Darmabakti: Jurnal Inovasi Pengabdian dalam Penerbangan merupakan jurnal nasional yang diterbitkan dua kali setahun pada bulan Juni dan Desember dalam bentuk elektronik dengan E-ISSN: 2775-5568 dan dalam bentuk cetak dengan P-ISSN: 2776-2009. Jurnal nasional ini merupakan suatu bentuk publikasi hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM), dimana hasil PkM berdasarkan SN-DIKTI dapat berupa: (1) penyelesaian masalah yang dihadapi masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan keahlian sivitas akademika yang relevan; (2) pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna; (3) bahan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi; dan (4) bahan ajar atau modul pelatihan untuk pengayaan sumber belajar. Darmabakti: Jurnal Inovasi Pengabdian dalam Penerbangan pada umumnya memuat berbagai kegiatan tenaga pengajar dan taruna di lingkungan Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang, dalam menangani dan mengelola berbagai potensi, kendala, tantangan, dan permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Jurnal ini juga terbuka luas untuk penulis dari luar Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang yang ingin turut berpartisipasi mempublikasikan hasil dari kegiatan PkM yang telah dilaksanakan.

The implementation of the Tridarma of Higher Education in the field of Community Service can be carried out by establishing cooperation between universities and certain agencies, both public and private. One form of activity that can be carried out is to provide counseling to children at the Al-Maun shelter, Bengkulu City. This activity is carried out in order to foster a culture of literacy in Indonesian children. The method used in this service is a community approach method, by inviting or motivating children to be able to improve literacy culture, especially reading and writing culture in children's daily lives. The activity steps include: 1) planning; 2) preparing extension materials; and 3) delivering materials with a view to motivating and cultivating a culture of literacy in children at the Al-Maun shelter in Bengkulu City. From the implementation of these activities, it can be concluded that: 1) children get information/knowledge about the importance of literacy culture, especially reading and writing culture and 2) children are motivated to apply Literacy culture in their daily lives.

Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) is a part of the emergency response unit at the airport that has technical and operational standards set by the regulator. Given the importance of the role of ARFF in an airport, it is appropriate for ARFF unit to have competent personnel in their fields. This can be obtained through education and training organized by the Aviation Education Institute. One of the Basic ARFF training programs by Poltekbang Palembang overall went well and smoothly, with an average score of 83.46 (qualification: excellent) can be an indicator that the learning objectives have been achieved.

This activity background to support the officer of Ihsan Sukajaya mosque, Sukarame, city of Palembang in design the infrastructure development. Hence, It considers better learning facilities. The steps are site visit, pra-design processes, detail engineering design, and budget planning. Field surveys are used to collecting data in a particular foundation area and analyze the existing condition. This result is a basic planning process to design the detailed drawing and cost estimate. The result of community service is a detailed drawing of mosque infrastructure development such as the main building of Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran, library, and office. The purpose of the service at the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School located in Somang Village, Parung Panjang District, Bogor Regency, West Java is to empower students together with the community in realizing learning support facilities and infrastructure. This boarding school was chosen as the location of the activity because it was a religious educational institution that has geographical potential and the number of students it has. To support the smooth learning process and the daily life of students in staying in the boarding school environment, the problem was providing a bathroom in which there is a place for bathing, washing and latrines. It was a necessity that should be available in a dormitory and due to limited funds to complete its construction, it cannot be used properly, in order to alleviate and resolve the existing problems that community service activities are carried out in Islamic boarding schools. The method of activity by involving students and the community in improving various learning support facilities. The results of the empowerment carried out have succeeded in building facilities in the form of bathrooms, terrace tiles, and tidying the walls of the Islamic boarding school.

The purpose of this socialization was to provide education to the people around Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin (SMB) II Palembang Airport about activities that can endanger flights, so that things that endanger flights caused by community activities can be avoided. The socialization method used was exposure by experts and discussions with people living near SMB II Palembang Airport. The results obtained from this socialization are that the participants (community) understand what activities endanger aircraft, especially in the flight operation safety area of SMB II Palembang Airport. The results of the socialization have been published on the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic social media.

A programmable Logic Controller or commonly called PLC is a device that is programmed according to the needs of specific industrial processes desired based on logic (arithmetic calculations in an order), which aims to control and regulate the desired process to produce the desired output as well. This community service activity is intended as an implementation of the field of airport engineering technology which is expected to provide increased skills that can be a provision in the world of work for the trainees. The activity was focused on conducting Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training for high school students in the city of Palembang. The concept of training is carried out for 1 (one) day using an approach of 30% theory and 70% practice. includes the introduction of PLC systems and programming using ladder diagrams which are expected that students who have attended this training will have skills in the field of automation that can be a provision in entering the world of work. The results of the evaluation showed that the average grade in the practicum was 90.5 (ninety points five).

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education regarding efforts to prevent and overcome fire hazards at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic to minimize the impact of losses caused by fires. The method used was technical guidance in the form of providing basic competence in early fire prevention by using 4 hours of classroom theoretical session and 4 hours of practical session in the field. Overall, this activity went well and smoothly, with the average satisfaction score of participants responses was categorized Very Good (A), indicated that the participants had a very positive response to prevent and control on fire hazard.

The phenomenon of the development of heliport construction in Greater Tangerang is an opportunity for the local government and is part of one of the functions of the Department of Transportation that needs to be optimized, through Community Service activities this time the Diploma III Study Program of Aeronautical Information at the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug held a sharing session regarding the importance of understanding technical matters. and administrative related to heliport construction recommendations. The purpose of this activity is a sharing session with officials and personnel of the Tangerang Regency Transportation Service regarding the heliport development process between the local government authorities and the regulators who are responsible for the technical aspects of flight safety. The method of activity is socialization and sharing of joint policies regarding heliport development. The Director-General of Civil Aviation is a technical partner related to aviation safety aspects that need to have collaborated with local government authorities related to areas and Building Construction Permits (IMB). Clarity about the recommendation process for heliport development in an area will encourage investors or development initiators which of course are expected to have a direct or indirect impact on the development and welfare of the local community.

Learning based on student-centered learning makes students the center of learning, where students are encouraged and allowed to seek information from various learning sources, such as learning modules independently. Therefore, we need teaching material that can be used by students without depending on others in their learning. One of the learning media that can be used by students independently is the use of modules. The purpose of this service activity is to socialize the application of the spectrum analyzer module to support learning activities by applying the problem-based learning method. The method used in this service activity is in the form of socialization to Aviation Vocational School students. The results of the service activities obtained good student response data to the spectrum analyzer module as a learning medium which is expected to improve aircraft learning outcomes.

The purpose of the activity is that the trainees are capable to conduct airport rescue and fire fighter (ARFF) vehicle maintenance properly based on any related regulations and manuals The methods used are competency-based training, classroom session for theoretical learning process, and practical session with trainers and simulators for the fulfillment of ARFF personnel knowledge, skills, and attitudes. ARFF Vehicle Maintenance Technique Initial Training went well and smoothly, with an average evaluation score of 80,614 (qualification: good), indicated that the learning objectives have been achieved.
