Abstract

Early Breastfeeding Initiation is an Indonesian government program to reduce the infant mortality rate (IMR). IMR in Indonesia shows a figure of 32/1000 live births, which is still far below that of other ASEAN countries. This is thought to be due to various factors, namely the limited number of breastfeeding counselors in health service facilities and the lack of educational, advocacy, and campaign activities related to the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation. Apart from that, the availability of facilities and infrastructure for Maternal and Child Health This research aims to analyze the influence of the role of health workers on the success of implementing Early Breastfeeding Initiation in the maternity room at Sheikh Yusuf Gowa's house. This research used a descriptive observational research type with a survey method, where the author only wanted to describe nurses' knowledge about early breastfeeding initiation. The sampling method involved 33 respondents. Data was collected using a questionnaire technique. If the respondent answered correctly, the value is 1; if wrong, the value is 0. The research results showed that 33 people (100%) had good knowledge. This research shows that respondents with good knowledge have a great influence on Early Breastfeeding Initiation.

Abstract

Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) have clinical symptoms such as polydipsia, polyuria, and pain, which also occur at night and can cause sleep disturbances. This sleep disturbance will increase the frequency of awakening, difficulty falling asleep again, and sleep dissatisfaction, which causes the quality of sleep to decrease. Sleep hygiene is a method to improve sleep quality in the form of a list of things that can facilitate and maintain sleep initiation. This study aims to determine the effect of sleep hygiene on the sleep quality of people with type 2 diabetes in the working area of Banjarmasin Indah Public Health Center. This quantitative study has a pre-experimental research design and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study amounted to 29 respondents and was selected based on inclusion criteria. The measuring instrument used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire to measure sleep quality. In addition, the data was analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The analysis results showed a significant difference between before and after sleep hygiene intervention (p-value = 0.000), so it can be concluded that sleep hygiene affects the sleep quality of people with Type 2 diabetes. Based on these results, community nurses at Banjarmasin Indah Public Health Center expected to include sleep hygiene in health education given to people with type 2 diabetes and their families.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal injury is an injury to one part of the musculoskeletal system that can be acute or as a result of gradual overuse, which usually causes dysfunction of surrounding structures and the structures that are protected or supported, resulting in not being able to function appropriately in muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints or bones. The general purpose of this study was to determine the level of cedar musculoskeletal management skills in accident victims in the general public. This experimental study uses a Pre-Test-Post Test one Group design approach through testing research hypotheses. The population of this research is the cloud community, totalling 48 respondents—paired statistical test using nonparametric Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon analysis test, it can be concluded that 48 respondents who received training in the Management of musculoskeletal injuries in accident victims through evaluation simulations in the general public can conclude that the majority of ordinary people have good knowledge in terms of the ability to handle musculoskeletal injuries in accident victims through evaluation simulations. With a p-value of 0.001, there is a significant difference between before and after training with simulation. Education and training on musculoskeletal injury management actions for accident victims through evaluation simulations in the general public continue to improve the ability of these action skills.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition characterized by reduced hemoglobin (Hb) in the body. Hemoglobin is a metalloprotein, a protein containing iron in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. Anemia is a condition in which the body experiences a lack of red blood cells, causing the body's organs not to receive enough oxygen, making anemia sufferers have pale skin and get tired quickly. The general aim of this scientific paper is to examine the relationship between ineffective peripheral perfusion and Anemia through nursing care. The research design used was a case study which explored the problem of nursing care for patients who experienced Anemia at Misi Lebak Hospital for three days for Mrs. S. Data collection can be done through interviews, observation, physical examination and documentation. The results of the assessment obtained were that the patient complained of weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Assessment results: anaemic conjunctiva, blood pressure 80/60 mmHg, breathing 20x/minute, pulse 87x/minute, body temperature 36.8°C, could only eat food ½ portion, BW before illness 45 Kg, BW during illness 44 Kg, TB 156 Cm, BMI: 18.33 with underweight interpretation, laboratory examination results show, Hemoglobin 7.6 g/ dL, Leukocytes 18,960 /µL. Problems that arise are ineffective peripheral perfusion, nutritional deficits, activity intolerance, and risk of infection. The implementation provides educational actions, teaches an iron diet program to improve circulation, recommends small but frequent meals and monitors food intake, monitors physical fatigue, and monitors signs and symptoms of local and systemic infections, in addition to collaborating with the medical team in administering transfusions, antibiotic therapy, and anti-nausea as well as collaborating with the Nutrition team in providing an iron diet. Nursing problems can be resolved on the third day with the criteria for Hb results increasing to 10.2 g/ dL, systolic and diastolic blood pressure improving to 120/80 mmHg, the portion of food consumed increasing to 1 portion, complaints of fatigue decreasing, the patient being able to carry out activities, white blood cell levels improved to 10,500 /µL.

Abstract

Hypertension is an abnormal and ongoing rise in blood pressure recorded more than once. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how family support and self-efficacy in managing one's hypertension relate to one another. This study used a cross-sectional research design with 245 participants. According to the study, those with high self-efficacy also typically had effective self-management (64.2 %). Regarding poor self-management, the dominant group is less adept at it (57.2 %). The dominant person in the excellent family support variable exhibits good self-management (61.1 %). Less family support results in poorer self-management for the dominating group (57.1 %). According to the chi-square test results, self-efficacy (p-value=0.006) and family support (p-value=0.001) are connected to self-management. In conclusion, patients with hypertension tend to control their condition better themselves if they have strong self-efficacy and family support.
