Abstract

ABSTRAK Dari penelitian terdahulu (Supurwoko, 2004) diketahui bahwa citra tomografi dapat diperoleh dengan menyelesaikan masalah invers. Namun demikian tampang lintang obyek yang dihasilkan mengalami pengaburan pada sisi citranya, terutama jika menggunakan berkas sinar – X sejajar. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengolahan citra agar citra yang dihasilkan semakin baik dan pengaburan yang menyebabkan kesalahan analisis dapat dihilangkan.Pada penelitian ini pengolahan citra yang digunakan adalah deteksi sisi dengan gradien arah. Sedangkan byek ujinya mempunyai tampang lintang berbentuk“+” dan “H” dengan jumlah proyeksi 4 untuk berkas X sejajar. Data proyeksi dilakukan secara simulasi dengan memanfaatkan sifat linieritas interaksi antara bahan dengan sunar X. Semua proses data dan pengolahannya dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman C dengan kompiler Borland C++ versi 5.Dari citra hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa deteksi sisi dengan gradien arah dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi sisi – sisi citra tomografi dengan baik meskipun belum sempurna. Dengan demikian, deteksi sisi dengan operator laplace ini merupakan proses pengolahan citra yang sebaiknya digunakan untuk menganalisa citra tomografi. Kata  kunci :    berkas sejajar, citra rekonstruksi, deteksi sisi, operator laplace.

Abstract

Teachers need to know deeper about learning style and how to facilitate students’ needs in learning in order to stimulate students’ thinking skill which might affect students’ cognitive learning outcome. Teachers can facilitate students’ learning style and needs by designing teaching instruments which develop students’ thinking skill. This current study focused on male students whose learning outcome was considered low compared to female students based on previous studies. Because of this male students’ characteristic, this study employed TPS learning model which is believed be able to facilitate the students’ characteristics and learning style. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Think, Pair, and Share (TPS) learning model to cognitive learning outcome of Biology toward the XI grade of male high school students majoring natural science (IPA). The participants of this study consisted of 22 male students from IPA on the state high schools in Banjarmasin. This study employed quasi-experimental design by using “nonequivalent pretest-post test control group design” model. Regarding limited number of the male students in the natural science classes, this study involved four classes. The control class was from XI IPA 2 of SMAN 10 and XI IPA 4 SMAN 13 Banjarmasin with totally 11 students. Meanwhile, the experimental class was from XI IPA 3 of SMAN 12 and XI IPA 3 SMAN 13 with 11 students as well. The data were obtained by using an essay test and the scoring rubric which was referred to Hart with interval 0–4. Then, they were analyzed using one way Anova through SPSS 17.0 for Windows. The homogeneity and the normality tests were done as the pre-requirement. The result of this study showed that TPS learning model affected the male students’ learning outcome. The finding revealed that TPS is potential for improving male students’ learning outcome. The data also support the findings of previous studies related to male students’ academic achievement.Keywords:        TPS, Cognitive learning outcome, Male students

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kadar gula dalam setiap varietas tanaman stroberi, mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik terhadap kadar gula  buah stroberi, mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik terhadap produksi buah stroberi pada setiap varietas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun stroberi Kalisoro Tawangmangu dan laboratorium Sub Lab pusat untuk memeriksa kadar gula. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi: kadar gula dari setiap varietas  buah stroberi, produksi buah. Penghitungan parameter utama dilakukan setelah buah tanaman stroberi berumur 2 minggu. Parameter yang diukur adalah kadar gula buah stroberi hasil dari panen pertama dengan menggunakan refraktometer. Parameter pendukung yang juga diamati adalah pertumbuhan tanaman stroberi yaitu: tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun setelah tanaman berumur satu bulan, dua bulan, tiga bulan dan empat bulan; umur berbunga; umur berbuah. Pada hasil penelitian didapat bahwa setiap varietas mempunyai kadar gula yang berbeda,  ini disebabkan faktor pembawa sifat yang dapat diwariskan itu berbeda pada tiap tanaman. Kadar gula tertinggi dimiliki oleh varietas tristar, Pupuk kandang kambing memberikan pengaruh terbesar terhadap kadar gula buah tanaman stroberi (Fragraria x ananassa Var. Duchence). Interaksi antara pemberian pupuk kandang kambing pada varietas tristar mempunyai pengaruh terbesar terhadap kadar gula buah stroberi. Kata kunci: varietas stroberi, kadar gula, pupuk organik

Abstract

Biology Learning Strategies is an important subject that is constitute the competence of biology teachers candidate student, particularly pedagogy competence. This study aims to describe the biology teachers candidate student’s learning strategy, problems encountered, and the chosen learning solution in Biology Learning Strategy subjects. This explorative survey conducted in March-April In 2016. The study involved 176 participants. The participants are students of 4th semester biology teacher candidates who have been to take a course Biology Learning Strategies. Data were collected using a semi-open and open questionnaire. Analysis of data using qualitative data analysis model of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The study concluded that most of students learn Biology Learning Strategies subject by understanding that as much as 54.1%, memorizing and understanding as much as 36.4%, just memorizing as much as 5.1%, and others as 45%. Problems experienced by students in learning Biology Learning Strategies subject include discomfort during a rowdy class, the ability to understand, lack of confidence when the practice is conducted, the ability to define a strategy or apply the material in the practice, as well as the difficulty to memorize. How to overcome the problems in learning Biology Learning Strategies subject quite diverse among others by asking questions, discussions with friends and the lecturer, relearn the material, looking for references from the book and internet and frequent teaching practice.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Berbasis ICT Pada Mata Kuliah Ekofisiologi Melalui  ‘Lesson Study’   Ekofisiologi merupakan salah satu Mata Kuliah Kompetensi Utama yang wajib diprogram mahasiswa Prodi Biologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Lesson Study, dan dilakukan pada mahasiswa Prodi Biologi Angkatan 2007. Tujuan Lesson Study Berbasis Jurusan (LSBJ)  pada mata kuliah Ekofisiologi adalah  (1)  Meningkatkan kualitas mengajar dosen pengampu mata kuliah Ekofisiologi. (2)  Mendeskripsikan proses perkuliahan Ekofisiologi pada materi adaptasi hewan terhadap lingkungan Ekstrim dan Hibernasi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis ICT. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Kualitas mengajar dosen dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis ICT  meningkat. (2) Penyampaian materi pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis ICT dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif berhasil dengan baik, karena semua mahasiswa merespon positif.   Key words : model pembelajaran kooperatif, berbasis ICT, lesson study.

Abstract

This research study aims to know the effectiveness of portfolio assessment in microbiology course on students’ self-regulated and learning outcome. This research was the experimental research of the pretes-posttest group design. The sample was 44 students of Nondik Biologi 2013. Self-regulated questionnaire and learning outcome test were used to measure self-regulated and learning outcome of students. Data were analyzed by using independent sample t-test with SPSS statistics 21 program. The results show that: (1) Students’ self regulated learning that assessed by portfolio bigger than assessed by paper test (tcount=3,105, p<0,05), the average score of students’ regulated learning on experimental class (score 81) > students on control class (score 76); (2) Students’ learning outcome that assessed by portfolio higher than assessed by paper test (tcount=2,861, p<0,05), the average score of students’ learning outcome on experimental class (score 86) > students on control class (score 80); (3) Effect size portofolio assessment application on students’ self regulated and learning outcome is  93% dan 81%, for each. This study conclude that portfolio assessment application effective on students’ self regulated and learning outcome in experimental microbiology, State University of Medan.Key Word         : Portfolio assessment, microbiology, students’ regulated and learning outcome

Abstract

Air bersih dan sanitasi merupakan kebutuhan penting pada saat terjadi bencana banjir, namun banjir menyebabkan kesulitan pemenuhan air bersih bagi pengungsi sehingga  mengakibatkan munculnya berbagai macam penyakit seperti diare, muntaber  ataupun penyakit kulit dan gatal-gatal, sehingga diperlukan konsep penanganan air bersih pada bencana banjir. Penelitian ini dilakukan di daerah rawan banjir di Kelurahan Wonosari Kecamatan Ngaliyan Kota Semarang. Tujuan penelitian yaitu melakukan identifikasi  tingkat manfaat penggunaan sumber air bersih  alternatif bagi pengungsi banjir dengan sasaran penelitian mendapatkan informasi  tentang pengadaan sumber air bersih  alternatif oleh pengungsi banjir  Kelurahan Wonosari yaitu dari sumber alami non perusahaan daerah air minum (non PDAM). Pemanfaatan sumber alami non PDAM  dilakukan  karena keterbatasan kemampuan Pemerintah Kota Semarang  dalam menyediakan akses kebutuhan air bersih  melalui PDAM. Sumber air bersih pengungsi korban banjir di Kelurahan Wonosari dapat diperoleh dari mengelola air melalui Pemanenan Air Hujan (PAH) secara individu. Alternatif lain dengan sistem  pengolahan   mobile  yang dapat melayani kelompok lebih besar. Alternatif  ini  diusulkan melalui Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kota Semarang sebagai dasar penempatan tenda pengungsi untuk kesiapsiagaan terhadap banjir yang mungkin terjadi lagi.  Kata Kunci: Sumber Air Alternatif,  Banjir, Pengungsi, Pemanenan Air Hujan

Abstract

Indonesia has the potential huge vegetable in the production of organic insecticide. In many areas still needed assistance to the farmer groups to produce and use organic insecticide. The objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of assistance in the production and use of organic insecticides  in Farmers Group Sumber Urip Malang. The design study is cross sectional. Assistance performed 10 times in the production and use of organic insecticides involving 10 Farmers Group Sumber Urip I and 10 Farmers Group Sumber Urip II. Before the assistance do is the pretest and after the assistance do is posttest to knowing the knowledge and skills in the production and use of organic insecticides. Data collection method used was a questionnaire, observation, and interviews, while the method of data analysis used is the paired t-test. The results showed that; 1) there is a significant difference of knowledge production of organic insecticide before and after assistance (t-hit> t-tab0,01, 7.259 > 2.861), 2) there are significant differences of organic insecticide production skills before and after assistance (t-hit > t-tab0,01, 10.057 > 2.861), 3) there are significant differences knowledge of the use of organic insecticides before and after assistance (t-hit > t-tab0,01, 8.731 > 2.861), and 4) there are differences significant organic insecticide usage skills before and after assistance (t-hit > t-tab0,01, 8.028 > 2.861). From the results of such research can be summed up the results of research that effective assistance to increase skills and knowledge production and use of organic insecticides.

Abstract

Minyak esensial dari tumbuhan telah banyak digunakan sebagai repelen serangga, salah satu minyak esensial tersebut berasal dari ekstrak sereh wangi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tingkat repelensi ekstrak sereh wangi terhadap beberapa strain kecoak jerman. Metoda yang digunakan adalah Tarsal Contact Test dengan rancangan acak lengkap dengan strain kecoak sebagai perlakuan. Kecoak yang digunakan adalah kecoak jantan strain standar (VCRU-WHO) dan strain lapangan (HHB-JKT, PLZ-PDG dan KRS-BDG) yang dikoleksi dari beberapa tempat berbeda di Indonesia. Repelensi berkisar antara 82-93% setelah jam ke-6 dan 57-84% pada jam ke-24. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antar strain kecoak pada taraf 5%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sereh wangi bersifat repelen terhadap kecoak jerman..
