Abstract

The use of lip tint is highly popular among women. However, lip tints that are popular for their aesthetics often contain ingredients that pose health risks such as Tartrazine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, and Rhodamine B. To address this issue, the use of fruits as alternative cosmetic ingredients becomes an interesting solution. By utilizing beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.) extract as an option to replace dyes in lip tint, the same effective color can be obtained as with synthetic or conventional ingredients but with more natural properties. Beetroots are fruits rich in vitamin E and have red flesh. The vitamin and pigment content can help lips achieve a natural red color and prevent dryness. Therefore, research on beetroot extract processing is needed to increase public awareness of the potential for safer and higher-quality cosmetic ingredients for consumers.

Abstract

The outpatient registration place (TPPRJ) or better known as the registration place, is the service provider that the patient or their family first receives so that the quality of service will be assessed here. In the outpatient registration process at the outpatient registration center (TPPRJ), there are several inhibiting factors that disrupt services. The aim of this research is to determine the factors that hinder outpatient registration services. Based on a preliminary survey, there were several obstacles experienced during the registration process which took place at the outpatient registration site (TPPRJ). This research design uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Researchers use subjects as populations and objects as samples. Data collection methods are observation, interviews and documentation. In the research, several things were found, such as factors that hinder outpatient registration services which have an impact on waiting time (response time), and the efforts of officers to overcome obstacles that are inhibiting factors in outpatient registration. It can be concluded that problems in hospitals are caused by the internet sometimes not being connected properly, power outages which force services to stop temporarily, patients being less careful in paying attention to the validity period of referrals. Suggestions from the research results obtained are for officers to improve good communication between officers. with patients, as well as officers and officers, to emphasize the occurrence of obstacles to patient registration services.

Abstract

Malnutrition is nutrient deficits or excesses, an imbalance of critical nutrients, or inadequate nutrient utilization. Undernutrition presents itself in four ways: wasting, stunting, underweight, and lacking micronutrients. Meanwhile, overweight and obesity are two forms of overnutrition. In 2020, the World Health Organization projected 149 million stunted children under five, 45 million wasted children, and 38.9 million overweight or obese children. We conducted a comprehensive literature search across databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. We searched for articles using MeSH-compliant keywords including “Moringa oleifera”, “malnutrition”, “undernutrition”, “stunting”, “wasting”, “growth disorders”, “overnutrition”, “obesity”, and “overweight”,This review included studies published between 1 January 2020 - 31 May 2023 that were human or animal research studies, written in English and were full-length articles. Studies that were (i) not relevant to the main focus of the review; (ii) Ph.D. dissertations, conference proceedings, unpublished studies; (iii) abstracts, case studies, in vitro studies, non-experimental studies, protocols and reviews; and (iv) duplicate were excluded. The key findings of each research project were summarized based on the year, the study group, the technique utilized, the interventions used, the variables considered, the primary outcomes, and the concluding remarks for data interpretation. Moringa oleifera is readily available in Indonesia as a local food ingredient. Studies have demonstrated the beneficial effects of Moringa oleifera on malnutrition, encompassing both undernutrition and overnutrition, through various mechanisms, including enhanced antioxidant capacity and modulation of appetite-regulating hormones.

Abstract

Cardiac Arrest occurs when the heart suddenly stops pumping and is the third leading cause of death in industrialized countries. Given the breadth of the medical discipline of anesthesiology, anesthesiologists always have a great opportunity to influence the safety and quality of patient care and maintain vital organ function systems during surgery. Literature searches over the last 5 years were carried out using the NCBI database, PubMed, Science Direct and the Google search engine with the keywords Cardiac Arrest, Perspective, Anesthesia. So we got 22 selected articles which were analyzed using the Unsystematic Narrative review method. Immediate treatment through providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and eliminating causative factors is an effort to prevent death from cardiac arrest. Heart attacks regardless of location must be treated immediately. Cardiac arrest during surgery also needs to be considered because during the operation it is possible that the frequency of heart attacks associated with a significant reduction in anesthesia occurs over time. The administration of anesthesia equipment is the most common source of problems, in the ICU, it is estimated that equipment and supply problems account for 15.8% of the total side effects; similarly, equipment is involved in approximately 14–30% of all intraoperative problems. So, anesthetists are expected to always monitor and check equipment to prevent heart attacks or other complications.

Abstract

Stroke is the number one cause of disability and the number three cause of death in the world after heart disease and cancer in both developed and developing countries. In Indonesia, the incidence of stroke from 2013 to 2018 increased by 7% - 11% or 2,120,362 people. The high number of strokes has the potential to increase prevalence in all age groups. The risk of having a stroke increases from the age of 45 years. After the age of 50, every three additional years of age increases the risk of stroke by 11-20%. Risk factors for stroke complications are stroke severity, type of stroke, lesion size, mechanical ventilation, age, gender and history of diabetes. Several literatures have reported that 44%-75% of stroke patients experience at least one complication during inpatient rehabilitation, the most common of which are musculoskeletal pain, fever depression, pressure sores, fall infections, upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB), seizures, nutritional deficiencies. , deep vein thrombosis, development of stroke and pulmonary embolism. Several studies reveal that age can influence the occurrence of certain stroke complications. Symptomatic UGIB and UTI were found to be complications influenced by age.

Abstract

Dental and oral diseases affect 90% of Indonesia's population, one of which is caries. Based on Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data for the East Kalimantan region, Berau Regency has the second highest prevalence of caries or cavities after West Kutai, namely 56.08%. The environment is one of the factors that influences the occurrence of caries, one of which is water. A pH value below 6.5-8 indicates that the water is acidic, which can increase the risk factor for caries. The aim of this research is to analyse the differences in the dental caries index based on the pH of well water and PDAM water used by the community in Sido Bangen Village. This research uses observational research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The population of this study was the people of Kelay District. The total sample was 78 people, who were divided into 2 groups, namely 39 research subjects who used well water and 39 research subjects who used PDAM water. The results of the independent sample T test showed that there was a difference in the DMF-T index between users of well water and PDAM water with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). The results of the Mann-Whitney test show that there is a difference in pH values between the pH of well water and PDAM water, with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder in children due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections, which is characterized by their length or height being below a Z-score of -2 SD. The number of children under five at risk of stunting in Indonesia is still around 4.7 million. Classification of Stunting according to the nutritional status of children, both boys and girls. The macronutrient intake that most influences the occurrence of stunting is protein intake. Protein deficiency in children can cause low growth and bone maturity, which can lead to various medical conditions, one of which is stunting. The research method for this journal was a Literature Review via Google Scholar, NCBI and sciencedirect.com using the keywords Stunting, Protein, Children, then a total of 9 articles that met the inclusion criteria were reviewed. This research concludes that there is a relationship between protein intake and the incidence of stunting. This is characterized by lower protein intake in children who are stunted compared to children who are not stunted.
