Abstract

The health sector is the main focus of the government. Hospitals as public institutions in the field of health services have great potential to be integrated with information technology. Human resource management in hospitals faces the challenges of task complexity and high job demands. Monitoring HR performance can be done manually or by an application system, but some hospitals still use manual methods. Kediri Regency Hospital (RSKK) is a type B hospital with 925 employees, where the performance monitoring of Non-ASN employees is still manual. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause the suboptimal digital recording as a tool to monitor human resource performance at RSKK. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Triangulation of sources is used to check the validity of the data. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on research findings. The results of this community service activity show that RSKK already has SIMPEG, but it is not optimal with manual non-ASN performance recording. and found 3 problems that need to be considered, namely: There is no workflow and procedures related to digital recording of health HR performance, policies and regulations related to the use of the system have not been optimal, and monitoring and evaluation of health HR performance is not optimal. Problem-solving interventions are needed through SWOT analysis. The SO strategy in the I-Aggressive Strategy quadrant was applied, resulting in a final score of SW 1.61 and O-T 1.72. This condition shows the great strength and opportunity for optimizing digital recording as a tool for monitoring human resource performance.

Abstract

The demand for songket cloth has increased since the regulation on the use of traditional clothing in every government agency on certain days. The increasing need for songket cloth has encouraged people who make a living as cloth weavers in Bandar Khalipah Village to produce songket cloth with various colour variants. However, most of the songket fabrics produced use synthetic dyes that have a negative impact on the environment and human health. Therefore, the weaving community needs to get education related to the use of natural materials as yarn dyes to support the production of songket fabrics that are environmentally friendly and of high selling value. Therefore, the community service team is interested in conducting community service to the Songket Fabric weavers of Bandar Khalipah Village by providing skills training on making natural fabric dye paste preparations. Community service activities carried out at the Malay Weaving Joint Business Group in Bandar Khalipah, Deli Serdang in the form of providing education related to natural dyes and production techniques for dye paste preparations from turmeric rhizomes and merbau wood. In addition, materials on business management and product marketing were also provided. This activity ended with a survey and hedonic test of the product. This is also intended to help songket cloth weavers get natural dye preparations that are stable and easy to use. Furthermore, it is hoped that partners can create more creative songket fabric products using natural dyes. The results of the survey analysis showed that the service activities provided an increase from 44% to 88% of the participants' knowledge related to the activity material.

Stunting is a condition where a child's body is lower than the average child of the same age due to nutritional deficiencies starting from the fetus or the child is growing. The lack of ability of parents to buy nutritious food during pregnancy and when the child is growing, along with the low education of the mother, the baby does not receive exclusive breastfeeding and the baby is born with a low birth weight are factors that cause children to experience stunting. The effect of stunting on the child's future is in the form of the child's physical appearance which looks shorter than children of the same age and the occurrence of cognitive, physical, language and sensory motor disorders. In Pidie Regency in the period of July 2022, there were 1,336 cases of stunting. The number of stunting cases in Pidie Jaya Regency was 37.8% and the number of health centers with the highest stunting rates was the Bandar Dua Health Center, namely in Uteun Baya Village. Abstract

The use of soap is one of the most effective ways to protect the skin from bacterial infections and prevent skin diseases. Soap, whether in solid or liquid form, functions to cleanse the skin of dirt, oil, and bacteria. Untreated bacterial infections can cause inflammation in tissues or organs, disrupt organ function, and weaken the immune system. This community service program aimed to enhance public knowledge about hygiene, health, and the potential benefits of betel leaves (Piper betle L.), while also improving the skills and creativity of housewives in processing natural ingredients into environmentally friendly herbal soap products. Additionally, the program sought to broaden participants’ understanding of entrepreneurship, including business planning, marketing, and product management. The program was conducted from July to October 2024, involving 15 non-working housewives in Lampulo Village. Activities included educational sessions and practical training on making betel leaf-based herbal soap. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in utilizing natural ingredients to create value-added and eco-friendly herbal products. This program not only provided direct benefits in the form of useful products but also contributed to improving the community’s quality of life by empowering knowledge, practical skills, and raising awareness of health and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to address the challenges of implementing innovative technology-based learning at Ar-Rahman High School and Vocational High School in Medan. Initial observations identified the dominance of conventional teaching methods impacting low student interest and learning outcomes, caused by teachers' limited understanding and skills in developing digital teaching materials and utilizing technology, particularly blended learning. The implemented solution was mentoring for optimizing blended learning through the development of a serverless learning information system based on Google Workspace for Education, already available at the school. The implementation method included surveys, socialization, FGDs, system development, training on digital teaching material development, system usage training for teachers and students, and monitoring and evaluation. A quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design was also conducted to measure the intervention's effectiveness on teachers' digital competence and students' perceptions of learning. Key results showed the successful development of an integrated and easily accessible learning information system. Training and mentoring significantly improved teachers' understanding and skills (p < 0.05) in designing and implementing blended learning and developing digital teaching materials using Google Workspace. There was a significant increase (p < 0.05) in students' perceptions of engagement and learning effectiveness post-implementation. This program successfully transformed learning practices towards more optimal technology utilization, creating a more engaging and interactive learning experience. It is concluded that structured mentoring in adopting blended learning using the Google Workspace platform effectively enhances teachers' digital competence and students' positive perceptions in the high school/vocational high school environment.
