Abstract

Gestational hypertension (also called transient hypertension) is hypertension that occurs in pregnancy without proteinuria. This research was conducted at RSIA Khadijah Makassar 1 year 2019-2022, using a retrospective descriptive method, using total quota sampling that met the inclusion criteria. The number of samples obtained was 32 samples with the characteristics of gestational hypertension occurring most frequently at the age of 20-35 years, namely 26 (81.25%), with grand multigravida, namely 13 (40.6%), BMI >25 kg/m2 27 ( 84.4%), and in patients without a history of hypertension, namely 17 (53.12%). Based on statistical tests, it was found that there is a relationship between gravida and the incidence of gestational hypertension with a p-value of 0.083, which is smaller than 0.10, meaning that pregnant women with primigravida and grand multigravida have a 9.3 times higher risk of developing gestational hypertension than pregnant women. with multigravida, while age, BMI, and history of hypertension had no significant relationship to the incidence of gestational hypertension at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1. .

Abstract

Spinal cord injury is most often associated as a contributing factor in causing neurogenic shock. Mostly associated with cervical and thoracic spine injuries. However, there are many factors that can cause neurogenic shock. This study explains the risk factors for trauma and non-trauma that can cause neurogenic shock. This type of study is a literature review using a narrative review design by collecting information through various sources related to risk factors for neurogenic shock. The results of article scoping found 15 study articles that could be used to provide answers to the problem formulation for this study. 6 study articles state that accidents are the biggest risk factor for neurogenic shock, spinal cord injuries tend to be influenced by accidents while driving which cause a loss of sensory and motor abilities. Apart from that, several other articles also state that violence, anesthesia, brain damage, tumors, infections, fractures and developmental abnormalities can be risk factors for neurogenic shock. Based on the findings of a review from various sources, it can be concluded that incidents of neurogenic shock are most often caused by risk factors for trauma due to traumatic injury to the spine.

Abstract

Glucose metabolic disorders in cases of diabetes mellitus (DM) will affect other body metabolism, such as carbohydrate, protein, fat and water metabolism and cause cellular damage to several body tissues.. This research aims to determine the antibacterial activity test in vitro using aerobic bacteria ( S. aureus and P. aeruginosa) based on the MIC value shown in the polyherbal formulation. Then a topical test was carried out on white mice which had previously been induced by STZ-NA with complications of diabetic ulcers characterized by wounds on the mice's backs. The samples used in this research were noni fruit simplicia, insulin leaves, turmeric, aloe vera and honey. Polyherbal plants that are still fresh and complete are determined at BBPPTOOT Tawangmangu, Kab. Karanganyar, Central Java. This research was carried out in-vitro and was a laboratory experiment. The polyherbal ethanol extract obtained was then tested for antibacterial activity against S. aureus and P. aeruginosa at several concentrations (20% and 50%). The test results showed that the concentration that had the most active MIC value was a concentration of 20% of the diameter of the best inhibitory zone, namely honey extract, noni fruit, insulin leaves, turmeric rhizomes, while at a concentration of 50% the diameter of the best inhibitory zone, namely aloe vera. From these results a new formulation series was created, expressed as F1. F1 was then replicated 3 times to get the best antibacterial activity results. From the replication results, the polyherbal formulation had inhibitory power due to the presence of a clear zone around the well. Diameter antibacterial zone of inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus has an inhibition zone diameter of 14.4 mm and Pseudomonas auroginosa has an inhibition zone diameter of 11.67 mm. From this research it was found that the polyherbal formulation hadactive antibacterial activity in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas auroginosa. These results are continued to determine the healing activity of diabetic ulcers. The activity test used Wistar male white rats which were grouped into 10 groups with each group consisting of 5 rats. Rats were induced with STZ at 45 mg/kgBW and NA 110 mg/kgBW, until the rat's blood sugar level was > 250 mg/dL. Measurement of rat blood sugar levels using the GOD-PAP method. The mice were left for 3 weeks until nephropathy occurred, after which the mice's backs were injured using a biopsy punch with a diameter of ± 4 mm.

Abstract

Diabetes is a series of chronic metabolic disorders caused by the pancreas not producing enough insulin, causing both absolute and relative insulin deficiency, resulting in increased glucose concentration in the blood. Pharmacological handling of insulin includes administering an insulin pen that is used correctly. This research aims to determine the effect of education through video media on knowledge of how to use insulin pens in diabetes patients. This research method uses a Quasi-Experimental design with a research design of "one group pre-test and post-test design. The population in this study were DM patients at Pesanggrahan Regional Hospital, with a total sample of 18 DM patients. The instrument in this study uses a questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge about insulin pens and a barcode containing a video of insulin pen use—a statistical test using T Dependent. This study's results significantly influence knowledge of how to use an insulin pen before and after providing education with a p-value of 0.000 (p-value < 0.05). It is hoped that the results of this research can become a basis for nursing services to provide education to diabetes mellitus patients regarding knowledge of how to use insulin pens using videos.
