Abstract

Tolosa Hunt Syndrome (THS) is a rare clinical syndrome described as unilateral orbital or periorbital pain involving parese of one or more cranial nerves oculomotor (III), trochlear (IV), and or abducens (VI) caused by nonspecific granulomatous inflammation on the cavernous sinus, superior orbital fissure or orbital. MRI images can show thickening at cavernous sinus or orbital fissure. Giving corticosteroids for 48 hours resulted improvement in clinical symptoms. This article is a case report of a 50 years old man with Tolosa Hunt Syndrome. A 50-year-old man has come with complaints of recurrent headaches for 6 months in the left eye area, pain when moving his eyes, accompanied by burning sensation like electrocution, with difficulty moving the left eyeball to the left side and diplopia. Laboratory tests was normal, on MRI examination there is thickening of the musculus rectus lateralis. The patient was given injection methylprednisolone 125 mg/8 hours and gave good responses. Diagnosis of tolosa hunt syndrome (THS) in this case enforced based on the presence of unilateral headache in the periorbital area accompanied by weakness of the optic nerve (cranial nerves III and VI left), burning and electrifying feeling in the unilateral facial area indicating involvement of the nerve V1. Chronic inflammation of the cavernous sinus wall septa in dense connective tissue can exert pressure that can penetrate cranial nerves III, IV, VI and V branch 1. By giving of systemic corticosteroids for 48 hours resulted in improvement in clinical symptoms.

Abstract

Radiology as a means of support in making a diagnosis must be able to meet the minimum service standards of the hospital. According to Kepmenkes no. 129 of 2008 there are 4 indicators of Minimum Service Standards that must be met by radiology installations, namely: waiting time for thorax photos is not more than three hours, the executor is a radiology specialist, the damage of X-ray service failure in the form of photo damage ≤ 2%, customer satisfaction is set at ≥ 80%. These service standards must be carried out to maintain service quality and become a benchmark in performance assessment. This study aims to determine the procedures and results of the analysis of the implementation of Minimum Service Standards in the Radiology Installation of Bhayangkara Hospital. This type of research is qualitative. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews with parties involved in the hospital quality assurance program and documentation of SPM program data that has been done. The data that has been obtained will be transcribed and reduced. Then the analysis will be carried out by referring to the SMP that has been determined by the hospital and the Kepmenkes. Furthermore, indicators that do not meet the standards will be evaluated in the hope that the quality assurance program can meet the standards. The results showed that the implementation of radiology minimum service standards at Bhayangkara Semarang Hospital has been carried out, including 4 indicators with the results meeting the standards, but processing and evaluation have not been carried out.

Abstract

Gastroenteritis is an inflammatory disease of the digestive tract with a high prevalence in Indonesia, which has detrimental effects on sufferers, especially children. Gastroenteritis is often associated with the consumption of unhygienic food and is not handled properly. Gastroenteritis cases occur quite often in students who live in boarding schools. This study aims to determine the relationship between sanitation, food management, and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) with the incidence of gastroenteritis among female students at a Tsanawiyah Madrasah in Bogor City. This research uses a cross-sectional research design with a qualitative analytical approach. Research respondents were taken from 95 female students selected through simple random sampling. Data were obtained through questionnaires regarding knowledge of gastroenteritis, PHBS, and observations of sanitation and food processing practices. The results showed that the majority of respondents (75.8%) had sufficient knowledge about gastroenteritis, while 60% of respondents indicated sufficient PHBS efforts. Based on the results of observations, food processing sanitation is included in the category of being quite good (60%). From this study it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between knowledge, PHBS behavior, and sanitation in food processing on the incidence of gastroenteritis. In Islamic terms, knowledge not only shows faith and piety, but can also contribute to the prevention of gastroenteritis.

Abstract

The daily life one leads can have adverse effects on the mind that may lead to cancer. Poorly managed cancer can spread and attack other organ tissues aggressively, causing damage to the body's organs. This study aims to analyze the relationship between positive thinking and mental health in cancer patients undergoing therapy. The research involved 100 female participants selected through purposive sampling techniques, conducting an online survey on cancer patients undergoing therapy with an age range of 30 to 50 years. Positive thinking involves positive beliefs about oneself and the future, emphasizing interpreting life in a positive and correct way. Mental health is an individual's mental ability to cope with stress, fostering healthy interpersonal relationships in society and making effective decisions. The results of this study indicate a strong relationship between positive thinking and mental health. This suggests that the higher the level of positive thinking experienced by cancer patients undergoing therapy, the higher their level of mental health. Each cancer patient has a need for a long life, aligned with the quality of their mindset and dietary patterns

Abstract

Renal failure was a clinical condition characterized by irreversible decline in kidney function. Renal failure was divided into chronic and acute renal failure. Hypertension was a major factor triggering the occurrence of kidney disease and kidney failure. Data released by WHO shows that 50% of people with kidney failure, both acute and chronic, reach 50%. Based on Riskesdas, in 2018 the prevalence of chronic kidney failure in Indonesia was 0.38%. East Java Province was 0.3%, while the highest prevalence based on age was 65-74 years old at 8.23%. Effectiveness could provide information about how much a drug could achieve the desired effect in clinical practice. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of used captopril and valsartan in hypertensive patients with kidney failure at hospital. Methods: This research uses a numerical comparative analytical research type with an observational and cross-sectional design. The research was conducted at. Citra Husada Hospital in March-April 2023, using patient medical record data sources, and a sample of 64 patients. Data sources were analyzed using the Chi square test. Data is displayed in frequency and percentage form. Results: The results of this study showed that the average valued of blood pressure before administration of captopril was 183. 65 mmhg/99. The average value of blood pressure after administration of captopril was 171. 00 mmhg/91. 778 mmhg. The average value of blood pressure before administration of valsartan was 165. 87 mmhg/92. 81 mmhg. The average value of blood pressure after administration of valsartan was 151. 15 mmhg / 81. 09 mmhg. From the results of the studies, it was found that there was no difference between the comparison of the effectiveness of used captopril and valsartan in hypertensive patients with kidney failure at hospital. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study shows that there was no comparison of the effectiveness of used captopril and valsartan in hypertensive patients with kidney failure, both of which had the same effectiveness in lowering blood pressure
