Abstract

Pascal's Law is one of the materials students must master in learning science. 36% of students' learning outcomes on Pascal's law did not reach the KKM, namely 71. So, there is a need for efforts to increase understanding of Pascal's law concepts, one of which is to develop learning multimedia. This study aims to produce an interactive multimedia website with a problem based learning model on Pascal's law material. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Dick, Carey, & Carey development model. This research and development resulted in the product "Mobil Pascal 8". The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 9 Simpang Hilir with 40 class VIII students as research subjects. In this study involved 9 validators, design experts, media, and materials. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. From the results of data analysis (in the range of values 1-5) this interactive multimedia website is declared "valid". Thus the analysis of empirical test data with individual test procedures, small groups, and field tests on 28 students, shows "very happy" using interactive multimedia websites with an average of 91.29%. As for the effectiveness test of the multimedia website, with the criteria of students' attitudes towards the multimedia website, and the pre-test and post-test scores involving 28 students it turned out that there was a significant difference with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Sig value (2- tailed) < 0.05, it is declared valid and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there are differences in students' critical thinking abilities using STEAM-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) in science learning at SMP Negeri 14 Bengkulu City. The population of this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 14 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling with a total sampling of 62 people from 2 classes consisting of 32 students in class VIII.2 and 30 students in class III.4. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. Data collection was carried out using an essay test to measure critical thinking abilities. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test. The research results show that 1) there are differences in critical thinking abilities using the STEAM-based PBL learning model. Judging from the ANOVA test where a significant value of 0.000 was obtained, it can be concluded that sig <0.05. 2) STEAM-based PjBL learning is more effective in improving students' critical thinking skills compared to conventional ones. Judging from the ANOVA test value, it obtained a significant value of 0.000, so it can be concluded that sig < 0.05 on the BNT test obtained a value of 0.132 > 0.05.

Abstract

The Indonesian language learning paradigm shifted after the Covid-19 outbreak. The lack of learning media that can handle all learning material and instructors' poor mastery of technology both contribute to this problem. Building a web-based learning platform using Google Sites and the data from the Observation Report Text is one solution to this problem. The study's goals are to create a procedure for developing learning media on a web platform, to establish whether or not such media is feasible, and to identify the variables enabling and limiting the use of Google Sites. R&D (Research & Development) development principles and the ADDIE model inform the study's methodology. Twenty-one kids were randomly selected from Grade X at IPS SMA Pelita Cemerlang Pontianak. Methods of gathering information include keeping records, conducting surveys, and keeping careful notes. The media professionals who checked out https://sites.google.com/bindoxpelitacemerlang gave it an 82.44%. The validation by subject matter experts is at 96.97%, while the validation by end users is at 88.9%; both scores place the material in the 'Very Eligible' category. Black-box testing tools, stress testing, installation/lauch testing, alpha testing, and 'passing' beta testing are used to determine Google Sites' viability. High accessibility, students' ability to study independently, opening links, dynamic time, extra learning resources, information search columns, and readily updatable content and materials are all reasons to use Google Sites. There are several limitations, such as a lack of personalization, the need for an active internet connection, concerns about privacy and security, and the presence of broken connections.
