Abstract

Education is an important parameter in the progress of a country. moving 21st century education empashasizes the ability of students to think critically, be able to connect sciense with the real word, master information technology to communicate and cellaborate. In the 21 st century human resource are needed which have competence.competence to form comparative, innovative, creative, competitive and collaborative human beings. Physics is a branch of science that has an important role in the development of science and technology, in physics subjects the ability to think logicaly, and systematically can be developed to equip students to be able to face challenges in a increasingly competitive society. The goverment has made various efforts to improve the quality of education. One of them is by applying problem based learning and requiring students to think critically. However, the real conditions at school show that the physics learning has not run well and the problem solving model is not yet fully implemented. One solution that can be used to overcome this problem solving based worksheet to improve critical thinking skills. The type of research is Research and Development (R & D). The object of this research is worksheets based problem solving on static fluid and dynamic fluid  class XI SMA/MA. The instrument for validating this learning material is a questionnaire sheet. The instrument for determining validity consists of six components, namely feasibility, model problem solving, critical thinking presentation, language, and graphics. Validator to obtain the validity of problem solving learning material consisting of 3 validators, namely physics lecturer FMIPA UNP. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistics. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the average value of the validation of physics teaching materials with problem solving on fluid static and dynamic fluid for the components of the six teaching materials is 90.51. Thus, the average value of the validation of physics teaching materials problem solving on static fluid and dynamic fluid can facilitate into very valid categories.

Abstract

Indonesia is the country that is prone to disaster. One of the disasters that are happening in Indonesia is fire. Many fire disasters occur and cause damage that is not a little. Therefore, the necessary efforts to reduce the risk of catastrophic fires. Fire hazard mitigation efforts can be done by providing knowledge and understanding through education in schools. Granting of knowledge and understanding of the catastrophic fires done by integrating disaster material into subjects. The subjects can be integrated material fires one of these subjects is IPA. In fact, in the implementation of learning at the school there has been no integrated material fire. Before integrating the material fire, needs to be done analysis of the suitability of the curriculum aim at a textbook lesson in IPA and IPA material compliance with the material fire. This research aims to know the suitability of the curriculum aim at a textbook lesson in IPA SMP/MTs Class VII semester 1 of aspects of conformance with SKL, KI, KD, scientific approach and assessment of authentic. Then the suitability of material fires with material sience on a textbook lesson IPA SMP/MTs Class VII semester 1 of the suitability of the realm of knowledge, i.e. factual knowledge, conceptual and procedural.Type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subject is a textbook lesson IPA SMP/MTs Class VII semester 1 published by A, B and C. Sampling technique used was purposisve sampling. Data collection instruments consist of sheets of the conformity analysis of the goals of the curriculum on a textbook lesson IPA SMP/MTs Class VII semester 1 and sheet material suitability analysis of fires with material science.Results of the study the suitability of a textbook lesson in IPA/MTs Class VII semester 1 with curriculum to books published by A 84.61% kesesuian percentage obtained (very appropriate), B 84.13% (very appropriate) and a textbook lesson published by C was 46, 93% (less fit). As for the suitability of the material with fire IPA SMP/MTs Class VII semester 1 obtained percentage on KD 3.1 20% category is not appropriate; KD 3.2 20% category is not appropriate;  KD 3.3 40% category is less appropriate; KD 3.4 40% category are less aopropriate and KD 3.5 46.67% category is quite appropriate.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of competency of students. Therefore, researchers tried a handout Physics oriented learning model of Creative Problem Solving is expected to develop students' creativity in solving problems of learning and encourage students to present ideas that will increase student competence. The purpose of research is to investigate the effect of the application-oriented learning model handout Physics Creative Problem Solving towards the attainment of students of class X SMAN 8 Padang. Type of research is quasi experimental design with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The study population is all students of grade X SMAN 8 Padang enrolled in the Academic Year 2015/2016. Taking of sampling was done by using purposive sampling technique. The sample which present in this research is class X.8 as an experimental of class and class X.9 as the control of class. The research data covers three competencies where are competence of knowledge, attitude competence, and competence skills. The research instrument is achievement test for competency knowledge, observation sheets attitude for attitude competence, and competence assessment rubrics for skills. Data were analyzed by testing the equality of two average and regression and correlation. Equality test performed on average two to the value of the learning outcomes of each competency second grade sample. Regression and correlation do to the value of learning outcomes competences experimental class knowledge.Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average value for the experimental class and the control class in a row on the competence of knowledge, namely 82.96 and 72.75, on the attitude of competence, namely 78.76 and 72.46, and the competencies and skills that 83.86 78.58. Data for the competence of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of both classes of normally distributed samples and having variances were homogeneous, so do test the equality of two average by t-test. From the calculation results obtained tcount 3.10 competencies for the knowledge, competencies, namely 2,804 attitudes, skills and competence is 2.275 with a value table = 1.669. Percentage influence handout Creative Problem Solving Physics oriented towards the attainment of Physics students at 33.40%. So it can be concluded that the application of Physics handout oriented Creative Problem Solving learning model can improve student achievement of competence Physics Class X SMAN 8 Padang

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of guided inquiry models of science process skills and critical thinking abilities of students viewed from the level of education, learning materials, and teaching materials used. This research method is a meta-analysis method. The research sample is taken from 10 (ten) national thesis journals that both use the guided inquiry model. The results of this meta-analysis research are the guided inquiry model seen from the level of education, that is, the guided inquiry model is equally effective at the secondary and secondary education level. Viewed from the learning material, the guided inquiry model is more effective on the material pressure to improve students 'science process skills, and the guided inquiry model is more effectively taught on simple aircraft material to improve students' critical thinking abilities. Judging from the teaching materials used, the guided inquiry model is more effectively taught with teaching materials in the form of student worksheets and student books to improve students 'science process skills, and the guided inquiry model is more effective when taught with the media to improve students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

One causes of low Physics learning outcomes is the lack of ability in creative thinking. It can solve by integrated biomass energy matterial and equipped with steps of heuristic problem solving learning. Integration of biomassa energy matterial expected to form energy efficient character to students. The purposes of these research are investigate the effects and contributed of integrated biomassa energy material to Physics learning outcomes. This research is Quasi Eksperiment Research with population were all of class XI MIA SMAN 12 Padang listed at 2014/2015 year academy. Results of research show the average of Physisc learning outomes are 82,62 and 74,90 at cognitive competence, 84,60 and 80,50 at affective competence, 87,80 and 85,10 at psikomotor competence. By using t analiys, tcount>ttable so alternatif hipotesis is accepted. From corelation analysis, the contributed of integrated biomass energy material is 66,8% to cognitive competence, 56,4% to affective competence and 67,1% to psikomotor comptence. The conclussions of these researh is there are significant effect and contribution of integrated biomass energy material to work, energy, momentum and impuls material in heuristiv problem solving learning

Abstract

This research intends to produce a worksheet containing scientific literacy on static fluid and dynamic fluid that has been valid tested. The use of worksheets can support the physics learning process. One solution is a worksheet with scientific literacy with static fluid and dynamic fluid. The worksheets presented in this worksheet already use scientific literacy steps. There are three scientific literacy steps, namely the scientific context, the scientific process and the scientific concept. This research is a type of research and development (R&D) that uses Sugiyono's development model. Sugiyono's development model has ten phases. This research uses only five phases, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and the design revision phase. To test the validity, this study used a questionnaire instrument. Valid questionnaire instruments were filled by three lecturers of Physics majors from FMIPA UNP as validators. Final data from the questionnaire instrument were analyzed using descriptive statistics. From the validity test, the worksheets developed were considered to be very valid with an average percentage score of 85.95%. thus, the Physics student worksheets with scientific literacy are in a very good category so that is suitable for use in the physics learning process.

Abstract

Literacy skills required students to answer the challenges of the 21st century. The Government of Indonesia seeks to meet those needs through the School Literacy Movement. School literacy movement is applied through the growing interest rates of reading, responding to enrichment books, and reading strategies in all subjects. In addition, the government also tries to improve students' competence through integrated science learning in junior high school. The reality in the field shows that the learning outcomes of integrated science are still low and the students' literacy is still limited to reading ability only. An alternative solution to solving this problem is to apply integrated sciencestudent worksheet integrate literacy skills. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of the application of the Integrated Science Student Worksheet on the theme of waves in life integrating literacy skills to the competence of grade VIII students SMPN 8 Padang. The type of research used is quasi experiment with research design that is non control research design equivalent only with postes. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and random cluster sampling. Instruments for collecting data consist of written test sheets for knowledge competencies and observation sheets for skills competencies. Research data were analyzed by statistical analysis using normality test and homogeneity test and equality test of two averages. Based on the data analysis can be stated that the application of integrated LKS wave theme in life integrate literacy skills in scientific approach give a meaningful influence to the competence of students of class VIII SMPN 8 Padang. Integrated the integrated science student worksheet gives influence to students' competence on knowledge, skill, and attitude aspects at 95% level of trust. Thus it can be stated that integrated science student worksheet integrated wave themes in effective life for use in integrated science learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low of knowledge level of competence  from content complexity’s aspects and cognitive levels process that must be mastered by high school students in Padang. The result of observations indicate that it is caused by several factors, one of factor is the unavailable student worksheet (LKPD) as a physics learning materials Padang’s high schools which refers to content complexity and cognitive process as implied by 2013’s curriculum. This study has purpose to produce preliminary analysis to LKPD oriented to content complexity and cognitive process in material dynamics of object motion for physics learning  in tenth grade students of  Senior High School or  Islamic Senior High School, produces shapes LKPD that has been designed, and to know quality of LKPD designed. Type of  this research is (Research and Development / R & D) using  4D models that consist of four stages which are define, design, develop and disseminate in a limited test. Validator consist of three Physics lecturer and tenth grade students as a subject of research. Data of this study include qualitative data obtained from observation, interviews and analysis of documentation and the quantitative data obtained from the validity, practicality and knowledge competency score after using LKPD . The data have been analyzed by using test validity and practicalities to determine the quality criteria of LKPD is in the design and test of effectiveness is limited by using N-Gain test to know the effectiveness of the use of LKPD is in the design of the study of students through pretest and posttest. Based on analysis of qualitative data obtained that have been made stating that the required LKPD containing dimensions of knowledge and cognitive process are complete to improve the competence of learners to fit the curriculum mandated by 2013. Based on the analysis of quantitative data, obtained an average score of 3.46 validity with very valid criteria, the average score of 3.50 practicalities by teachers with very practical criteria and an average score of 3.47 on the responses of learners is very agreed with the criteria as well as the average score of the study of students through the test with limited effectiveness N-Gain test was 0.51 are in the middle criteria, so we concluded that LKPD who has designed a decent used to improve the competence of Physics learners

Abstract

A research has been done in order to produce a valid, practical and effective interactive practice questions using of course lab with a scientific approach to the material grade X SMA Straight Motion. The research done isone of Research and Development (R&D), but the steps R&D is done only until the seventh step. Such steps are to recognize the potential and problems, gather information, product design, design validation, the revised design, product testing, and product revision. As research objects are interactive practice questions using course lab with a  scientific approach to the subject matter of Straight Motion and testing are students of class X, SMAN 7Padang. The results showed manufacture interactive practice questions using the course lab with a scientificapproach to the material grade X SMA Straight Motion very valid by the validity of 86.25%. The test results of practicality in the aspect of practicality   interactive practice questions using the course's lab with practical scientific approach with the practicalities of value to the results of teacher responses was 80% and for the results of the learner response is 79.76%. While the results of the effectiveness of interactive practice test questions using the course's lab with an effective scientific approach Characterized by an Increase in physics learning outcomes of students, Obtained gain score at 0.51 Categorized as moderate

Abstract

Achievement of competencies students have not shown optimal results. This is because not applied learning models that generate student interest and no teaching materials integrated character values. One solution to overcome this problem is to adopt a model of 5E learning cycle using teaching materials in the form of an integrated module of character values. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the model using the 5E learning cycle integrated module of character values to the achievement of student competencies class X. This research is a quasi experimental study. The research design used was Randomized Control Group Designed Only. The population of this study was all class X in SMAN 16 Padang listed in Semester 1 Academic Year 2013/2014. In this study two classes are taken as the sample grade experimental class and control class. This study used a purposive sampling technique and was selected as the experimental class class X3 and X2 class as a control class that each class has 32 students. To get the value of the cognitive aspects of testing. Meanwhile, to get the value of the affective and psychomotor aspects of the non-test techniques used in the form of an assessment rubric. Data analysis was performed using t-test with a significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the achievement of students in the experimental class competence higher than the control class in the three aspects of the assessment. It can be concluded that the application of the model using the 5E learning cycle integrated module character values have a significant influence on the achievement of competence tenth graders X students of SMAN 16 Padang
