Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which views information technology as a basis in human life. Education is demanded to be able to improve quality human resources. The 2013 revised 2017 curriculum is the government's effort to answer the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0 era which aims to shape literacy in students. However, the reality of school shows that student literacy has not been well implemented and understanding of Physics concepts is still low. One solution to overcome these problems is to develop a physics conflict cognitive worksheet based on students. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and practicality of Physics students' worksheets. Research conducted includes the type of Development Research research using the Plomp model. The object of the study was a cognitive conflict based student worksheet. Data source validation results from experts by the Physics lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP, the results of practicality from the Physics teacher, as well as the results of the practicality of one to one and small groups of class XI students of SMAN 7 Padang. Based on data analysis two research results can be stated. First, cognitive conflict based LKS is very valid. Second, the use of cognitive conflict based student worksheets is very practical. So, it can be concluded that the worksheet based on cognitive conflict integrated with new literacy on fluid material for class XI high school students is valid and practical.

Abstract

The low physics learning outcomes of students in SMA N 13 Padang because students who have not mastered the concept. The cause is rarely student practicum and worksheets are used not lead students to think creatively and independently, so it need worksheets that can lead students to think creatively and independently. One type of worksheets that can be used to overcome these problems is worksheets based Project Based Learning. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the effect of worksheets based Project Based Learning on learning outcomes physics class X SMA N 13 Padang on the competence of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. This research is a Quasi-Experimental Researc with design Randomized Control Only Group Design. The population in this research were all students in the tenth grade at SMA N 13 Padang enrolled in the academic year 2014/2015.  Sampling was determined through purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this research is the ultimate test for competency knowledge, attitudes observation sheet for competence, and performance assessment sheets for competency skills. Data were analyzed by using test the equality of two average. The results shows that the competence of knowledge, the average value of the final test experimental class is 77.03 while the control class 66.09. On the attitude of competence, the average value of the experiment showed a very good grade while good control class. On competency skills, the average value of the experimental class is 85.56 while the control class 81.28. Therefore, the working hypothesis which states that "there is significant influence implementation of worksheets based Project Based Learning on learning outcomes physics class X SMA N 13 Padang on the competence of knowledge, attitudes, and skills" can be accepted at the 0.05 significance level. Thus worksheets based Project Based Learning can improve physics learning outcomes of students in competency knowledge, attitudes, and skills

Abstract

Science competence of grade VIII students in junior high school 3 Lembah Gumanti has not shown optimal result. One solution that can be used to improve student’s science competence is by using teaching materials that support the learning process and assist students in developing their thinking skills. The teaching material used in this research is student worksheet oriented interactive demonstration approach. This type of research is Quasi Experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research is students of grade VIII in junior high school 3 Lembah Gumanti which registered in the academic year 2016/2017. Sampling is done by Purposive Sampling technique. Research data includes knowledge competence, attitude and skills. The results of data analysis indicate that student worksheet oriented interactive demonstration approach gives a significant influence on the competence of knowledge and attitude but does not give a significant influence on skill competence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze Physics textbooks used in Padang based on digital age literacy content. The study analyzed the books based on the contents of aspects of digital age literacy, namely (1) Scientific literacy, (2) information literacy, (3) and visual literacy. The object of this study is the high school physics textbook. The study population was all material in 5 high school physics textbooks analyzed. The initial step in this research is to conduct a survey of high school physics class XI textbooks used in Padang City. The schools surveyed were chosen randomly. The next step is to choose five textbooks that have been approved by the Book Center and are the most widely used by students and teachers in schools in the Padang region. The books analyzed were 5 books from different publishers. Furthermore, this book is labeled with books A, B, C, D and E. The results of analysis of high school physics textbooks obtained that in book A the percentage of emergence  was 57%, Book B% 56%, Book C 38%, Book D 71% and E book 78%. Class XI high school physics textbooks analyzed already contain categories of digital literacy, so teachers can use physics literacy materials containing digital literacy and can be used by students in learning, but in book C they do not include digital literacy categories due to the low aspects of scientific literacy, information literacy and literacy visually so book B is not yet suitable for use as teaching material

Abstract

Science Process Skills (KPS) are skills that facilitate learners discover facts, determine concepts and apply theories in everyday life. In fact in the KPS implementation class is still low. In addition to the low implementation of KPS, the textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra have not yet known the value of KPS. The solution to this problem is knowing which books have high KPS that will be used in the teaching and learning process.This study aims to determine the value of KPS in Physics textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study population is all physics textbooks for Class X Semester 2 used in West Sumatra. The research sample is the four most books used in West Sumatra High School. The research instrument used has a high validity value. This research instrument uses 10 PPP components which are broken down into 37 PPP indicators.The results obtained that the book used in the classroom as a source of learning for students has 1 sample of books whose KPS scores are in the "Good" category. The other three sample books have KPS values in the "Fair" category. Physics textbooks that have the highest KPS values to books with low KPS grades in sequence according to the book coding are BTP3, BTP4, BTP2 and BTP1 books.

Abstract

LKS oriented Problem Based Learning is expected to optimize the activity and thinking patterns of students in learning process. Competencies which is achieved by students would be optimal if implemented learning contextual. One of the learning model that can optimize Physics student competence is Problem Based Learning. The purpose of research is to determine and investigate the effect of applying LKS oriented Problem Based Learning to competence of Physics student class X of SMAN 1 Gunung Talang. This research is quasi experimental research with Randomized Control Group Only. The research population are students of class X Science SMAN 1 Gunung Talang listed in the academic year 2013/2014. The sampling was Purposive Sampling technique. The research data includes the competence of three aspects those are cognitive, attitude, and skill. Data were analyzed by using two common test mean that the t test on knowledge and attitude aspects, whereas the t’ test was used for the skill aspect. Based on the analysis of the data can be presented two results of this research. First, the competence of students in learning physics using LKS oriented Problem Based Learning for aspects of knowledge, attitude aspects, and aspects of each skill 75.90, 81.50, and 76.67. Secondly, there are significant impact using LKS oriented Problem Based Learning on all aspects of competence grade X of SMAN 1 Gunung Talang on the real level of 0.05

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum demands the use of ICT-based media and diverse learning resources. Everyday events, textbooks, teachers, modules, worksheets, videos, and other learning resources can be chosen by the teacher as a learning resource. The fact found in the field, that the learning resources used are textbooks and do not use everyday contexts. E-modules can represent ICT and independent learning materials. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in student learning outcomes using the E-module based CTL with physics textbooks at SMAN 2 Padang. This type of research used is a quasi-experimental research design with Randomized Posstest Only Control Group Design research. The population in this study were all students of Class X Science in SMA Negeri 2 Padang who were registered in the 2019/2020 school year. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study there are 2 classes, namely experimental class I and experimental class II with a total of 36 students each. Data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistics. By conducting a normality test and a homogeneity test it is evident that the data of both groups are normally distributed and both are homogeneous. Tests of similarity of two averages for all aspects of learning outcomes, carried out at the real level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom to 70. The results of cognitive calculation tcount = 3.8966 while ttable = 1.9900, for affective aspects tcount = 4.694 and ttable = 1.9900 and for psychomotor aspects thitung = 2.9056 while table = 1.9900. From the three aspects obtained t count> t table. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded, that the learning outcomes of students taught using E-modules based on CTL are better than students who are taught using textbooks.

Abstract

There are several factors that affected to the low learning outcomes of student, such as the learning models, learning motivation,  and student worksheets used which were still very simple. This research aims to determine the effect of applying the discovery based learning model to the learning outcomes of class X students. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling technique obtained by class X MIA 1 as the experimental class and class X MIA 2 as the control class. There are two data collected, namely primary and secondary data. The primary data in this study were the final test results at the end of the lesson. Secondary data in this study were in the form of midterm average scores obtained from teachers and Physics administration. The data obtained was processed using the t test and correlation test. According to the results of the analysis of the data found the results of the influence of the implementation of the discovery based learning model on the knowledge aspect of 20.25% and for the skills aspect has an effect of 26% on physics learning so that the hypothesis was accepted with α significant = 0,05.

Abstract

Competences that must achieved by student based on 2013 curriculum are attitude, knowledge and skills. Unfortunately , learning process conducted at school is not totally covered these competence yet. The purpose of the research is to investigate the influence of student worksheets contain of comprehensive intelligence in Problem Based Instruction model towards the physic competence students in class X of MAN 2 Padang on the spiritual attitude, emotional and social attitude, knowledge and skills. The type of this research is Pre Experimental Design with One Shoot Case Study. The population of the research is all of student in class X MIA MAN 2 Padang that registered on the 2016/2017 period. Sampling purposive technique used to get the sample. Sample in this research is class X of MIA 2. Research instrument in the form of a final test for knowledge competence, observation sheets for attitude competence and performance sheet for skill competence. Based on the data analysis, the average value for of spiritual attitude is 78,35, competence of emotional and social is 78,38, competence of skill is 79,26 and competence of knowledge for before and after treatment are 51,39 dan 75,14 respectirely. Competence of knowledge data obtained using t-test berkorelasi which is tcaunt is 13,14 and ttable is 1,70 at 5% significance level of the left side test. In conclution, the student worksheet that contained  comprehensive intelligence can strengthen skills and understanding of students to that physics competence of student can be increased

Abstract

In 2st century education teaching shouls be four main principles. The main principles are teaching should be student-centered, collaborative, have context and integrated with society. The real condition in the school teaching has not done according to the demands of 21st century education, it needs an appropriate and effective model to solve the problem. A solution of this problem is to investigate the effect of adaptive contextual teaching model of motion in life  theme to improve competence of grade VIII students in science subject. This research used quasi experiment method with randomized control-group only design. The population of this research was students of grade VIII SMPN 13 Padang registered in the academic year 2017/2018. Sampling technique which used in this research was purposive sampling. The research instruments   which used were observation sheet for attitude competence, written test for knowledge competence, and performance assesment skill competence. Hypothesis test used comparison test. The results of this research is the implementation of adaptive contextual teaching model gives a significant effect on the science achievement of students science competence in attitude, knowledge and skill aspect.
