The process of character education based on local culture is a process that gives an individual the ability to give meaning toward his/herself and his/her environment. Aim: The researchers would like to analyze character education’s dialectics based on art and culture in the approach of cultural studies. Method: Literature studies related to character education studies based on local culture in Minangkabau were carried out through written and oral sources or primary and secondary sources. Qualitative methods with a multidisciplinary approach were used. Field data collection was managed in an 'etic' and 'emic' manner. The data were then analyzed using Miles and Huberman techniques. Findings: The attitude of West Sumatera government that launches the program of "back to nagari (village) and back to surau” is a proper space to rebuild an old culture that is still relevant and is developed in the society toward modern culture. Islamic culture that initially evolves in the surau should be able to be developed with bringing religious mission. The art of local people that lives and evolves in sasaran is also resurrected with bringing the mission of Minangkabau customs.

Methods: The sample consisted of 95 Treasury officials of the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR spread across work units and centers in 38 provinces in Indonesia. Findings: The findings and results of this study empirically show that user satisfaction with the OM-SPAN application is influenced by several factors, namely the information quality and system quality of the OM-SPAN application. The results of this study also concluded that user satisfaction with the OM-SPAN application has a positive effect on organizational performance. The findings and results of this study also make it clear that no empirical evidence explains the effect of service quality and trust as determinants of OM-SPAN application user satisfaction.

Abstract

Background: The refugee crisis have been an international concern as it is considered a multidimensional threat to security issues, both national and human security. States increased the level of protection that aims ‘to maintain and to protect’ their borders on behalf of sovereignty. On the other hand, refugees have the right ‘to seek and to enjoy’ asylum from persecution in other countries. In this context, refugee crisis implies the paradigm clash between national security and human security. The Global Compact on Refugees (GCR) is presented as the product of a “States Plus” approach to multilateralism that brought together several states, other stakeholders, and refugees to solve the dilemma above with the principle of burden and responsibility-sharing. Aim: This article analyzes the legal mechanism that impacts the financial resources and fulfilment of the GCR objectives. Method: The researcher combined a qualitative approach with a methodology for conducting a literature review. The majority of the articles and other sources used to compile the study's data were books and academic publications that examined relevant subjects. Findings: Previously, refugee handling in the global refugee regime (1951 Convention and 1967 Protocol) tended to be state-centred. In contrast, GCR tends to be people-centred and comes from the refugee crisis realities (bottom-up). However, from the implementation aspect, there is a significant gap between the targets made in the Global Refugee Forum and its achievements. This discourse was dominated by a traditional state security perspective, while the humanitarian language emerged only in design framework of GCR.

Abstract

Background: Aerobic exercise is indicated to be able to trigger an increase in antioxidant enzyme activity in the human body, which is one indicator of an increase in antioxidant enzyme activity marked by an increase in blood plasma Superoxide dismutase (SOD). Aim: This study aims to examine and analyze the magnitude of the increase in SOD due to aerobic exercise for 8 weeks. Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach and a one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were students of the Department of Sports Coaching, State University of Malang, aged 19-20 years, with a normal Body Mass Index (BMI). The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a total sample of 20 students. Data was collected by measuring blood plasma SOD activity as an indicator of antioxidant enzyme. SOD measurements were carried out before and after the aerobic exercise treatment. Aerobic exercise is carried out with a frequency of 3 times per week, with moderate intensity, for 8 weeks. Data Analysis using t-test in pairs (? = 0.05). Findings: The results showed that the mean and standard deviation of the SOD pretest were 22.68 ± 2.62 U/ml and posttest 29.05 ± 1.44 U/ml, there is an average increase in SOD activity plasma by 21.9% (p=0.021 <0.05).

Refinitiv Eikon ESG rating is adopted in this paper to measure ESG performance while ownership structure is measured in three aspects, which include ownership concentration, equity balances, and institutional investor shareholding. Findings: The research found that (1) ESG performance has negative and significant relation to both market-based and accounting-based firm performances, (2) ownership concentration has no significant moderating role on ESG – firm performance relationship, (3) equity balance is only significant in moderating ESG relationship to Tobin’s Q, meanwhile (4) institutional ownership is found statistically significant in moderating the ESG relationship to Tobin’s Q and ROE but not to ROA.
