The uneven distribution of superior human resources, which alienates some communities and contributes to the issue of business management literacy in SMEs, is one of the obstacles to community development. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of community empowerment through literacy-based entrepreneurship management training. With a sample of 98 participants, this study use participatory action research (PAR). To select training participants, sampling method is purposive sampling with the criteria used: (1) Indonesian Manpower (TKI) who no longer work abroad; (2) Existing micro or small business owners; and (3) Trainees who have been mentored for at least one year. Methods of question and answer, observation, or questionnaires are used to obtain the data including focus group discussion (FGD), in-depth interviews, and strategies for exchanging stories, and pretest and post-test; behavioral analysis and participatory assessment analysis using percentages and likert scales; and data analysis of training success. This study is new because it explores specifically how to organize, execute, and value manufacturing innovation, inventive marketing, financial management, administrative control, financial reporting, teamwork, and business networking. It was determined that this training is helpful in increasing participants' awareness to fall into the very good category and increasing their knowledge and abilities. This finding is consistent with the notion of resource mobilization in support of human empowerment and human resource development theory, which argues that training is a process of improvement to deal with dynamic change. Government organizations can use this information to improve training programs to increase community engagement.

Abstract

The current weakness of various dimensions of service quality measurement scales that have been adopted in measuring the level of student service satisfaction at HE is often an obstacle to understanding weaknesses in the quality of HE service. This study aims to investigate the level of student service satisfaction based on the HEISQUAL synthesis combined with the ACSI, IPA, and PGCV methods as a holistic approach to determine priorities for continuous improvement. The integration of these three methods is very appropriate to answer the needs of HE in improving the quality of its services. The data in this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents with a sample size of 320 students using a convenience sampling technique (non-probability sampling). The results of this study indicate that HE service satisfaction is in the satisfied criteria, where 6 sub-dimensions are in quadrant A, 5 sub-dimensions are in quadrant B, 1 sub-dimension is in quadrant C, and 4 sub-dimensions are in quadrant D. From this analysis, the priority order of improvement are 1) ET, 2) LWE, 3) LF, 4) ECA, 5) C&M, 6) BTS. Through the HEISQUAL – ACSI – IPA – PGCV synthesis, HE can understand and determine well-accelerated strategic and practical policies.

Abstract

This study intends to observe and investigate the increased activity of Muslim women (housewives) as entrepreneurs, the influence of women entrepreneurs on the family economy, and community (NGo) contributions to empowering women, mentorship, education, and expanding capacities. In a qualitative study employing a phenomenological approach, information was gathered by observing and interviewing six members of the empowerment community (two of whom were the initial initiators) and five women (housewives). Meanwhile, documentation studies are optimized in order to deepen the data analysis outcomes. Data from primary sources were evaluated and validated using triangulation techniques. The results reveal that, first and foremost, entrepreneurship is a new economic activity for Muslim women (housewives). Second, women entrepreneurs working together in a culinary tourism destination have a favorable impact on the family's economic well-being. Third, the community's presence (NGo) in developing women entrepreneurs' knowledge, capacities, and competencies in the notion of empowerment is the foundation for the transformation of women into entrepreneurs. The Payungi community serves as a role model for empowerment by optimizing the existence of a religious space, the Entrepreneurial Pesantren, as a space for women's education. The empowerment process pushes women to continuously develop their capabilities, such as optimizing social media, smartphone applications, and product branding content. This study requires additional research in order to acquire more comprehensive results by taking into account the opinions of academia, the media, and the greater business. This research becomes a proposal for government institutions and non-governmental organizations, which is empowering or want to empower.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the condition of financial system stability in Indonesia both before and during the Covid-19 pandemic and to look at its relationship with economic growth. This study develops six sub-sector groups described in 19 indicators in order to assess the condition of the financial system. Quarterly data for 6.5 years from Quarter I 2016 to Quarter II 2022 was evaluated. To assess the condition of the financial system, this study uses a composite index approach with the normalized max-min method. The correlation analysis method is used to assess the relationship between the index of financial system conditions and economic growth. The results showed that during the pandemic, there was a more significant increase in pressure on financial conditions than before the pandemic. The financial system instability index during the pandemic in the second quarter of 2020 was 3 times higher than the average and more than 5 times higher than the same quarter in 2019. In addition, the relationship between the financial condition index and economic growth is at 0.77 (strong category). The implication is this research can provide insight to the government, financial institutions, and the public regarding the condition of financial system stability before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research suggests that the government should control credit restructuring policies during the pandemic and strengthen financial institutions. This research has limitations in terms of objects that only include conventional financial institutions. Further studies can use other objects such as Islamic financial institutions.

Abstract

Growing Muslim fashion trends drive diverse demands. Business must cater to varied preferences, offering a range of styles to suit consumer wishes in the expanding Muslim fashion industry. This study conducted in Semarang City, Central Java, Indonesia involved 150 respondents and employed SmartPLS to test the interplay of fashion involvement, positive emotion, and impulsive buying. Contrary to expectations, a direct link between fashion involvement and impulsive buying was not significant. However, positive emotions emerged as a crucial mediator, indicating that emotional experiences play a pivotal role in shaping impulsive buying behaviors, especially within Muslim fashion. This research contributes novel insights by uncovering the nuanced relationship between fashion involvement and impulsive buying, highlighting the significant mediating role of positive emotions. It enriches the broader understanding of consumer behavior in the context of the Muslim fashion industry, offering valuable psychological perspectives for consumer management. The absence of a significant direct effect prompts exploration into moderating variables, such as cultural and religious factors within the Muslim community. Concerns about self-reported data and response bias suggest avenues for further refinement in future studies. The study enriches existing theories by emphasizing the intricate interplay between fashion involvement, positive emotions, and impulsive buying.
