Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for developing Islamic education to anticipate the advancement of science and technology (IPTEK) in the digital era. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through interviews, literature review, and observations. The findings reveal that the development of Islamic education requires a curriculum transformation integrating Islamic values with technology, improving teachers' digital literacy competencies, and fostering collaboration between educational institutions and the technology industry. The primary challenges in implementing these strategies include limited technological infrastructure, resistance to change, and low technological competence among educators. Proposed solutions include providing adequate infrastructure, implementing continuous training programs for educators, and strengthening policies to support technology-based educational transformation. With the right strategies, Islamic education is expected to produce a generation of Muslims who are intelligent, competitive, and possess strong moral character amidst rapid technological advancements.

Abstract

Educational evaluation is a crucial element in the learning process that aims to assess the effectiveness and quality of education. In this context, evaluation is not only a measurement of learning outcomes, but also includes a comprehensive analysis of various aspects that affect the educational process. Evaluation can be defined as a systematic process to determine the value of an activity or object based on certain criteria. The evaluation process includes several important stages, including evaluation planning, data collection, data analysis, and report preparation. Evaluation also serves as a tool to identify strengths and weaknesses in the learning process, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and educational policies. Although evaluation is important, there are still many challenges faced, such as lack of resources and stakeholder resistance. Therefore, strategic solutions are needed to improve the effectiveness of educational evaluation.

Abstract

Test reliability is a fundamental aspect in educational evaluation, reflecting the extent to which a test produces consistent results under various conditions. This study aims to analyze the reliability of the developed test, with a quantitative approach using statistical analysis such as Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, inter-rater reliability, and temporal stability test. Content validity is also a major concern in the preparation of the test to ensure suitability with the measurement objectives. Empirical data were collected through a trial on a group of respondents, then analyzed to measure internal consistency and stability of the results. The results showed that the developed test had high reliability, with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient exceeding 0.70, as well as good consistency between raters. However, several aspects such as item construction and distribution of difficulty levels need to be improved. This study recommends further testing with a wider population and integration of technology in the evaluation to improve measurement accuracy. These findings emphasize the importance of developing valid and reliable evaluation instruments to improve the quality of educational assessment.

Abstract

Knowledge about proper nutrition is very important to support athlete performance, especially in improving endurance, recovery, and physical performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of nutrition education on nutritional knowledge in adolescent basketball athletes in Medan. This study uses a qualitative approach with observation and literature study related to the nutrition education program followed by adolescent basketball athletes. The data obtained were analyzed thematically to identify changes in athletes' understanding of the importance of proper nutritional intake. The results of the study indicate that nutrition education can improve athletes' understanding of the role of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in supporting their sports performance. In addition, the nutrition education program also plays a role in changing athletes' eating habits by encouraging them to consume more nutritious foods that are in accordance with their body's needs. The support factor of coaches and families and the sustainability of the nutrition education program are important aspects in the application of this nutritional knowledge. This study suggests that nutrition education should be an integral part of adolescent basketball athlete training to maximize their performance and health.

Abstract

Assessment and early identification play a crucial role in supporting inclusive education for children with special needs (CSN). This study aims to explore assessment methods, the identification of children's characteristics, and effective learning strategies in the context of inclusive education. A case study was conducted on a CSN student at SDN Baru 06 Pagi, utilizing observation, interviews, and multidisciplinary collaboration to identify the student's needs. The findings reveal that a collaborative approach involving teachers, parents, and psychologists positively impacts the learning process of CSN. However, challenges such as limited teacher training and a lack of formal assessment tools remain significant barriers. Recommendations include providing specialized training, procuring formal assessment tools, and implementing policies that support inclusive education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the influence of digital technology on English language learning in secondary schools. With the rapid development of digital technology, the importance of mastering English as an international language has increased significantly. This study employs a quantitative method with a questionnaire distributed to 200 students and 50 teachers across several secondary schools in Jakarta. The results indicate that 75% of students feel that digital technology has enhanced their understanding of English, while 80% of teachers state that the use of technology in teaching makes the learning process more engaging. However, challenges such as the lack of training for teachers in using technology persist. This research is expected to provide recommendations for the development of a more effective curriculum and teaching methods. In an increasingly interconnected global context, proficiency in English has become one of the essential skills. Therefore, this research focuses on how digital technology can facilitate English language learning at the secondary school level. By leveraging technology, it is hoped that the learning process can become more interactive, engaging, and effective. Through in-depth analysis, this study will also identify the challenges faced in the integration of technology in education, as well as provide recommendations for improvement.

Abstract

This study explores the English vocabulary mastery profile of fifth-semester students in the Family Law Program at STIS Harsy, Central Lombok. The primary objective is to identify students' vocabulary proficiency levels, as vocabulary is a key foundation for productive language skills. Using a descriptive research method, the study evaluates the vocabulary skills of all students within the specified group through a multiple-choice vocabulary mastery test. Results categorize student vocabulary proficiency into three levels: "Not Good" (43.33%), "Poor" (30.00%), and "Good" (26.67%). The significant portion of students in the "Not Good" category highlights the need for instructional interventions to enhance vocabulary knowledge, essential for effective communication in academic settings. Conclusions indicate that targeted teaching methods, including explicit instruction, cooperative learning, and digital tools, are recommended to address vocabulary deficiencies. Implementing these strategies can foster independent vocabulary acquisition and improve overall language skills, enabling students to participate more actively in academic contexts.

Abstract

Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women (1868) remains a cornerstone of American literature, depicting the challenges and growth of four March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—during the American Civil War. This paper explores central themes in the novel, focusing on the tension between individual desires and societal expectations, particularly regarding women’s roles in the 19th century. Alcott addresses how each sister grapples with personal and societal pressures: Jo rejects traditional gender roles in favor of independence and writing, while Meg embraces femininity and marriage. The paper also examines the moral and emotional conflicts faced by the characters as they balance personal ambitions with family obligations. By analyzing character development, symbolism, and narrative structure, the study demonstrates how Little Women is not only a reflection of its time but also a timeless exploration of family, identity, and the pursuit of happiness. The novel's examination of feminine duty and domesticity continues to resonate with contemporary debates on gender and societal roles.

Abstract

Diesel Power Plants (PLTD) are a type of power plant that is widely used in various regions, especially in remote areas that are not yet reached by the PLN electricity network. This research aims to analyze the operation of the PLTD system, including operational efficiency, fuel consumption and its impact on the environment. This analysis uses a general approach based on relevant literature and case studies from several PLTDs in North Sumatra. The research results show that the efficiency of the PLTD system is very dependent on engine maintenance, fuel quality and operational loads. Although PLTD has advantages in terms of flexibility and ignition speed, the main challenges are the high operational costs and exhaust emissions from the PLTD engine.
