Abstract

This study examines and analyses the Core Mathematics learning outcomes of Senior High School students in Ghana. Data was downloaded online from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) website. The data consisted of published provisional WASSCE Core Mathematics results for 2017 to 2022. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics (Frequencies and percentages). Graphs were used for clarity of the analyses. It was realised that, though there has been an improvement in the results of candidates in recent years, many students still fail to achieve the necessary grades for tertiary education admission. It was also revealed that the improvement in the results of candidates in recent times might stem from malpractices on the part of schools and students during the examination.

Abstract

Institutional leaders also play a vital role in providing resources and support to employees. By ensuring that employees have access to the necessary tools, training, and support. Leaders set the stage for employees to be successful in their roles. The present investigation attempts to determine the role of intuitional leadership (IL) in the job burnout (JB) of newly qualified teachers. This study also evaluates the mediating role of work engagement (WE) and moderating role of professional development (PD). This study tested the hypothesis using a partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) by applying smart PLS software. A total of 138 teachers from selected Districts in the Limpopo Province were targeted for data collection. The results confirmed that IL positively impacts JB. The results validate the mediating role of WE. The moderating results revealed that PD does not play a moderating role in proposed relationships. This study serves the existing body of literature by providing empirical evidence on the significance of IL.

Abstract

The purpose of this conceptual paper is to explore strategies for enhancing parental participation and influence in school decision-making processes, focusing specifically on primary schools. The main research question guiding this study is: How can parental participation and influence in school decision-making processes be effectively enhanced? This qualitative study draws upon a comprehensive review of scholarly books and articles, forming the cornerstone of the research. Data collection is conducted through qualitative methods aligned with the interpretive paradigm, allowing for an in-depth exploration of parental perspectives and experiences in school decision-making. Findings from this study highlight the importance of fostering meaningful partnerships between schools and parents to promote collaborative decision-making. Parents' active involvement in decision-making processes not only enhances school governance but also contributes to improved student outcomes and overall school effectiveness. The significance of this study lies in its potential to inform the development and implementation of strategies aimed at enhancing parental participation and influence in school decision-making processes. When recognizing parents as valuable stakeholders in the education system, schools can leverage their insights, expertise, and diverse perspectives to make more informed and inclusive decisions. Educators, policymakers, and school leaders are urged to foster a culture of partnership and collaboration between schools and parents. These recommendations emphasize the importance of communication, transparency, and meaningful engagement to ensure that parents are empowered to play an active role in shaping the educational experiences of their children.

Abstract

One developmentartificial intelligence is a vehicle with an autopilot function. This issue needs to be regulated in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, which does not accommodate the regulation of determining driving areas for autopilot-based vehicles. The added value of this article is that it discusses the settings for determining driving areas in autopilot-based vehicles. The aim of this research is analyzing the urgency of determining driving areas for vehicles with an autopilot system as well as reconstructing traffic and road transport laws regarding determining driving areas for autopilot-based vehicles. This research uses a normative juridical research method with a conceptual approach, a legislative approach and a comparative approach through a comparison of vehicle regulation laws with AI systems in Germany, South Korea and the United States. The results of this research show that the consideration and importance of determining the driving area in vehicles with the systemAutopilot is the level of safety and vehicle autopilot system, the condition of road infrastructure in Indonesia which must be adjusted to the autopilot system, traffic density in Indonesia and the potential risks and impacts on the safety of other road users. It is necessary to reconstruct the determination of autopilot-based vehicle driving areas in law number 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation.

Abstract

The prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) increases from year to year. This increase is linear with increasing problems in families with ASD, one of which is related to caring for the mother of a child with ASD, where the mother is considered the main caregiver and has a close relationship with the child. One of the factors that influences maternal care is religiosity. The aim of this study was to validate the religiosity scale in mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder. This research uses quantitative methods, with data collection in the form of distributing The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS) to a sample of mothers of children with ASD, who are members of the PLA and Yamet communities in Central Java and Yogyakarta, totaling 220 subjects. Researchers carried out the process of adapting The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS)(Huber & Huber, 2012),by translating it into Indonesian, adapting it to the characteristics of the subject, namely mothers of children with ASD, and adapting it to Indonesian culture. The scale validation test uses the 2nd Order CFA technique, and produces (1) a model fit test with fit criteria; (2) validity test, showing that all items are valid (a total of 15 items); (3) the reliability test shows that the five dimensions (of the CRS construct) are measured reliably. The reliability of the five CRS dimensions is classified as high based on the Composite Reliability (CR) and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values. Apart from that, CRS also meets the convergent validity test. The results of the CRS scale model fit test met the model fit criteria, with a chi-square value = 160.00; GFI = 0.92; RMR = 0.03; RMSEA = 0.06; CFI = 0.99. It can be concluded that the results of the adaptation of The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS-15 items;Huber & Huber, 2012)can be used for research because it meets the validity and reliability tests of the scale.
