Abstract

Reasoning ability is needed in life as a basis for solving the problems of life. One effort that can be done to develop the learners reasoning is apply science process skills. The implementation of this skill has a purpose so that learners are able to seek and find their own answers or the various problems faced by holding a series if science process skills. Therefore, researchers compiled Physics worksheets using existing skills in science process skills. This research aims to determine the effect of the application of worksheets based on science process skills to the reasoning power of students in grade XI of SMAN 3 Payakumbuh. The kind of this research i a quasi experimental design with a randomized control group design only, with a population of eleventh grade students of  SMAN 3 Payakumbuh enrolled in the academic year 2013/2014. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample is XI IPA 4 as a experiment XI IPA 5 as the control class. The research data is the ability of reasoning power of Physics students. The research instrument is the achievement test. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average power of reasoning experimental class is 68.86 which is at sufficient category and the average ability of reasoning power control class 62.99 in middle category. The data obtained were analyzed using two common test average through to test. Conclusion of this research is the hypothesis that there is a significant impact on the use of science process skills worksheets based on the power of reason in grade XI of SMAN 3 Payakumbuh be accepted on the real level of 0.05. Thus, the use of science process skills worksheets can improve students’ reasoning

Abstract

21 st abad memerlukan setiap manusia untuk dapat memperbarui terbaru untuk kecanggihan teknologi dan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). PADA 21 st Abad, Sumber Daya Manusia Yang kompeten diperlukan. Pemerintah Indonesia menciptakan kurikulum 2013 untuk menjawab resolusi 21 st pendidikan abad. Selain itu, pemerintah juga mengintegrasikan literasi ke dalam pembelajaran. Kondisi nyata di sekolah menengah atas menunjukkan literasi siswa masih terbatas dan belum diterapkan dengan baik. Solusi untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa dengan literasi ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa literasi dan menentukan nilai validitas lembar kerja siswa dengan literasi. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Litbang). Objek penelitian adalah lembar kerja siswa dengan literasi sains pada materi dan pengukuran dengan vektor. Instrumen untuk memvalidasi materi pembelajaran ini adalah lembar kuesioner. Instrumen untuk mengevaluasi validitas terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu konten yang puas, presentasi, bahasa, dan grafik. The validator untuk review menilai validitas huruf literasi Beroperasi Fisik terdiri Dari Tiga dosen fisika. Teknik analisis data adalah statistik deskriptif.     Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai rata-rata lembar kerja siswa dengan validasi literasi ilmiah untuk komponen empat lembar kerja fisik adalah 85,03. Dengan demikian, nilai rata-rata validasi literasi ilmiah lembar kerja siswa dapat diverifikasi dalam kategori sangat baik

Abstract

The low physics student learning achievement at SMPN 13 Padang were caused by the lack of students effort learn actively and the task that are given is not done, and almost 50% of students task showed the same result, so that students understanding about the materials was still low. Some way to increase learning achievement of students are doing scientific inquiry strategy by pictorial riddle. This research almed to observe the influence of implementation of scientific inquiry assisted learning strategy by pictorial riddle. Research type is quasi experimental with randomized control group design. This research was done at class VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Cluster sampling technique use to take two class as sample class, the choosen class were VIII4 and VIII5. Data student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of learning obtained from the test result, the affective and psychomotor domains derived from the observation sheet. Learning outcomes analysis technique used is the average similarity of two test at the 0,05 significance level for the cognitive and psychomotor domains, whwre as affective domain through the interpretation of data shown in the graph qualitatively.   Data were taken through test for cognitive aspect, through observation sheet for affective aspect and psychomotor aspect. The result showed that average test mark were 73.89 in experimental class and 64.93 in control class. In affective aspect, the average mark were 79.88 in experimental class and 71.82 in control class. Then in the psychomotor, the average mark were 77.36 in experimental class and 72.47 in control class. The conclusion  this hypothesis is the implementation of scientific inquiry assisted learning strategy by pictorial riddle can increase VIII grade students outcomes in IPA subject especially in physic in SMPN 13 Padang

Abstract

Physics learning in accordance with the 2013 curriculum is needed by teachers who can improve the quality of learning, especially in terms of the ability of students to think creatively. One way to improve students' creative thinking skills in learning is to use inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. However, the fact that is found in the field that in learning physics has not fully utilized technology in learning and makes learning in school monotonous still because student just expect learning material from the teacher so that it is difficult to develop students' creative thinking skills. The aim of this reasearch is to design physics learning multimedia based  on inquiry and know the value of validity for inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. The type of research used is research and development (R & D) and the object of research is inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. Based on data analysis obtained from 2 studies conducted. First, design physics learning   multimedia based on inquiry with a scientific approach. Second, the average result of validation data analysis is 80.4 with valid criteria. So, it can be concluded that the inquiry-based physics learning multimedia with the scientific approach is declared valid and can be used in grade X physics learning in SMA.

Abstract

One of the factors that lead to the low science competencies of students is the use of Student Worksheet (LKPD) that do not support the achievement of competencies, from the aspect of spiritual, attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the application effect of LKPD oriented with Brain Based Learning (BBL) approach to the achievement of science competency of the VIII grade students in SMP Negeri 1 Solok. This study is a Quasy Experimental Research with a randomized control group only design. The study population was all students of VIII grade in SMP Negeri 1 Solok listed in the Academic Year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Data from this study include the achievement of spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills competencies. The research instrument is observation sheet for spiritual and social attitudes competence, written test for knowledge competence, and performance assessment for competence skills. Data were analyzed using Chi Square test at the real level of 0.05 for the spiritual aspects of attitudes, social, knowledge, and skills. The result of data analysis of student competencies in spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and performance skills competencies of the experimental class are 78,07; 76,55; 76,32; and 79,70; while the control class are 76,50; 74,40; 71,94; and 77,30. The data showed that the experimental group had a higher level of competence than the control class. Chi Square test results obtained contingency coefficient C for competence spiritual attitudes, social, knowledge, and skills of each 0,062, 0,287, 0,292 dan 0,031. From these results it can be argued that the application effect of LKPD oriented with Brain Based Learning (BBL) approach has significant impact on the Achievement of Science Competency of the VIII Grade Students in SMP Negeri 1 Solok on social attitudes, knowledge, and skills competencies. While on the spiritual attitude competence, the LKPD oriented with Brain Based Learning (BBL) approach is not optimal to give effect to the achievement of Science Competency of the VIII Grade Students in SMP Negeri 1 Solok.

Abstract

This research was conducted because the learning process in the classroom was not yet using smartphone technology based on the curriculum 2013 revision. Each student has a smartphone device which is most are android, but they did not use it in the learning process, the teaching system using speech method, while the printed books still existing in the class. The usage ICT such as text, picture, sound, animation,and video in the class are in separated form yet. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to produce Handout based mobile learning assisted by android aplication and to know the validity criteria of the product. This variety of research is a mixed method. The research uses a validity test instrument that contains 4 aspects as follows; substances; language; graphic and utilization of software. The result are presented in the table,diagram and then analyzed to determine the advisability criteria of handout. Based on the research conducted, there are two results research obtained, first is the handout product are consisted of text, sound, picture, animation, and video while the second is the results of the validity test conducted twice, with an average value of the first validity is 86.93% with high valid criteria and the average value of the second validity is 94.49% with high valid criteria. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the product of handout mobile learning on parabolic and circular motion material assisted by the android class X SMA/MA is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is backgrounded by the minimal using of instructional materials that give opportunity for the students to learn from the real experience and find the concept of physics by themself. This study aim to look at the effect of the application of physics’s student worksheet (LKS) based on Novick learning model for learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 8 Padang. The population quasi-experimental with randomized control group only design is all eighth grade students of SMP N 8 Padang. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling. Analysis using t-test at 0,05 significance level for cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning achievement. The results showed that application of physics’s student worksheet based Novick learning model in learning to influential the learning achievement of students class VIII SMP N 8 Padang.

Abstract

21st century skills are needed that emphasize the ability of everyone to be able to think critically in connecting science with the real world, mastering information technology, being able to work together and communicate. So that everyone should have the ability to use media and information technology to be able to answer the demands of the 21st century. In responding to the demands of the 21st century, the government has designed efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia by developing the 2013 revised 2017 curriculum. The development of the 2017 revised 2017 curriculum contains important points, including: 1) the strengthening of character education. 2) 4C skills consisting of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. 3) Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). 4) Literacy. But I focus more on 4C skills. In the reality found in the field is that the teacher has not applied the problem solving learning model in classroom learning activities, the learning activities are still dominated by the lecture method. According to the teacher, many students still depend on the teacher. This can be seen in solving problems in the form of questions in the book. Not only that, the reality on the ground shows that teachers never make non-experiment worksheets. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of problem solving based LKS based on 4C skills in particle dynamics material and Newton's law of gravity class X SMA / MA. The type of research used is development research using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The validation assessment was carried out by 3 physicists by giving a questionnaire instrumentation containing six assessment components, namely the appropriateness of the contents of supporting material, problem solving models, 4C skills, linguistic feasibility, appropriateness of presentation, and the appropriateness of students' worksheets. As for data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques namely the validity test analysis. Based on the results of this study, the validation of student worksheets based on problem solving with 4C skills in particle dynamics material and Newton's law of gravity are 83.6% with a very valid category.

Abstract

Achieving the competencies of students in science subjects has not shown optimal results because students are not accustomed to finding, searching for, and solving their own concepts learned, but only listening and writing what is conveyed by the teacher. Teachers often deliver learning material by lecture methods rather than practicing in the laboratory. In addition, students still depend on what is conveyed by the teacher and the low interest or willingness of students to read can also lead to low competency of students. Assessment activities that still focus on the final assessment must be changed to authentic assessment, where authentic assessment assesses from the preparation, process, and final results of learning activities. Therefore, researchers chose to use the Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPS) model with authentic assessments to be able to improve students' competencies. This research is limited to heat and energy material which aims to investigate the effect of the application of the CUPS model on increasing the competency of VII grade students in SMP 3 Lengayang.The type of research conducted is Quasy Experiment Research with the design of Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this study was VII grade students of SMP 3 Lengayang who were enrolled in the odd semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. Knowledge competency data were obtained through written tests. Data obtained were analyzed using two similarity tests on average.The results showed that knowledge competency data, the average experimental class 78.36 was higher than the control class 70.26. The data is normally distributed and the variance is homogeneous, so that the two similarity tests are carried out on average with the t-test, obtained tcount = 2,378 and t table = 2,019. It can be concluded that the application of LKS is based on the CUPS model by giving an influence on increasing the achievement of science competencies of the seventh grade students of SMP 3 Lengayang on all three competencies

Abstract

One  of humans quality is to have the ideal critical thinking skills. in fact, critical thinking skills of students still have not reached the ideal category. Critical thinking skills can be trained by physics. One solution to develop students' critical thinking skills is the use of teaching materials that use media such as interactive multimedia modules aided game and  problem-based learning model. Purpose of this research is to found the influence of interactive multimedia modules aided game against the students' critical thinking skills. Type of this research is a quasi-experimental, research design with randomized control group only design. As the object of this study is to learn the material by using interactive multimedia module in a game-aided model of problem-based learning. The results showed that the working hypothesis which states that "there is a significant impact physics module-assisted interactive multimedia games in the model problem based learning to critical thinking skills class X SMA 4 Padang" acceptable in the significant level of 0.05 with the contribution of interactive multimedia modules aided game amounting to 32.51%. Then, module-assisted interactive multimedia game physics can be applied by teachers during the process of learning physics
