Abstract

The postpartum period (peueperium) is the period after childbirth is complete, up to 6 weeks or 42 days. After the postpartum period, the reproductive organs will slowly experience changes like before pregnancy. Postpartum mothers experience recovery in their physical and psychological condition. What is expected in the 6 week period after giving birth is that all of the mother's body systems will recover from the various effects of pregnancy and return to their pre-pregnancy state, one of which is changes in the uterus which gradually recovers to its pre -pregnancy state. Postpartum mothers will experience changes in uterine involution, namely the process of returning the uterus to the state it was in before pregnancy. The uterus will decrease in size in approximately 6 weeks. However, it can be faster if you balance it by doing postpartum exercises. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of postpartum exercise on uterine involution in postpartum mothers. This research is a quasi-experimental-research to test cause and effect relationships or find the effect of an intervention on the population, using the Wilcoxon signed rank test to see the effect before and after postpartum exercise on the respondent's uterine involution. This research was conducted in Aek Haruaya village, Portibi District, North Padang Lawas Regency in 2023. The results of this research show a p-value of 0.000 (α<0.05), which means that there is an influence of postpartum exercise on uterine involution in mothers in Aek Haruaya Village, Portibi District, North Padang Lawas Regency in 2023.

Hypertension treatment management is an important action taken to prevent hypertension, but this is still often unknown by patients due to the lack of patient knowledge of good and correct hypertension treatment management, which has an impact on increasing the number of hypertension patients each year, for this reason, providing health education is needed to increase public knowledge about hypertension treatment management. The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of health education with booklet media on knowledge in managing hypertension treatment in patients with hypertension. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design with a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample amounted to 46 people with diagnostic hypertension at the Pajang Health Center in Surakarta. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The intervention was carried out by making two groups selected based on predetermined criteria and then given a pretest to determine the initial condition, for the experimental group given treatment, namely health education with booklet media while the control group was not given treatment only given health education with explanation, after which a posttest was given to both groups. Knowledge about hypertension was measured using a knowledge questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the intervention group given health education using booklets and the control group given health education without using booklets (p<0.001). So it can be concluded that there is an effectiveness of health education with booklet media on knowledge in pharmacological management of hypertension at Pajang Health Center.

Abstract

Waste is one of the contributing factors to environmental pollution, accompanied by a decline in the aesthetic quality of the environment. Municipal waste produced worldwide each year is not handled in an environmentally friendly manner. The amount of waste generated per person per day varies widely worldwide, averaging around 0.74 kilograms. Nationally, the issue of waste accumulation is quite high. According to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Indonesia generated 30.8 million tons of waste in 2021 and 33.8 million tons of waste in 2022. The research objective is to identify the determining factors of visitors' behavior in littering at Alun-alun Kidul Jogja tourist site. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population includes all visitors to Alun-alun Kidul Jogja aged over 17 years. The sample size is determined using the Cochran formula, resulting in a sample of 390 individuals. Sampling is conducted using the Accidental Sampling technique, encountering respondents at the research location. Data obtained are analyzed using descriptive statistics and bivariate analysis with the Chi-square test. The results indicate a relationship between age (P-value 0.000), knowledge (P-value 0.000), and attitude (P-value 0.000) towards littering behavior among tourists. However, there is no relationship between gender (P-value 0.132), education level (P-value 0.343), and facility adequacy (P-value 0.948) and littering behavior among tourists. There is a relationship between visitors' behavior in littering and age, knowledge about waste, and attitude towards littering. Therefore, there is a need to increase individual awareness regarding littering behavior, and individuals should be motivated to read and engage with environmental care promotions to avoid littering indiscriminately.
