Through a qualitative approach, this research was conducted at Al-Furqon Junior High School Bondowoso. The results showed that there are several models of increasing teacher pedagogic competence that had been implemented. The model for increasing teacher pedagogic competence includes training and workshops, coaching and mentoring, reflection and self-assessment, development of learning materials, observation and collaboration between teachers, access to educational resources, recognition, and appreciation, as well as supervision and feedback. In this context, principal leadership played an important role in facilitating the implementation of these strategies, ensuring their effective implementation, and creating an environment that supported the development of teacher pedagogical competencies.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research. This research aims to look at students' science process skills using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in terms of student motivation. This research was conducted at Potenti Utama University with the research sample being Industrial Engineering students in class A and B odd semester FY 2023 – 2024. The results of this research arelearning using the PjBL learning model has an average difference value of 27.90, while in the control class it is 12.37. This shows that there is an increase in students' Science Process Skills in the experimental class compared to the control class. The difference in Science Process Skills of students in the experimental class is 29.00 for classes with low learning motivation and 43.00 for high learning motivation. Meanwhile, the control class for students' Science Process Skills was 23.00 for students with low learning motivation, and 39.00 for students with high learning motivation. This shows that there is a relationship between student learning motivation and Science Process Skills. Based on the test results using SPSS, it can be seen that the F-count value is 4.86. The calculated F result obtained compared with the F table at N = 38 is 4.10 with a significance level of 0.05. The calculated F results obtained are greater than the F table (4.86 > 4.10). Thus it can be concluded that it is accepted and rejected. So it can be said that there is a significant influence of the PjBL learning model on science process skills (KPS).

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the learning process does not yet emphasize training indicators of critical thinking skills and meeting the Civics learning objectives set out in the curriculum. An effort to overcome this problem is by implementing an innovative learning model called PROJECT in Civics learning. This learning model is a combination of the Problem-Based Learning, Jigsaw, and Make-A-Match learning models. This study aims to analyze the increase in activity and critical thinking skills after using the PROJECT learning model. This research applies Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in three meetings with stages consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The object of this research was 8 students in fourth class SDN Simpang Empat 4, Banjar Regency. The results of this research showed that students who obtained the criteria were very active at meeting 1 with a percentage of 37, 5%, this result continued to increase until the final meeting reached a percentage of 87.5%. Students who obtained the criteria for highly skilled critical thinking at meeting 1 with a percentage of 37.5%, this result continued to increase with each meeting until at the last meeting it reached a percentage of 87.5%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of the PROJECT model can increase students' activities and critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the advantages and challenges of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model in developing higher-order thinking skills among students. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. This research analyzes search results originating from the Scopus, Erics, and Google Scholar databases, spanning the last 10 years. The limitation of this research is that the articles used consist of a period of 10 years. It is hoped that in future research the data can be further improved. Based on the article data that was searched, 10 articles were taken which were used as study material. The results of the analysis of the review of this article can draw conclusions and findings that the learning model (PjBL) has the following advantages: 1) can increase student motivation and involvement in the learning process, 2) develop real skills, 3) increase learning outcomes and collaboration and communication skills, critical thinking, and creative thinking; 4) active and student-centered learning. Meanwhile, the weaknesses of the Project Learning Model (PJBL) are: 1) implementing PjBL the teacher must prepare a project that will be used in learning so it requires a lot of time; 2) This PjBL requires complete facilities to be implemented well so several schools have limited resources; 3) in implementing PjBL, it is difficult to involve all students in group work because not all students are active; 4) the costs of implementing PjBL require a lot of money so the use of this PjBL learning model needs to be considered.
