument reached 80%, indicating a positive response to its use in learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the test instrument developed is suitable for use in a learning context, contributing to the good measurement of students' higher-level thinking abilities.
