<![CDATA[This research aimed at seeing whether or not the EFL learners had positive perception towards teaching English writing with dictocomp. An experimental research design which mainly concerned on the descriptive analysis was used. Eighteen students were selected purposively as the research sample. A close-ended questionnaire with 15 question items was used as a main instrument to see their feedback. The research findings revealed that the EFL learners’ learning motivation and confidence were exceedingly boosted. In addition, their English writing difficulties were slightly solved. Furthermore, their English writing performance had positive and significant development after being instructed with dictocomp. Another positive response was about the English writings aspects of the EFL learners were also well-improved. Thus, in concluding, the EFL learners had positive perception towards the implementation of dictocomp in English writing classroom.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the utilization of using YouTube video media to improve the English speaking ability of Grade 6 students at Ban Kaengsriphoom school, Thailand. The method used in this study is mixed method research with explanatory design type. The researcher collected quantitative data by distributing questionnaires to 20 students first and then implemented qualitative data by conducting interviews with 3 students to add more in-depth results. Researchers analyzed the data obtained from the questionnaire analyzed using Likert scale calculations with the frequency of answers given by students expressed in percentage form and then conducted interviews. From the results of quantitative and qualitative analysis, it is known that most students feel happy using YouTube media in learning English. YouTube videos can improve students' speaking skills. Furthermore, students gave positive responses during data collection. Choosing interesting learning media can facilitate students in learning and increase student motivation because YouTube presents a combination of images, animations, text, and sound making students enthusiastic in learning English, especially in speaking skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract The purpose of this research is to get the impact of weblogs on English essay writing skills. This study used a quasi-experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test experimental design. The sample in this study were students of the English Program at BSI University, Jakarta. 50 students participated in the research process. The treatment process was carried out in 14 meetings and before treatment students were given a pre-test and after treatment, students received a post-test. Data was collected using documentation taken from the results of students' English essay writing tests. The data analysis technique uses a two-sample paired t-test for the mean. The results of the study concluded that the results of the t-test showed t-Stat < t-table (-32.4678 < 2.0095), meaning that weblogs have a good level of effectiveness in improving the ability to write English essays. Students understand the steps for developing essay writing well. The results of this study have implications for understanding the concept of using multimedia technology for students to write English essays which can lead to easy access anywhere and anytime.]]>

<![CDATA[ Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of fiction novel texts in improving students' English reading comprehension skills. This study used an experimental approach using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample of this research was postgraduate students of the English Education Study Program, at Indraprastha University, Jakarta. There were 50 students involved in the research process. The process of collecting data using tests and observations. The data that has been obtained will be tested for its normality level using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the data homogeneity test using the Analysis of Variance test with a confidence level = 0.05. Data that has been declared normal and homogeneous is then processed using a two-sample paired t-test for the average. The results showed that t stat < t-table (-28.767 < 2.0638). This means that novel texts have a positive influence on students' English reading comprehension and that for literal, inferential and critical understanding. This finding has implications for lecturers that the learning resources provided by the problems faced can have a good impact on student learning outcomes.]]>

<![CDATA[ The aims of this article was to know the effectiveness of choral reading method toward studentsreading comprehension. In this study, the researchers used quantitative research in the form ofquasi-experimental design by testing the pre-test and post-test. The samples were taken fromclass 9a and class 9b. The treatment was conducted for 3 meetings. The population of this studywere 9th grade students at SMP Plus Nurul Islam. Collecting the data used multiple choicequestions as an instrument. After the treatment, the instrument was used for pre-test and posttest. After being given the pre-test and post-test, the researchers used the SPSS to computeindependent T-test. In this study, researchers used quantitative research. Researchers used aquasi-experimental design by testing the pre-test and post-test. The result showed that choralreading method was effective toword students' reading comprehension at ninth grade of SMPPlus Nurul Islam. It can be seen from Sig. (2-tailed) of the equal variance assumed in theIndependent Samples test table where the Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.004. It is lower than α = 0.05 and itmeans that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.]]>

<![CDATA[ Learning media is significantly required for English learners to reinforce the subject that they studied and to facilitate learning, especially in learning to speak. The mastery of speaking skill became the main goal, so learning speaking needs learning media. This research aims to develop a Monopoly game to teach speaking skills at the senior high school level. To reach that goal, R&D with ADDIE’s model was used the data of the research was used observation, interview, and questionnaire. After the Monopoly game was developed it was validated by media and material validator. The result of material validation obtained 90,6% which means that strongly valid, the result of media validation obtained 82,5% which means that strongly valid, and the result of the student’s satisfaction questionnaire obtained 82,6% which means that strongly valid on the trial process. Based on the material validation, media validation, and students satisfaction questionnaire it can be concluded that developed speaking skills by using the Monopoly game which can be an appropriate media to teach speaking skills in English learning.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to develop an English book for X TKR of Vocational High School by implementing an Independent curriculum. Base on the result of need analysis with students and interviews with English teacher, the researchers find the problem that SMK Darul Huda Blitar implementing independent curriculum but do not have patent materials for learning English using the independent curriculum. The product was created using the R&D approach with five stages of ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In this study, the research instruments and data sources were from need analysis questionnaire, interview guidelines, and student satisfaction questionnaire. The results of research show that English learning books accompanied by illustrations, a little material and equipped with practice can increase understanding and enthusiasm in lessons. Based on the results of a student satisfaction questionnaire filled out by 19 students after using English books for contextual purposes, the score reached 96%, which means this media is very good for use in increasing interest and understanding in English lessons.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of the study is to determine processes. and outcomes of using mind mapping to teach English speaking skills for explaining text content in MA Ma'arif Ponggok eleventh grade. Students study a variety of topics at school, including languages. English is one of the languages that students learn at school. The utilization of media is one of the most effective strategies to aid student learning. The ADDIE paradigm is used in this form of study, known as study and Development (R&D). Data for this research were collected by observation, interviews, and a questionnaire. The researcher obtains a score for validating instruments, media, and materials. The instrument validation score is 82.5%, which means "valid," the score for media expert validation is 90%, which means "very valid," and the score for material expert validation is 87.5%, which indicates "very valid." Aside from that, the students' replies to the media received a score of 79.65%, which signifies "very valid".]]>

<![CDATA[ One of the important skills in English is speaking, because speaking English makes it easier to practice and interact directly. The focus of this research is students' pronunciation of English vocabulary. Based on observations at Mambaul Jadid Vocational School, students’ have trouble in learning English because the module is still LKS-based and the teacher's explanation. Therefore, developing interesting additional media is a must for students not to get bored in learning English. The media game SOS is a game developed by researchers using a specific objective to practice pronunciation in English. Media development uses the RnD Model (Research and Development) and the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The media design is made with a user guide that makes it easy for players. The game media has been validated previously and obtained a final score of 98% in the very valid category. Students as respondents gave their opinion about game media through a questionnaire. The final score of the questionnaire was 89% in the "very good" category. These results indicate that the SOS game media has been made interesting and can be understood in playing it. Based on this research, game media for grade 10 vocational schools can be used in the learning process in class as additional media.]]>

<![CDATA[The research intends to examine the effectiveness of SEEY android-based game, an offline English grammar learning application. The research objectives were to discover the strength of the significant value of the effect of SEEY android-based games towards students’ English grammar competence. The grammar material focus on three tenses; simple present, present progressive, and simple past. Applied quasi-experiment as research design with pre-post (test) control group design. The participants were students of the second grade of SMP Negeri 01 Garum. An experimental group was treated by applying SEEY android-based game. A control group was treated by applying the conventional method. The two groups take pretest and posttest to obtain the data. After that the data was analyzed and collected by SPSS application applied t-test formula. The outcomes of the t-test indicated a significance value (0,00) which has less than (0,05). According to the experimental group’s mean score (89,28) was greater than the control group’s (79,16). It was proven that SEEY android-based game as learning media has a significant effect on students’ grammar achievement]]>
